I feel kind of gross today. I can’t tell if it’s because of what I’ve eaten or if it’s just normal pregnancy stuff ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I have been going on 45-60 minute walks after dinner so that makes me feel a little better. I just put on a show on my iPad and walk on the treadmill. It’s actually relaxing and feels like a little bit of a break.

Ugh, they just called to cancel my ultrasound for tomorrow because of the snow storm. It has been moved to next Thursday. Boo. That sucks. I'm so over winter this year and I live in the Midwest.

I have a CPR class today. The last time I took it, I was pregnant too and it was....hard. Not looking forward to it.

Back home! We spent a long weekend in NM with H's dad and his new wife. Both are super sweet, so it's always nice to visit them. Plus I love my SIL. Drove 8 hours yesterday, and back home. Getting my new loom set up today and I'm so excitedddddd to start weaving again.

Random. Are you team short hair or long hair for those first few months of newborn life? Mine was at a super awkward length in between last time and I hated it (the same length it's at now -_-). So far I have-
short hair- cooler, lighter, cuts off at least 10 min from my wash/dry time, but I have to style it to make it presentable (takes anywhere from 5-20min depending on hair day).
long hair- hotter, weighs more, takes 42 years to air dry since it's so thick, but I can just throw it up in a bun and look fairly decent.

kaeguri I haven't cut my hair short in almost 9 years. I've been wanting to cut it into a layered bob that would be slightly longer in the front but I need to grown out my bangs first. I think they may be long enough just before the baby is born so I may cut it then. For me it's easier to style and upkeep long hair but it's always getting so tangled. When DS was a newborn I would just mostly let it air dry instead of blow drying it. I am worried that short hair might be too much work so we shall see if I end up cutting it.

kaeguri I’ve only ever had long hair with a newborn and I love it. So easy to throw in a bun, or dry shampoo and call it a day.

kaeguri last time my hair was too short for a bun during the newborn phase but wasn't super short either and it was awful. This time I am going long and I will be team mom bun from the get go.

I also prefer long hair, buns, and dry shampoo. I tried short hair and I hated it. I hated the look on me and I had to style it to just look decent.
I found Olive Garden dressing at the grocery store. I don't like Olive Garden outside of soup, salad, and bread sticks. And I could drink that dressing with a straw. So good.

maternity jeans rant follows.... i am trying to find are dark wash/black/grey skinny jeans that i can wear to work, which has been no easy task. i ordered 3 pairs from old navy and 2 are going back. one pair with the stretchy side panels were decent. they are a little saggy, but they have belt loops so i can wear a belt. the pair of "rockstar" skinny jeans i got from there are super-skinny in the legs and i feel like they'll be too tight in the thighs in another week. so those are going back. and there was a 3rd pair with a full panel in the front but a low panel in the back, which causes them to sag off my butt. so those are going back, too. maternity jeans at the gap are $74.95!!! and even though they have a 40% off code on their website, of course they are excluded. i found signature by levi's maternity skinny jeans on amazon for $30, so i ordered those and will report back. if anyone has any leads on dark wash skinny jeans for under $40, LMK. i couldn't find anything in my size at kohl's or motherhood online, and all of target's seem to have holes in the knees. Search for GAP jeans on thredup.com - I wore those things to death. As a hippy short girl, GAP is the only brand that didn’t have a saggy crotch and/or butt.

MIL just asked me when to expect baby so she can take off work. My response was to expect baby anytime between the first week in August to the last week. Seriously?
And my mom is planning a shower for her family only, MIL is not invited. This should be fun. I'll be 15 weeks on Friday. This will be another looong pregnancy with more of this nonsense going on.

My MIL always plans a vacation during the last 4-6 of my pregnancies. This one is no different. It's actually less than 4 weeks before my due date. If she tells me one more time not to have the baby while she's gone, I'm going to snap. My mom seems to grasp the concept just fine and doesn't plan a vacation the last 2 months of my pregnancies. She even confirmed with me that it was okay for her to travel during my 31st week of pregnancy this time.
We have no control over when we deliver!!

Right? I chuckled when someone above mentioned their MIL doing this. Then it happened to me. MIL was on vacation when DS showed up too. But DS showed up way early. H and I were supposed to go with and I'm glad we couldn't. Because I didn't want to fly or spend long days on my feet in the heat. And who plans a vacation for 33 weeks? I was already mad about that, then she told me I would be fine because she was when she was pregnant. (Insert largest eye roll possible)

I'm pretty sure I felt a kick last night while holding my three year old. Apparently baby didn't like her sitting on its home. I'm 14w4d but this is about the time I believe I felt kicks with the last one.
Now I'll obsess about trying to feel movement every day...

kaeguri I'm going to get mine cut to just brushing my shoulders at around 37 weeks. Just mainly for faster drying. I anticipate lots of showers.

I had an OB Appointment today. I'm measuring right on track, HB in the mid 140s, so yay! AS is 4 weeks from tomorrow at exactly 21 weeks. I'll be getting the cervical length screen done also.

Pregnancy got me out of shoveling the snow. 😉 I mean, I tried to help, but it was so heavy so I stopped. H was upset at me for even trying.

My maternity jeans are here! I'm going to start wearing them next week. I will mourn the no front pockets but I'll make it work.

kaeguri team long hair here. I specifically don't cut my hair while pregnant. It will be in a bun 99% of the time once I have a newborn again. DNW hair in my face or to have to fix it.

Lol my thing is that I barely shower with a newborn. so dry shampoo and bun looks like the way it's gonna go. If I let my hair grow out from where it is now, it should be an inch or two past my shoulders by the time baby gets here. Then, when the pp hair loss starts growing back, I'll probably hack it short. i forgot how stupid all that new hair growth looked with long hair on me last time.

Also long hair here! I usually get fringe bangs when my post pregnancy hairs fall out and I get some awesome bald patches on the sides of my forehead.

I didn’t experience the shed with DS. It’ll be interesting to see if I do this time.

DS had a hard morning. He was upset and clingy from the time he got up until I dropped him where he cried. I may have cried too. I had them take his temp since it's not like him at all and it was fine. Usually he runs in and starts playing right away. I'm half expecting a call to pick him up later.
I'm getting/have a cold. As soon as I went to bed last night my nose plugged up so sleep wasn't great. Yesterday was so busy and physically exhausting so I'm extra tired today.
