Decent squat day today. Did my opener for a set of 2, then was going to do another set of two but only did one because something felt off (I think my feet were off), then I moved on to reverse band sets* for a set of two at my planned second and third attempts, then an overload set at 5% over my 3rd attempt for one rep.
*Because I'm usually speaking my own language here, for these sets we take the resistance bands (often used for assisted pull ups) and secure them to the top of of the power rack. This takes some of the weight off the lift at the bottom, but about half way up the assistance from the bands is less/gone and I have to finish standing up without that assistance. It helps build speed out of the hole as the faster you are moving when the bands let off, the more momentum you have to keep going and confidence in handling max effort weights. This week's bands probably removed about 100 lbs at the bottom of my squat. The next time I will use lighter bands that will make me do more of the work.
Thus concludes today's lesson in obscure shit GM does.

I haven't been great about updating, but I've been working out 5 days a week consistently. Mostly on the Peloton. I haven't been doing BBM often because I'm obsessed with the peloton haha.

I’ve worked out for two weeks straight. Running three days a week, and doing 21 fix videos the other days. About to turn on the ‘Dirty 30’ workout.

Another 3 mile negative split run. I did better then yesterday too, all my splits and overall pace we're faster. I hit 10:11, 10:07, and 10:01 respectively.

I took the weekend off, but back on track today. I did Zumba strong for 20 minutes, then cardio dance and toning video on popsugar for 30 minutes.

I took Saturday off but I still got in 16,000+ steps. Sunday was yoga and today I did 2 miles on the treadmill and then 10 minutes on the erg.

you guys, i have been so bad. until today i had not worked out since Thursday. I just jumped on the peloton though and i feel much better. my weight loss is going so slowly that i am having a hard time staying motivated. Anyways i did a 30 minute class.

Sorry your motivation is waning. Can you try and find another goal other than weight loss to motivate you? Try and ride faster or see if you can squeeze 1 extra workout in for the week. Whatever you choose just try to focus on smaller goals and not weight loss.

I've been keeping it light this week because my half is on Sunday– mostly doing long walks and yoga, but I did do a good spin workout this morning. It was crazy– I was the only one who showed up, so it was a private class! No getting away with slacking!
Tomorrow I plan to do an easy 5 miles, Saturday I will swim and then Sunday is my race! I already have plans to get a veggie burger, fries and a beer afterward.

Good ideas! i've been trying not to focus on the numbers and instead gain stamina and get stronger, but it is hard to not be disappointed by the scale. I'm going to try and focus on some other things!
