kaeguri team long hair here. I specifically don't cut my hair while pregnant. It will be in a bun 99% of the time once I have a newborn again. DNW hair in my face or to have to fix it. +1 Team Man Bun all the way. i cut 8+ inches off to donate right before i got pregnant. i can put it up now, but shorter bits come loose in the back. should be long enough PP that i can do f/t messy buns again.

Ugh, I just weighed myself and it looks like I gained 3lbs since last week. I've definitely had a growth spurt in the last 2 weeks. When looking back through my notes with DS I had the biggest weight around this time too. We'll see if my Dr mentions anything today.

I left my hair long for the NB phase last time, and then cut it to look nice (to about my shoulders) right when I went back to work. It helped manage all the hair (I have tons, and it hadn't started falling out yet) and also was easier to deal with during PP hair loss. Not sure if I'll get it trimmed while I'm pregnant - I cut it to my shoulders in November or so.

DS knew my H was going on a work trip today so he woke up at 5:30 this morning yelling for him, hoping he could catch him before he left. H was already gone and I had a sad kiddo I'm tired today.

I had to get my health screening this morning for my health insurance. I was mildly ticked that my cholesterol was 234. It has been sitting right at 200 since 2015. I googled and apparently higher cholesterol in pregnancy and while nursing is a thing. Whew. My glucose was 78 even with having a Greek yogurt a couple hours prior and BP was normal. I'll call it a win.

I’m team long hair even though my hair is currently short. I hate it. Work is super busy. A big project I’ve been working on is coming to fruition in the next couple weeks! My 3.5 year old is driving me crazy. I want a break from her. I feel terrible saying that. I can’t seem to find any patience with her lately.

Still waiting on consistently higher energy levels to come my way. I had a brief surge or energy yesterday afternoon and evening. It was the best I’ve felt in months! But back to feeling exhausted today. Hoping my energy picks up soon!

kaeguri I'm going to get mine cut to just brushing my shoulders at around 37 weeks. Just mainly for faster drying. I anticipate lots of showers. Lol my thing is that I barely shower with a newborn. so dry shampoo and bun looks like the way it's gonna go. If I let my hair grow out from where it is now, it should be an inch or two past my shoulders by the time baby gets here. Then, when the pp hair loss starts growing back, I'll probably hack it short. i forgot how stupid all that new hair growth looked with long hair on me last time. Omg i am still dealing with weird PP hair growth from DS. The hairs in front by my forehead stand straight up. Seriously. I have to put a clip or Bobby pin in to keep them down. So excited to have even more after this baby. 🙄

I dropped off my registration fee and the enrollment form at our daycare today, so it's official. It was a little weird to fill out everything but you know, actual child information since our kid isn't born yet. 😂

But back to feeling exhausted today. Hoping my energy picks up soon! I feel great in the morning but by 4pm I can't keep my eyes open. I feel bad for DS because I have like zero energy in me in the evenings. It also doesn't help that these weird pregnancy dreams are disturbing my sleep 😠

The one (?) nice thing about being pregnant is that my husband is always willing to go get me food and cook it. Right now he is off to the store to get me perogies because I was whining about how I always wake up at 3am hungry and nauseous. It really is sweet.

I had to pick up my sick kid from daycare at 12:30 and have to keep him home tomorrow. I don't feel well either so it's probably for the best, but I really need my pto for maternity leave.

So I'm thinking of scheduling an elective gender ultrasound since I'm 16 weeks and am dying to find out.

So I'm thinking of scheduling an elective gender ultrasound since I'm 16 weeks and am dying to find out. Why not? There are some places where its like $75. That doesn't seem too steep. If we hadn't done the testing I probably would do the same. Especially since my AS isn't until 21 weeks.

That’s so exciting cara! I’m so tempted to do the same! We have our anatomy scan scheduled for April 3, but it feels so far away! The frustrating thing is I also have an ultrasound scheduled for this Tuesday for monitoring my cyst, and I feel like they may be able to tell us the gender then, but DH can’t make it to that appointment. So even if they can tell the gender, I wouldn’t want to find out without DH there. 😟

Oh boo sasam That's a bummer. However, at least there are services like this available just in case you and your H decide it's something you want to do.

sasam maybe you can ask the tech to write the result down and put it in an envelope and you and your husband can open it together later?

I told MH K would murder him if he took the pizza leftovers to work earlier this week. He pouted but decided living was better than leftovers

notmoose Have also cried over food, I can sympathize. I’d be so angry. My inlaws came for dinner on Friday and decided not to leave until Sunday afternoon. Pregnancy is hindering my ability to fake being nice and it was a struggle to get through the weekend. They mentioned coming to stay when the baby is born and I need to ensure that does not happen. My ILs always overstay their welcome. For Xmas we gave them specific dates and that "didn't work" for MIL so she did whatever she wanted. She also gets super rude once I start getting snippy. When we lived in CA it got to the point they had to stay in a hotel, but they didn't visit often because she's terrified of flying and it's "expensive". Now that we're about a 4 hour drive apart (and they're retired) I'm just waiting for them to show up unannounced. MH and I have had some arguments about dealing with them. He feels it's disrespectful to speak up against them, so it's a work in progress. It doesn't help that MIL doesn't engage with the kids, I honestly don't think she even held DD as a baby when we did finally see them. Sorry for the commiseration rant, feel free to bitch anytime. When we went to visit them when DD was 2 months old, I spent a lot of time hiding in the bedroom "nursing", so keep that in mind. I didn't have any issues nursing in front of people, but it was a convenient excuse to hide

When DD was born my sister and BIL lived about 4 hours away and drove in unannounced while my parents were visiting. We lived in a 2 bedroom townhouse at the time and they were nothing but obnoxious. It caused a rift for a while because I kicked them out and said they couldn't stay. My mom wanted me to apologize and I wouldn't

DD's eczema is getting worse. I have a feeling it's related to dairy, maybe gluten. But cutting out either is going to be a nightmare, since that is all the child eats. She doesn't eat meat, seafood, veggies, smoothies (except for the Naked Green Machine), baked goods, waffles/pancakes, beans, nut butters, etc. Every meal is a freaking battle already just to get her to try things, but most of the time, she won't even touch it. She'll sit in her high chair for 2 hours and refuse to try anything. I'm so tired of it.
