I need to vent... SIL is getting married this weekend, so MIL and H's grandmother are flying in from OOT on Thursday. They requested spaghetti and meatballs for dinner at my house on Sunday. Today MIL tells us that SIL's friends and a random aunt may be coming too, so instead of 6 of us, it'll be 9 for dinner. I'm not sure I want to make spaghetti now for that many people. I'm so annoyed. That's rude to just invite random people over and demand a specific food be served. I mean, thankfully it's inexpensive all things considered, but still very rude.

cnf, super rude. Then, H texted SIL, and she said that they won't know until Sunday if the friends are coming. Seriously?

Ummm AnnPerkins my water broke at around 4 am also. On the exact same day. What time was DS born? DD was born at 11:21 PM. 1:57pm central, WHICH IS PRACTICALLY THE SAME TIME. Lol me. It's not the same time at all. AM vs PM, Ann! It's been a day. thatgolfb

I just got banned from a FB bmb. A bunch of women were complaining about the GD drink and saying how they plan to refuse it. I pointed out it's just sugar water and GD is dangerous and choosing to feign ignorance over it because the drink is icky is kind of ridiculous. I got torn apart, told the drink is toxic (it is not), will make me throw up (it did not), pass out (it did not), require being hospitalized (lolwhat?), and then banned. WTF just happened?

It's almost (tmi) Tuesday so this goes here. I've been having absurdly bad allergies/pregnancy rhinitis. Well out of nowhere, one nostril just started running. I thought I had a nose bleed ... nope just really fast snot. So so gross.

grumpycat - I've taken the GD test a few times. As long as it is cold, it doesn't bother me. Last time, my stomach was a little unsettled after, but nothing a few saltines (post blood work) couldn't handle. It's easier IMO with a straw.

grumpycat, I didn't think it was terrible either. Not good, but not worth throwing a fit over. It does give me a stomach ache and a wicked sugar crash headache though.

Good morning everyone! Trying to catch up. It's been super busy here with school almost done and ds1 having his finals and soccer season. Plus, ds2 will be 11 in a couple weeks!

cnf it sounds like they did you a favor by banning you. That's ridiculous. The GD drink isn't something I'd drink for fun but omg it's not that bad! I swallow it down like a shot. The quicker, the better.

And LOL to my kids being in the room with me. That's what teenage boys need to see, mom spread eagle, screaming, blood, yeah no.
Only H in the room with me. He's my best friend and the only one who knows how to keep me relaxed. Anyone else would stress me out.
My mom comes in immediately after baby is born with the boys to meet their brother.

Tim Horton's has a new frozen watermelon lemonade and it's really good!
Also, hot coffee makes me puke still (thanks baby) so I have to drink iced coffee every morning. It's getting annoying to drive to Tim Horton's everyday. Anyone know how to make iced coffee at home???

Apparently allergies were actually a bad cold brewing. I got about 4 hours of sleep last night (only after I took a benedryl and a decongestant) and am still feeling miserable. DH looked at me this morning and was like ... well you aren't going anywhere today. Most of the time he gives me a hard time when I don't feel well, but I guess I'm sick enough this time *eye roll* quinn I think people usually brew the coffee twice for iced coffee. Or just once and chill it for awhile if you usually make strong coffee.

I worked a 16 hour shift yesterday. They've already called twice for me to work a night tonight. Ungrateful shits lol. I am DED today. I have a MW appt in about an hour and then my brother is taking me for sushi before he heads back to Toronto.
As for who will be in the delivery room, it will use be DH. And I barely want that. I do not like to be talked to or touched during labour. With DS, my ILs were literally in there the second DS popped out. I didn't get to hold him for almost 2 hours. With DD they had to stay home and watch DS. My parents were out of town when DS was born and they came the next day to see DD. Cuz they know about boundaries yo.

I'm going to have to start bringing in my phone charger for days I don't have a proctoring duty. Bored me is bored. I'm on APTM on my laptop right now and have FB access, but that one I'll keep off district servers and on my data. I just don't want to kill my battery.

snuff9861, liking for our similar birth plans (don't speak to me, don't touch me) not your in-laws basically stealing your newborn. My in-laws are 6 hours away, so even if we call them when I go into labor they still won't be here in time for kiddo's birth. My mom will be taking care of DS (and she arrived about an hour after DS was born and I was OK with that -- I held DS for the entire hour lmao, sorry not sorry DH). Enjoy your sushi!

I have so much to do and no real motivation to do it all. We have something planned every weekend until the end of August. I feel like I just get unpacked and caught up and it's time to pack stuff up again.

bethkate Yeh no – that’s rude. We are coming over, you are making this and we aren’t going to tell you how many of us there will be. EW. grumpycat It is definitely not that bad at all – I mean, I wouldn’t order it at a restaurant – but it was drinkable. cnf Yeh a banning was probably a good thing in the long run. What is wrong with people? quinn DH makes super strong coffee – like almost double the amount of coffee – then pours it directly over ice and puts it in the fridge for a day. Then he enjoys it over ice for the rest of the week. Just be careful and don’t use a glass pitcher like he did. misskilljoy Good luck tomorrow!!

With DD, my IL’s showed up at the hospital when I was being induced even though they were told not to come. Then my MIL spent all day trying to get in the labor room (which I refused). Not only did it aggravate DH because he had to deal with them but it aggravated me because he kept having to leave to deal with them. He finally convinced them to go wait at our house (less than a mile from the hospital) but he had to leave with them to get them “settled” (he came back though LOL).
When he called them the next morning to say I was going in for a c-section, they took an hour and a half to show up (while DH was waiting outside the OR by himself because the epidural wasn’t working and they weren’t sure if they were going to have to use general anesthesia or not so they wouldn’t let him in) and then managed to sneak into the recovery room. They both took pictures with DD but never once thought to get a picture of DH with DD.

bethkate I was done when I read they requested food. They would have gotten a laugh out of me... with a 'bring your own food if you want feeding' so rude, I feel for you. I would deffo be saying something. Maybe ordering a take out since you don't know how many people now? cnf oh I would have gotten banned as well. Stupid people. Yeah the drink tastes crappy but it's not for your benefit it's to help the baby out if they need it.

It's been such a lovely day. Got some gardening done, now about to make some spaghetti and meatballs.
So excited for the 20w scan tomorrow. She's doing some rolls right now and some pops, obviously excited for the spaghetti.
I had a meeting today and the lady came to our house for it, she didn't realise I was pregnant and went "oh! When are you due?" When she saw me. That's my first pregnancy comment from somebody that doesn't know me. Nice to know that I don't look tubby anymore!
