I have off today so I'm trying to figure out what we can do that won't be too exhausting for me. I was originally thinking the zoo but that seems like too much. Maybe the playspace but Em said she didn't want to do that so now I'm stuck.
We do have to do the grocery shopping which I haven't done since she was a few months old. Weird.

My 2yo decided she's afraid of her bed (because of bugs?) and she wants back in the crib. I'm tired and not sure what to do.

My dad had knee replacement surgery this morning. I swear he is going to be the bionic man soon.

sweetc129 do you think something like “bug spray” would help? Like, a spray bottle of water that you spray her bed with before bedtime and tell her it makes any bugs disappear? Or would that make it worse by somewhat admitting there are really bugs?

My 2.5yo will randomly ask for her crib back too, but I just tell her we don’t have it anymore and big girls sleep in big beds like mommy and daddy have. She’s accepted it so far🤷🏼♀️ Maybe try getting her a spray bottle with water and use it as “big spray” before she lays down at night?

ArielMermaid mrsmonogrammedNot a bad idea about the bug spray, but you’re right not sure it it’s be like admitting bugs were there? I will keep that suggestion in the back of my mind.

I was super scared of bugs as a kid (ok, and still am.) I’m trying to think of something that would have made me feel better. A flashlight so if she wakes up she can just check her bed real quick and see there are no bugs? I have no idea. I hope you can get some sleep soon.

Good morning! We transitioned DS to his new room and big boy full sized bed this weekend, so I can commiserate sweetc129. He is doing fairly well with the transition, but gets scared when he wakes up at night because of the new environment. Fingers crossed it passes soon and he adjusts.

sweetc129, I hope this is just a short phase she is going through. My DS who is 4 says that he is scared of both the light and dark and he either needs someone to protect him at night or he needs to protect me. I think he really just wants someone with him when he goes to sleep. He does not like being alone in his room. ArielMermaid, I hope your dad's knee replacement goes well. We joke that my mom is part bionic. She has metal in one of her legs and one of her hips from breaking them in the past. My goal for work this week is to stay motivated. I have had such a difficult time with focus at work. I have a short list of things I want to get completed at work. I think I am going to order a dresser tonight for the baby. Also, I think we are going to order a dresser for the baby tonight. I have no idea where it will go, because this baby does not have a room yet and probably won't until later spring/early summer.

sweetc129 I hope this is just a short phase for your DD or that you're able to find a solution so that she's more comfortable in her own bed. ArielMermaid Glad your dad's surgery went good. Hope he has a smooth and quick recovery! My dad had the same kind of surgery this past summer (the same day I got BFP actually, lol). He had a rough recovery, but is doing good now.

It's snowing here (again). I'm so over winter. Not much going on today. I'm going to do some housework and organizing. Otherwise we'll just be laying low since it's so cold and snowy out.

I’m over winter too. I need to take DS out today to do something fun but it’s so cold and icy. And my spd is back with a vengeance so I’m being a big baby about that.

I'm sorry about the spd. 😕 I had it bad with my pregnancy with DD2. I know it can be quite miserable.

I’m at an all day work training and my lower back is killing me all of a sudden. Like really intense. I guess I am sitting a bit longer than usual but nothing crazy. They’ll just have to be okay with my frequent walks to the bathroom.

Today is the first day that it's actually pretty warm out and not raining in over a week. DD asked to go to the zoo, so we're probably going to do that in a little while. Right now she's pouting because she wanted one of her friends to go with us, but they are busy today. I also think I'm going to dig through my baby clothes today to see what we still need. DH doesn't have to work today, so I might go shopping and see if I can find any good sales for last minute baby items.

Mh and SS are going rock climbing today before he heads back to his moms. They’ll both be back Friday, I’m hoping it’s not too long of a week for DS and I.

I hope this is just a phase and she gets back to sleeping in her bed sweetc129. We've been going through something similar with DD but she is scared of monsters and shadows. So at bedtime every night I turn the flashlight on my phone and she looks under her bed/blankets, closet, drawers, for monsters and it seems to be helping her not cry and being scared. We also leave her closet light on and the hallway light on in addition to her nightlight.

Mh and DD had today off so I'm slightly jealous of them. But they are going to meet me for lunch.
My office is dropping like flies. My boss was out sick on Friday and there are 5 of us employees and we are down to two. My replacement came in this morning but left after a few hours to go get checked for strep. So I'm hoping she doesn't have it and that I survive the week without getting sick.

cp3 my office has been the same way too. It’s gross. Every one has tissues, Lysol, and Tylenol at their desks 😂 I’m home alone today (MIRACLE!!) and did a zillion errands this morning and spent way way too much money but I got literally everything I might need to finish the projects on my to do list. Pray for DH - he doesn’t know what’s about to hit him.

leatherpants and ArielMermaid add me to the feeling like an old lady club. I want to cry every morning when I get dressed and I feel like I move at the pace of a snail half the time. I am not sure if what I have is SPD, but I am pretty sure it is based on what I have read.
