Starting the daily suuuper early because my water broke and we're en route to the hospital. These third babies like to come early, don't they, wineallthetime? I'm a little nervous, and my mom is still out of town. Pete is really worried but I'm trying to reassure him they might be able to keep the baby in longer? We'll see...

Omg, cagoldi! What is with these babies?! You're 34 weeks, right? From what I'm told they won't risk the potential for infection after 34 weeks since babies generally do really really well at that point. Keep us posted! I can't believe your water broke! You got this!

You got this! Yep, 34 weeks. They gave me a steroid shot and they're trying to keep her cooking for another day or two so that has time to work. They said she will need to go to the NICU, but for how long will remain to be seen. I sent Pete back home to be with the kids so now I'm a little worried about being alone when things start to move fast. But, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. I'm kind of nervous now that they talked to me about preterm baby stuff, but FX she'll be a strong little thing like your Arlo.

cagoldi how far from the hospital are you? How long would it take P to get there? Also, will your mom be able to get back quicker to help? Who was with the boys this morning?

If it makes you feel any better, I know 2 people who had babies at 34 weeks and both had less than a week NICU stay. I think P is going to be a super strong little champ just like A!

If it's rush hour, could easily take him 90 minutes. My mom is about a 7-8 hour drive from us. I don't think she can come back any sooner than she planned (Sunday). She went out to see grandma with my aunt, who is legally blind. So unless she drives here today then back to get her Sunday, she would be stranding my aunt out there. It's only 4:30 here now so I'll call her in awhile and see what she thinks. I think my grandma has her oncology visit today. One of my sisters came over so we could head to the hospital.

Also, Goldi. I know how overwhelmed you must be feeling. It helped me to just kind of think about getting through each hour without thinking too far ahead since so much is up in the air in situations like this. You and P are both going to do great.

Not sure if that's just a before 34 week thing though. It wasn't super pleasant, but not as bad for me as a lot of people said it'd be.

I saw the thread title and wondered what kind of furniture delivery cagoldi was having today! I can't believe your water broke! How scary/exciting! I hope Pete makes it to the hospital to be with you quickly. And that everything goes smoothly and fast! But not too fast!

Hey guster! I was going to page you today! I was hoping that you didn’t get packed in a box 😉 It does feel like that. We had weekend guests from Friday to Monday, and I've been in a frenzy of packing through it all. We close this afternoon, and the moving truck is coming on Monday. I thought I would hate having that limbo time, but now we can go up to the house each day with two carloads of things and set up things like the kitchen and the bathrooms so it doesn't feel so difficult when we move in on Monday. ETA: stuck in a box and no idea why

Morning! I’m drowning in hiring hell. Downfall to living in a small town....every one wants me to hire their son/daughter/in-law/bff/niece/whatever. I only have 5 positions to fill and I can’t please everyone.
Tomorrow is my surgery so we are headed over to the town where the hospital is tonight because it’s a few hours away and don’t want to get up at the ass crack of dawn. So we got a hotel room and my parents are coming to stay with S.

Well aren't these April 18 babies up to their own thing. cagoldi take deep breathes for contractions and calming. I'm glad we have wineallthetime here to help you through some of the anxiety. You know we are here to listen to all your concerns and anxieties while P is at home with the kids. I hope you are able to keep her in for a few more days.

guster We did something similar, we had 2 weeks to move, so we would take a car load of stuff over each evening for the first week. The moving truck came the weekend in between and we moved everything, then because we had rented, we had a week to clean the old place. Enjoy your evening lfig! Hope you get some good sleep tonight and tomorrow is easy!
