We're still on purées only too. If you're doing actual solids, do your kids have teeth? Despite all the drool and chewing on her dummy, she still has only the bottom two so far so I've been hesitant to give her pieces.
She has now tried chicken and fish (cod and other white fish so far) and seemed to like it just fine. C had 1 tooth when we started, but this week she had another pop through. But mostly she just gums everything.

E has no teeth yet, but A has 2 and working on a 3rd. They had salmon and peas last night. Despite hating pea purée, they like the real thing. Salmon was also a hit.

blabbermouth I tried the lentils with H and he ate them. I cooked them in 1/2 broth 1/2 water with a bay leaf and added sauteed carrots and green peppers. I then mixed them with some small bow pasta I had made.

quinn, I only give him a piece at a time MAYBE two so he can work on moving food into his mouth. But I only do it when I can be there. He will shove as much as he can, if I leave him with too much on his tray and choke himself. My babies typically get a solid food at dinner and breakfast if I'm up for the mess. A also really enjoys playing with the spoon, so I leave that with him AFTER I've been able to feed him. It is good practice.

Tiny bits she won't stuff in too much, but bigger pieces she tries to stuff. Also yes to giving her the spoon at the end to play with while I clean up.

Banana was a hit - E cried when she finished and I hadn’t given her more yet. And I think scrambled eggs are growing on them.
I want to go to the grocery store myself so I can walk around and look for more things for them. May have to try ground beef/turkey soon.

Corn is virtually indigestible to kids, good roughage for them lol.
So DD2 had lasagna last night. No rash and no throwing up. I'm hoping that means when she was yakking left right and centre the last time she was sick and the rash was from NORO. She also had cheese tonight so we shall see.
Tonight she had steak, baked potato and sour cream, corn and sweet potato.

The baby couldn't shovel it in fast enough. SaveSave

I’m trying to reduce carbs, but DS wants his favorite pasta. I make it and he just stares at his plate. Thankfully DH appreciated it!

DD has been hungry lately! She's been taking down a pouch and a bunch of real food at lunch and dinner. I still need to think of what to make for dinner tonight...

blabbermouth, E has been doing the same. Most nights, I’ll give her a purée plus some of dinner, and she’s eating it all.

Basically if she's cranky it's because she's hungry 🙄
We went to a baseball game tonight and she actually didn't eat that much, just some steak and cheese pie. But at lunch she had a pouch and a pack of mum mums while we waited then a bunch of turkey, cheese, focaccia bread, tomato and a couple fries 🤷
