Breakfast is overrated. It takes too much effort to plan for a healthy breakfast. When I do, my stomach can’t even really deal with it.
Apparently this is an UO according to the hospital staff.
I’m totally down for coffee though!

I’m totally down for coffee though! I can make scrambled eggs and toast in less than 10 minutes. Throw some fruit in there, bam, healthy breakfast super quick.

I’m totally down for coffee though! I used to share this same opinion until I hired a macro coach to help me gain lean muscle mass. She taught how important breakfast was in order to have a healthy metabolism. You really should eat breakfast, ideally within 30 minutes of waking up. I hate breakfast so I add 2 tablespoons of whey protein powder to a cup of coffee ×2. Fuel your body.

I find I eat healthier at breakfast than I would at any other meal. Give me all the breakfast.

I’m totally down for coffee though! Like @nuts, I can fix scrambled eggs in no time, but I only started being able to eat breakfast in the last few years. It used to make me nauseated.

Breakfast is my guaranteed family meal. Family dinner can’t always happen because of work schedules, but we always have coffee and something quick (usually eggs, smoothie bowl, or overnight oats) at the table together. I like starting the day that way. I would not be jazzed for hospital breakfast though.

I don’t love eating week day breakfast either but force myself to have some yogurt and protein granola.

sheilathetank, I make an amazing breakfast shake with coffee, ice, protein powder, shake of cinnamon, banana, and almond butter. I can drink it in the car. It’s so good.

We are also a family breakfast family. Dinner together is a rarity, but mornings we all sit down together. We also command center for the day over breakfast, which I feel helps everyone to have a fresh idea of what the day will bring and what their roles in it are.

The hospital I work at has some great food. Breakfast is fairly standard but they have amazing lunch options. The hospital I delivered my son at had great food. Especially breakfast. I had a longer stay because of a C-section and man those breakfasts sweetened the pot.

I would have stayed an extra day to let them keep feeding me.

I’ve heard that when you are a non-breakfast eater your stomach is not making digestive enzymes at that time, which contributes to not feeling well when you do eat it. It can be modified by building up to eating regularly. Also, give me all the breakfasts. I would be on the floor by 9am without it.

I never thought to add the powder to my coffee. This is genius and I'm trying it tomorrow. Agreed, this is brilliant. What kind of protein powder do you use? Optimum Nutrition. Either Gold Standard whey or Platinum Hydro Whey. The platinum has a turbo chocolate flavor that is amazing. I buy from Amazon.

I love breakfast food. I prefer to wait awhile if I'm doing a big breakfast, or going out for it. No earlier than 9ish. But I have no problem eating oatmeal & greek yogurt at 3:30am when I get up for work.

I prefer earlier date nights- ie afternoon and early dinner. Movie at 2, dinner at 5 and home by 7? Perfection.

The hospital I work at has some great food. Breakfast is fairly standard but they have amazing lunch options. The hospital I delivered my son at had great food. Especially breakfast. I had a longer stay because of a C-section and man those breakfasts sweetened the pot. DD was born around 8:30am so I was still able to get breakfast. After not eating for fucking forever I was beyond hangry. When I put the call in for my order, the conversation went like this: Order taker: what would you like? Me: all of it. Order taker: excuse me? Me: I would like all the breakfast. All. Of. It. Order taker: .... Um, ok. All the breakfast. They ended up having to send two trays and I ate every single thing. I then regretted my decision horribly later when I realized I still hadn't had my first pp poop and it wouldn't be fun coming out.

@dazedandconfused don't you wake up at 430am to make your husband breakfast? I do, but I make it for him I can’t deal with it for myself at that time. For me: eggs for dinner = cool, eggs for breakfast =blech. Seeing I’m in the hospital I suspect DH is visiting McDonalds for an Egg NcMuffin daily.

I can’t think of many breakfast foods that take me longer than 15 minutes to throw together. Some under 5 with a little advance planning. Eggs, sausage, oatmeal, smoothies, peanut butter toast, waffles or pancakes that’s all quick.
I do like to have more involved breakfasts when I have the time and appetite though.

I am not a fan of the Facebook birthday fundraisers. Confession? I don't know what this is. But sounds like something I DNW. Basically, FB allows users to create a fundraiser in honor of their birthday. The user picks the charity it will go to, the deadline, and the end goal. FB then promotes the fundraiser on your friends' feeds. It's fucking shitty. I hate it.

MH is not a first thing in the morning eater. I think when we went to Disney is the only time I've seen him eat before 9am, so he would have energy to walk around.

I am not a fan of the Facebook birthday fundraisers. Confession? I don't know what this is. But sounds like something I DNW. It’s a thing where you choose a charity you’d like people to donate to in honor of your birthday and then Facebook sends invites to your friends asking for donations to it. And it shows up on your news feed and shows who has donated to it/ sends you alerts when one of your friends does. I have no idea if Facebook takes a cut of the donations (I assume they do).
