H and I talked diet and exercise this weekend. He told me that I have his blessing to workout after work every night if I want to, and he'll do dinner and bedtime for DS.
I feel like an alien abducted my H.

How do you all work out on your lunch? Do you shower? Just clean up? I'm usually hot mess when I workout.. I don't know if I'd ever be able to do it on my lunch. We have showers here (and a gym) if need be but I’d never do a workout during work that required that.

I’m scared.

I took 6 a.m. Pure Barre classes when I was doing that and it was the first thing that got me up early to workout. I didn't hate it. Now I get up at 5:30 3–4 days a week for yoga but I'm thinking maybe I'll switch it up and do BBM in the mornings instead. I’m looking at doing Pure Barre during lunch. Is it as workout with the potential of sweating? I don’t want that in the middle of my work day. I’m between that and yoga It's low impact, a lot of strength work. I think you'd be fine.

Report back, because I'm curious what you think of it. Rusty Red & brux I did the bod pod about six years ago. It when I was strictly following New Rules of Lifting for Women in both diet and workout. It was probably the best I had ever looked and felt. I think my fat percentage was around 20%. The person who conducted the test said that I was doing really good with my fitness routine. She worked with college athletes and said that females she consults with typically are within the 14%-18% range. I've not done the test since (knocking on the door of 40 and two kids later) but I would be curious how I compare since I now run a shit ton in combination with lifting. That $14 price is amazing. I'm seeing where it would cost someone over $100 to have the testing done where I live. I just googled for BodPod in my area and I see that the public university health center does them. It's cheaper for members and students, but only $40 for non-student, non-members. Not too bad.

Is this where I say I’m trying orange theory later this week? I’m scared. I was so scared too. It's not scary. Maybe watch a couple youtube videos on OTF rowing form to get familiar before the coach shows you how to do it this week.

I can't fully work out for 3 more weeks but I'm trying to better my eating starting today. Mh is on board so we meal planned and grocery shopped this weekend. We prepped breakfast and snacks yesterday too so we'll see how the week goes.
I'm going to try to go for a few walks this week depending on the weather and do some light free weights at home.

I am lucky in that my SO supports me losing etc, but he is also doing muscle gain which means he gets to eat a lot more than me. It is ok though because he is big in protein so at least it isn't horrible food around.

I guess him and the resident dog have had a couple snippy interactions and so the boyfriend is over it and doesn’t want to do training or give it time. She wants to wait it out but since he doesn’t, they are returning the dog. It’s been 1.5 weeks. If we had judged after 1.5 weeks our rescue would be gone. It's amazing that people rescue animals and are disappointed when there are challenges. Same. Our trainer told us that rescue dog behavior typically escalates for a month or so as they acclimate and try to establish their place in a new pack. Puppies sometimes longer. Which is why we are having issues again after nearly 6 months.

Is this where I say I’m trying orange theory later this week? I’m scared. Don’t be scared! It’s not scary I promise. There’s such a variety of people and levels in the classes, it would be very difficult for someone to truly stick out. You’d have to be a real next level weirdo.

We bought a 3 year old dog from a breeder. It was a mess trying to get her to acclimate with our 9 year old dog. They fought all the time and the newer dog peed on so many surfaces out of anger or spite or something.
We went back and forth on giving her back, but we stuck it out and I'm very glad we did.

I can only exercise on my lunch break. I'm not a morning person and I'm dying for relaxation by the end of the night.
I started this weight loss journey one year ago this past Saturday. I've been slacking lately, so today is Day 1 all over again in my head. I'm back to using MFP and tracking workouts with my Fitbit.

Once the weather turns I am going to start doing that I think. I need more sunshine in my life anyway.

Yeah, since we don’t know what kind of trauma she had before we got her we don’t know what kind of things will trigger her until they do. Plus, now that she’s getting bigger than our older dog she is taking another shot at being alpha and Scout is not cool with it. So it’s a fun ride. Our trainer guesses that she was pretty severely abused and/or neglected before the hurricane and she may always have some issues, we just have to our best to mediate them and keep our home a safe place for her.

It’s going to suck ass when I’m walking back in 100 degree weather. I’ll sweat more on my walk than during my workout...

Dim Sum Garden in Chinatown (Philly) is on GrubHub! That was the one I was eyeing. What should I eat? I am seriously thinking of having a light lunch just to fill up on dinner. 😂 so late but you need some xiao long boa

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. seriously? That's half my daily carb goal. I know nothing about counting macros but have been trying to pay attention to them over the last month. Is it just because alcohol is the fourth macro that should be treated as a carb? Where can I read more about this concept of adjusting macros? IIFYM? You're my macro guru. Yes, since alcohol is the 4th macro you have to either count it as a fat or as a carb. I like to count it against carbs because I feel like it's more akin to a carb than a fat, but if you are in a pinch and have fats left over you can do that. This is the site that I went through and the person I used to calculate my macros. www.poppylocks.com/But this site also has a free calculator and more information on how it works: www.iifym.com/iifym-calculator/I'm in an awesome IIFYM female only Facebook group with so much info if you're interested.
