cornpop , Is it possible for you to buy a cake if you don't feel up to baking one? calendula , I'm sorry about your grandmother. I'm debating buying. I feel badly though because I bought one when we celebrated on her actual birthday on Tuesday. I figured I'd make up for it by making one this weekend...but...ugh. calendula I'm sorry about your grandmother. It's so hard to deal with things like that, especially when pregnant and far away.

I'm physically miserable today and so, so tired. I'm trying to not complain though.
On the plus side, I think we're finally buying a vehicle today (and by we, I mean my DH). I'll be glad when we're done with this whole car buying stuff.

Sorry for your loss calendula. I wouldn’t travel that far in the last month personally.

calendula I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad she passed peacefully, the way she wanted to, and that you had had the chance to say goodbye. I don't know about traveling that far away this late in pregnancy, I'd definitely check with your OB.

I'm sorry for your family's loss calendula. Another vote for checking with OB. At this point, I'd expect them to be a little squirrely about letting you go 6 hours away.

My mom just called me to tell me to take castor oil blended with apricots to induce labor. Or geranium oil apparently. 🤔🙄

My mom just called me to tell me to take castor oil blended with apricots to induce labor. Or geranium oil apparently. 🤔🙄 Do not do castor! You’ll cramp like a mother fucker and have horrible diarrhea and it likely won’t even result in labour. ETA: lots of people use it, I just don’t think it’s worth the trouble even if it does work. Eta2: just saw the emojis and realized you’re not attempting it anyway lol.

I don't trust anything that comes out of my mother's mouth regarding medical, health, nutrition, etc. Unless I hear it from some more reputable sources.

I had an appt with my OB this morning and had the lovely GBS swab. I thought it was going to be at my next appt, so I had DS with me and he was freaking out at me stripping below the waist? I don't know what was happening, he's having a day.
Good news is, my BP looks good and she confirmed no protein in my urine, so she's not worried about the headaches unless they get worse or don't respond to Tylenol or caffeine.
I'd like to stop stepping on the scale from here on out, tho.

My IRL friend who was due 5 days before me (3/7) gave birth yesterday.
That means I could theoretically be giving birth any day now.
Newp newp newp.

Welp. It only took 35 weeks, but I have officially had someone try to decipher this kid's sex with an OWT. Hope the kid isn't too traumatized by being loudly asked if they're a boy or a girl then grumbling at an uncooperative crystal. xD

Maybe I'll start a thread.

DS was watching the screen at today’s scan and was like “what’s that?” and I’m like “it looks like an alien, huh? That’s just baby.” And the tech gave me a funny look. I guess people usually ooh and aww.

ThankGod it goes back to normal within hours... and for hats.

Omgosh you guys this baby is so busy in the evening I can hardly stand it. So much movement and pressure and twisting. I’m still cramping and uncomfortable. I feel like I wanna curl up and die. I have an appointment Monday and I’m really starting to get a little concerned about feeling like this. I’m only 33 1/2 weeks. I didn’t even do much today. I am honestly not sure how to “relax” more if that’s the problem. My to do list is growing. I guess a baby’s coming? Maybe we should get the bassinet, car seat and clothes out? A swing or bouncer might be nice? Oy oy oy.

Had an appointment with my Ob today. Checks position of baby to use the Doppler and says “oh, there IS a fairly big baby in there”
.... so much for u/s saying 70th percentile. I’m screwed.
2cm dilated. And got a membrane sweep just because I felt like it (lol).

calendula im sorry for your loss. i probably wouldn’t be traveling too far in last month though katietopaz im glad they didn’t find any protein in urine and your bp is good - and that your headaches have gone away! whatsit well according to the schedule, you are next so i’m guessing that sweep will be effective😉 it’s 530 and dd is chatting away in her crib😑 as long as she’s content i’m not getting her until 6. going to try and get some last minute stuff at target this morning and then i’m meeting a friend for coffee. definitely getting a donut. i’m officially the most pregnant i’ve ever been and i feel like there haven’t been any signs of labor. as much as i wasn’t thrilled when it happened, i feel like my inner control freak was spoiled with an induction the first time around

polson here’s hoping! I had a wicked headache last night that Tylenol wouldn’t touch. So hopefully I’ll get a chance to rest a bit just in case.

calendula I am sorry for your loss. I am sorry that the distance is so far away that makes it difficult. For the funeral is there anyway you can skype/FaceTime/google hangout into it? When DHs grandma passed we brought a computer so his sister who lives 12 hours away could listen to the service.
