HI! Baby clementine has arrived at 38+5 weighing 8 lb 3 oz and 20 in long! Just wanted to post a quick update and I’ll work on the full birth story for you guys. We’re both doing great and baby is sleeping sweetly in my arms which is the most amazing thing. I cannot believe he’s here! You’ll notice I am still calling him baby bc he has no name yet 🤦🏼♀️ MH and I need to get it together and decide. We’ve at least got it narrowed down to 2. Thanks for thinking of me today! Aww! Yay!! A big congratulations to you!! ❤ |

Is it wrong that I’m mildly smug that the roads were actually pretty good this morning and it only took me an hour to get to my testing center so I’m sitting at a coffee shop enjoying a coffee and bagel *alone* and dh is doing the morning with the girls for...the first time EVER??! 😂 I do hope they’re nice to him, but it’s such a freeing feeling to have nothing to do with it. I left before anyone got up.

I feel super nauseous today. Like more so than usual. I'm so over this. I was also up for 2 hours in the MOTN because my heartburn. I'm sorry for being so complain-y all the time.
My brother and his girlfriend are coming in tomorrow though and that makes me super happy. But it's to celebrate my mom's birthday, which means I have to make a cake tonight. Do not feel like doing that.

I am weepy AF today. I think it’s partially the weather and partially two nights of nightmares. I should have hopped in the shower this morning for a good cry to get it all out of my system. #random Ugh cornpop little first tri things are coming back like a throwing up when brushing my teeth. I’m sorry you never got a break from that stuff  it’s awful. I looked at the roster and I think mid-late March is looking like our very busiest Baby time. It’ll be interesting to see how it all works out! Hopefully babies that are a little bit early but totally to term is a trend/contagious. |

I started feeling nauseous last night and woke up a few times because it got so bad, then finally threw up. I’m not a puker and don’t think I’ve caught anything so this is annoying AF. I have a growth scan today and need to grocery shop.
le sigh.

clementine Congratulations! Enjoy all the sweet baby snuggles. I also hope you have/are enjoying some carbs too! cornpop, I am so over the nausea too. I have had nausea the whole pregnancy. It seems like it is getting worse again. dizzycooks, enjoy your coffee and bagel...you deserve it. I do the morning routine usually 4 out of 5 days a week. The one day a week that DH is home and does it is always so nice. I am glad today is Friday, but this morning felt like a Monday. I slept terribly last night and overslept a little. DS spilled his Lucky Charms (no milk) both getting into the car to go to daycare and then getting out of the car at daycare. I am so over mornings right now. At least DS didn't have a major meltdown this morning like he did yesterday. He cried for 10 minutes yesterday because I washed his booger down the drain...4 year olds.

I know in the long term it will all be okay, and I'm reassured that your doctors are saying that too, but I know you must feel rotten about those precious first days together looking differently than you had planned. I got a text from my mom this morning that apparently my grandmother was found unresponsive this morning. She has been in a hospice nursing home since last summer and was definitely ready to go, but selfishly I'm feeling badly about the timing. At this point I'm not sure its a great idea for me to travel down for arrangements (its about 6 hours away). I wish I was closer to be able to support my dad (its his mom). They weren't close but he is handling all of this himself today and if I were closer I would have dropped everything to be with him.
ETA: she passed a little while ago, peacefully in her sleep just as she wanted. Thanks for your condolences. We weren't close at all and I got to say my goodbyes last summer, so I feel okay about all that, but I just wish I could be closer for my dad's sake. Has anyone had that conversation with their OB about how far to roam in the last month of pregnancy?
