Waiting waiting waiting in the waiting room at my OB. I need them to look at me so I can bail. My babysitter has somewhere to be soon. Hopefully they get me fast.

I just had an appointment with what was my 2nd least favorite midwife. She may now be my least favorite.
I told her I was nauseous still, just like in passing because I've accepted it at this point. And she asked if I was taking anything so I told her I did take Diclegis but it didn't really help too much so I stopped when I ran out. Well she like very accusatory said I was taking the wrong dosage. Well...shouldn't the dosage be on the bottle??? Plus, HOW THE F does that help me now like 2 months later??
Then she told me that I need to switch my next appointment because I'll be one day too early for my GBS swab. I explained that my date is actually 2 days off (late) so I would be 36w but she did not care.
Even my H walked out asking me what the f just happened.

Rama, no your nurse was way worse. I feel bad even complaining. It was really just her attitude, she has the WORST bedside manner. And again, she was there for the first half of my labor with Em, and did not even remember me. Seriously do these people not look at charts??

Oof, I'm sorry that you're having rough experiences with your providers too, cornpop. I don't understand why people with such poor bedside manner or bad attitudes go into (and stay in) a field where that's super unehlpful. I don't really remember having Braxton Hicks with my first pregnancy, but I definitely think I'm having them this pregnancy. Either that, or my digestion is such a mess that it's irritating things. It just feels like occasional bad period cramps. It's not regular enough that I feel like I'd need to call or go in, but I'll probably mention it to my OB at my next appt.

katietopaz I'd probably mention it but as long as it's not too regular I'm sure it's fine. For me, BH are not painful really, just uncomfortable. Speaking of BH, I have them like all the time. If I have to pee, if I move a certain way, when I'm thirsty. I seriously should keep track because I have a ton.

katietopaz, are your cramps related to the baby moving? I get really bad period-like cramps when baby is kicking up a storm. I never had that with my first.

I do have some discomfort when the baby moves or twists a certain way, or a lot, but not what I'd describe as period-like cramps. The only thing I've noticed is that if I haven't been drinking a ton of water, I'm more likely to have them. That's one reason I suspect at least some BHs as opposed to just digestion issues.

I’m 30 weeks but my fundal measurement is 28 weeks. I’m trying not to sweat it because the Doc says she wouldn’t be concerned unless it’s 3 weeks off so I’m trying to be chill but I feel weird about it. I’m trying sorry to be chill. I’m sure everything is fine.
On the flip side I’ve already gained 20lbs so I’m big and the baby is small. Nice.

I have a follow up scan next week to see interval growth, but I’m still measuring 3 weeks behind and none of my midwives are concerned. I’m sure all is well with your LO but I understand the nerves.

I went to install the bucket seat base and it didn’t fit beside DS’s seat so I had to turn him forward facing. I don’t want to turn him and feel guilty but it’s done now. 😭

My BFF measured 2 weeks behind via fundal height through most of 3rd tri during her pregnancy with her DD. She also measured behind in all the ultrasounds. Her DD was born a week early and weighed almost 8lbs. Just know that fundal height measurements and ultrasounds are not 100% accurate. Try not to worry. Although, I know easier said than done! Also, I'm 32+ weeks and have gained 22lbs. Sounds like we're gaining about the same (and my OB said my weight looks great).

It took me an embarrassingly long time to get his heavy ass convertible seat installed so that’s a pro for getting it done ahead of time. Ha.

DH came home today and brought flowers. I got a pretty bouquet that had some roses and various other pretty flowers that I can’t identify. He also brought a yellow rose for DD. It was really sweet and DD loved her flower 🙂

Thanks guys. I’m just breathing into a paper bag because that’s how it started with my bff. baby was measuring just slightly small. 4 days later she had preeclampsia. Obviously this isn’t the norm but it is of course, the first thing I thought of. My doctor isn’t actually concerned (yet) so I’m trying to focus on that because I know my concept of it is really off. Does that make sense? I feel like I can’t even coherently say what I mean.

I hope it's just a strange pregnancy thing and you never, ever get pre-e.

ArielMermaid you make perfect sense. How are your friend and her baby doing? My friend is much better. Her memory is a lot better, not 100% but so much more normal. Baby has been doing really well. They had a scary couple of days recently with breathing but nothing that the people in the NICU thought was out of the ordinary, and she has been progressing since. They’ve still got a long road but I’m so glad baby girl is so strong.

ArielMermaid, I'm sorry that you are worried. It seems understandable since you did just see a similar bad scenario happen to your friend. The good news is that your dr isn't really concerned yet, and I'm sure they are going to keep an eye on it. It's ok...breathe Also, I'm glad that your friend and her little girl are doing well!

ArielMermaid im sorry your stressing. i know lots have said it but don’t stress too much over fundal heights. i measured fine last time and ended up with a 5 lb baby (probably not the anecdote you want) but she was totally healthy. i am measuring on track again and they are telling me this one is already 6.5 lbs😳 based on u/s. they also told me growth scans can be up to 20% off either way. if your gut is giving you pause you could always ask and the worst they can do is say no thanks for all the positive thoughts ladies. i had the mri this afternoon and at least it was at the children’s hospital here so i got to watch princess diaries while they did it. that was probably the most uncomfortable hour and a half of my pregnancy so far. now we wait for the follow up.

Oh gosh. I'm having some super weird pains down low. It came on acutely but now seems tied to baby movement - perhaps babe dropped?
But anyway, while cooking dinner with two tots running underfoot, I realized I'm 36 weeks without a hospital bag, clear childcare plan for #s 1+2, finished nursery, car seat ready to go, bills paid through the end of the month at least, or hospital paperwork filled out.
What is WRONG WITH ME.
So I'm finishing hospital paperwork. Health Care Proxy, etc.
EDIT: tomorrow I'll do all those other things.

My dd3 is rear facing 26 months old, but only weights 21lbs. I do not want to turn her, but I do not know how else to make it work. I'm waiting until the last minute...baby boy may end up going home in dd3s rfing seat bc I don't want to turn it...

No carseat installed (I did realize he can ride in dd3s seat if I adjust height so it's ok I guess...) and not a clue what I'm taking to the hospital.

Mh made a delicious dinner but I'm super nauseous so I wasn't able to really enjoy it.
Tmi but we had sex this afternoon and I was super crampy for a while after. I took a nap and woke up nauseous and feeling sick. I think I'll take half unisom and B6 when I go to bed to see if it will help with my nausea tomorrow.
