Today is my last day with students. I'm very excited. The weather is fabulous too so I'm expecting to have terrible attendance, which is okay with me. I did buy doughnut holes, cookies, and chips for those who do show up. Two more weeks until I'm finally on summer break!!

I'm such an adult, got excited that these automatic fragrance sprays for the house were on sale (half price wooo) so I grabbed one for the kitchen.
I stood there watching it until it sprayed to made sure it works lol.
Probably going to have a take away for tea as our house is so tidy and clean, and I don't want to ruin it for a couple days lol

Here. In the throws of potty training again since vacation ruined pretty much what we had accomplished. It's hot again in New England so I think we are going to lay low today.

I shouldn't be here - I need to get a bunch of work done today.
I am going to tell my work partner tomorrow that I'm pregnant (yes I still haven't told him) so that we can announce on FB this week. I'm so very nervous that he's going to have a bad reaction. I would email him so that he can control his facial expressions except I once got upset with him for emailing me about stuff that should be handled in person. Wish me luck - I feel like I am going to cry if he has a bad reaction.

Just had my Makena shot, now I'm rewarding myself with a cinnamon crunch bagel from Panera. I'm going to Target for bras after this, then the gym, and finally Home Depot since I didn't go yesterday.

We've decided to get some chicken wraps from this kebab place in town. It's awesome place, people travel miles for their kebabs.
Going out for lunch tomorrow with my Mum, since she's day off. Need to text my Nan to see if she wants to come also.

Ugh, I am not looking forward to potty training, but I'm really hoping DD will be ready to at least day train by the time she's two so we can try and not have two in diapers.

Waiting in the doctors office. My doctor is always so far behind and it's drives me crazy. She's an amazing doctor with amazing bedside personality which is why she's always late. She will listen to you forever and never rush you.
But I hate waiting. Lol. I'm off work till the afternoon anyways.

My mom seems to be under the impression that just because all of our family friends are having boys that I am as well. I reminded her that she was convinced DS was a girl and that we will find out in October/November. *eye roll* if the rest of my pregnancy results in people guessing the sex of my kid, I don't know if I'm gonna make it as team green.

thinking about this a lot. saw something on FB about a 12 yo girl that got to help the Dr delivery her baby brother.? what do you think about that? I thought it was a bit odd myself.
who are you letting in the delivery room for delivery and who have you let stay in the past?

AnnPerkins, that is amazing!!!!! birdsofafeather, it'll just be me, DH and medical people. I don't have any kids yet though, so who knows what I'd do if my 12 yr old was interested.

birdsofafeather, yeah slightly odd to me but I suppose if the 12 year old felt ready for it and the mum had explained everything to here then each to their own. I'm just having H and my Mum. My mum for many reasons, as she's the one that will be like "that's enough get your head in the game" when I get to the point where I can't do it anymore. She was with DS I REALLY needed that stern talking to haha. Not that H is useless, but he will tend to just do the normal stuff and rub my back and go "it's ok babe" ... plus my mum knows a lot of the staff since she works there, she went and got her ward that she runs person that will do the epidural as she trusts him, when I had to have one. My BFF really wants to be at the birth but only 2 people are allowed in the room (not including the staff) and actually I don't want anyone else there.... it's a very personal thing and while she's been my BFF for over 20+ years, there's just a line I don't want to cross lol

I definitely didn't help deliver the baby, but I was in the room when one of my little brothers was born. I was 11. I remember mostly sleeping on a chair.

Good luck peggels24. I'm impressed you managed to go this long without telling him! birdsofafeather, I was 13 when my brother was born and can not even imagine having been in the delivery room. No thanks. For my son, it was just me and H, and will be the same for this one.

beefinch could you please explain what you do for afternoon tea? I'm intrigued! peggels24 why do you think he will react poorly? I also shouldn't be here and should be working through the pile on my desk. AnnPerkins hope todays shot was better! I'm going to need to know where I can get that pineapple romper, soooo cute! grumpycat I've considered finding out so that I can either prove MIL wrong or concede that she was correct. Only 5 more months to go lol. birdsofafeather I agree I thought it was odd. I only plan on having MH in the room. I had an issue with the foster puppy that resulted in me shampooing our couch at 10pm Saturday night. I had left MH at our friends house and he wasn't responding to texts or phone calls because his phone died. So that led to a conversation about having a pregnant wife and that he needs to be reachable. In reality I said this "what's gonna happen is I'm going to go into labor and I won't be able to reach you, my mom will be at work, and then I'll have to call your mom, and then I'll have to hurt you!" I may have used a stronger word than hurt lol.

I've had a lot of students tell me they're been in the delivery room with their mothers when they have kids. I'm always surprised and impressed. As for who's in the room; my husband, my doctor/nurses, possibly a doula. That's it.

birdsofafeather I think it is completely dependent on the child if they are involved or not. Her face was precious and pure joy so i thought it was great! Afm- only H will be in the room. I would get way too annoyed with other family there. If my sister lived closer I would consider letting her be there because she would be a good coach I think
