RE: potty training ... DS is nowhere close. He's 2.5. They will help when he moves up to the next room at daycare, but I know we just need to commit a weekend to it. He was doing well for awhile with not pooping at night or soaking through his diaper overnight. I wasn't PT until 3 and neither was DH so we shall see.

With DS, I wanted DH and my mom in the room. My mom and I are super close, and she's a nurse too so I felt like she would be able to be a medical advocate for me if needed. I ended up needing a c section so it was just DH.
This time I kind of want DH, my mom, and my MIL. MIL has a nice camera and is a pretty good amateur photographer and I think it'd be cool to get some photos during labor and right after birth. And I love my MIL and we are close so I don't think it'd be too weird. This seems like a lot of people though so I'll have to think about it.

Only H will be in there. I have thought about a photographer this time, but I'm not sure. Other than the photographer for DS2, who was a dear friend, it has only been H. Well there was the 30 min for DS1 that my dad sat with me while H ate in the visitor room with my mom. I've never done a photographer with any of the boys, but it may be nice to do that this time since it's our last. My friend is a video/photographer and lives 9 hours from me. A few moms from my bmb with DS1 helped get her to me. It is awesome to have a video and DS2 likes to watch his video. I just wish I could afford to have her this time too.

That glucose drink does suck and I have drank my fare share of it - I started bartering with my OB because it does suck. I was diagnosed with GD with #1, opted out of 3hr with #1 missed 1hr by 2pts (1 more than with #1), and they made me do 3hr with #3 because I only wanted to do it once. I asked them this time to not waste my time and just do 1hr to which NP agreed, hopefully OB will too. So far I've been diet controlled, but I've gotten to see LO weekly from 32w on and kept at a manageable weight. It only sucks when I'm not hungry and have to eat. LOL
Edit because apparently reply and quote were too close for my fat finger. 😊

This is a lot of work but seems like it makes the best tasting iced brew. I'm gonna try it.

H and I didnt really discuss who would be in the room for DS. But after I get all settled in and epiduraled up here comes the ILs. Lol. My MIL sat in a corner of the room crocheting while I laid there trying to get DS to turn over. It was a bit awkward to say the least. But H didn't even want to be in the room for the delivery but the nurses kind of guilted him into staying. Good times.

We had a conversation about it and they made sure no one came in. I think it would be so weird to be in labor with parents or ILs. They could come in after we were settled in the recovery room but no any other time. My son went fast so anyone there for this kid will be seeing a lot of crotch. My coworker told me his sister was our labor nurse. Sorts weird to think of her being down there in the action and having a connection.

spacecadet,Noooooooo! Seriously how awkward! What 'cha doin'? Making a blanket. Just relaxing. You? Try into not deliver your grandchild butt first while trying to bite my tongue. You are clearly more concerned about counting stitches, which can be done in the visitor's room, the lobby, your car, or from the comfort of your couch. It wasn't going to be an option for our parents, but they each stated they had already BTDT 3 times and were fine not being included in that as the grandparents.

Well you guys were chatty last night lol. Im looking forward to the middle of the night feeds with a newborn as you guys will still be awake lol, at least I'll have somebody to chat to rather than a snoring H
Leaving in a bit for our 20w scan. Had to have bloods taken this morning and it's already bloody bruising. My body bruises so easily it's ridiculous lol.
I'll post a pic of DD in the U/S thread afterwards.
So excited 😊💖

I am living in a weird sort of anxious state and also trying to write my end of year report cards, none of which is compatible. So really I've been binge watching Travelers instead of doing anything of any substance.

Dragging myself to work today with a box of tissues and sudafed. I think I'll be good to drive in and I'll take medicine when I get there. It will be time to take more when I'm leaving to come home so I'll have a good window.
Stupid meetings and stupid cold from hell.

FTR, I didn't think I would be able to catch up or have anything to contribute. Alas, I am practically covering page 6 To add, I hit a wall around 3pm. This is when I need a nap. My children do not. Is theresuch thing as a nap nanny. Someone to come watch my kids while I nap? Maybe that should be a thing. Do you have a preteen or teen kid in the neighborhood that would be able to come for a bit in the afternoons? Since you are home, I would think you don't have to pay much. Maybe supply them with snacks lol.

I have an OB appt today but the anatomy scan isn't until Monday. Still, glad to have an appt today. And I get out of work early which is always great. Then picking up lunch and meeting the woman with the BOB! I am pretty excited about it. I told H I was taking out cash for it yesterday and he just replied "cash me outside" so, good to know he is on board. LOL.

The mom was usually home or running short errands while I watched the baby/helped around the house.

So just as I thought, I have an anterior placenta. Sucks but whatever.
But she's perfect and already measuring above average 😩 Her legs are so long and it was amazing watching her move them around and she kept crossing them lol, she was tucked into a ball, but stretched out a couple times. I could've watched it forever.
I'll post a pic in the U/S thread!

thatgolfb, grumpycat, MIl watches the boys from 10ish to 12 or 2 ish a few days a week and H gets home betwen 1-3. So I basically have a mother's helper already. 😂

I want to make that iced coffee.
So it's 1030 and I've already had a teeth cleaning at the dentist, popped into the optometrist to have my glasses fixed, called the IRS to fix our account (we paid but they said we didn't), and called the insurance company. Whew! That's enough adulting for one day.

I watch the video she made for us weekly and cry still. We will be doing that again this time for sure. The trick is to find the perfect fit re: photographers. You want them present but not intrusive.

I'm sitting in Starbucks waiting to head to my ultrasound and I feel like I'm going to throw up. Why is anxiety a thing? And of course I had this drink that's full of sugar so all I can feel is the baby moving so there is NO REAL REASON to be anxious about things, but here I am.
