Well my pedi called and cancelled DD’s flu booster appointment bc apparently they ran out and can’t get any more. Guess that 100% confirms my decision not to worry about who got it this year 🤷🏼♀️
I need to start all the oil/tea stuff... when is the best time for that? Will it hurt to start at 32ish weeks?

I'm ordering DS's graduation announcements this weeekend. 😢 I'm not ready for this. As much as he makes me want to scream sometimes, I sure love him and I can't believe my sweet, little baby boy is all grown up and old enough to be graduating. Guys, when they say it goes by fast. It really, really does! How are things going with school for K? I’m assuming ok if you’re printing announcements but wanted to check in.

Leaf 🌱 - I think with evening primrose they say to wait until 36/37 weeks so the cervix isn’t softening too early. Not sure about the tea though.

I think reality has set it for him, because he's putting forth much more effort at school. He assured me he was going to graduate this May no matter what. Still having struggles in other areas, but seeing slight improvements. I'll take any positive steps forward, no matter how small.

My dark circles have dark circles. On the bright side I get to see my sister today. She is heading in from out of state to go dress shopping with us tomorrow. Today is also her birthday. I’m very excited to see her. And also my mom is making a big dinner and my body is ready. HBD to your sister! Also, all the commiseration on the lack of sleep. I'm getting really sick of waking up in the middle of the night only to stay up for a few hours and not being able to get back to sleep. Insomnia is not a good look on me. Yes!! I get up to pee every single night a 3 and it takes hours to get back to sleep. The. The toddler is up. 😰

Yaaaay, our federal tax return got deposited already! I got all excited about moving it all to savings to see that number go up, then remembered we're waiting on a $600 check to clear from repairs on DH's car. Boo adulting.
In happier news, I think that means we can go ahead and order a double stroller. I have it narrowed down to two...or three...pregnancy has made me even more indecisive.

sweetc129 How have you and your family been? I know you've probably had a lot of emotions to process recently. Continuing to think about you. ❤ Thank you for thinking of me <3. I'm ok. I haven't even realized how much of an emotional few months it's been and with as intense as last week was I am actually feeling a lot of emotional weight lifted from my shoulders. I'm sad for myself and I'm sad my kids will grow up w/o my mom, but I'm relieved she is no longer suffering. I am glad I was able to give her 100% of myself when she needed me the most and I'll be able to spend some time to grieve and then be there 100% for my son when he'll need it the most.

sweetc129 You've been on my mind a lot this week. I'm glad you're feeling some emotional relief, in the midst of your grief. Keep giving yourself grace and space to grieve however you need to. Sending so much love and light to you and your loved ones ❤️

I feel like baby has been moving a little less than usual the past few days. I remember something similar happened with DS1 but he always made his kick counts when I panicked - my OB had just told me at the time that the baby starts to get more cramped, so movement can be less dramatic.
That said, I'm still trying not to get panicky while I'm laying here doing kick counts. This isn't usually this baby's most active time of day, but I'm hoping the cold pop I just took a few sips of will do the trick.

Less dramatic kicking but still making kick counts. I definitely feel like he’s running out of room in there so that reasoning makes sense.

I've been nauseous pretty much all day again and the unisom and b6 isn't touching it. I really hope this isn't going to become a daily thing until she is born.

Body: WAKE UP! I’m so thirsty! *get up, pee, drink water* Body: thanks, now I reward you with acid reflux.
WTF. This isn’t fair.

I woke up before six today because my body just hates sleep now I guess. My toddler is still asleep so I feel extremely ripped off.

I just got our maternity pictures back. They're more lifestyle pictures than maternity but man, I love them so much. Excuse me while I AW.

cornpop those are so perfect! I love that they are not so staged! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a maternity shoot like that. I’m super into it.

cornpop, I love the pictures they turned out great! I usually don't really like maternity pictures cause I find a lot of them are really cheesy, but these are perfect.

So cute cornpop!! I’m hoping to do the outdoor version for ours. I’ll be happy if they’re half as good as that! Andddd Girl Scout cookies have finally arrived!!! The smore ones are like crack - not the sandwich smore kind, but the ones completely dipped in chocolate. I need to stock up. Also, DD handed over a ten dollar bill and thought she was getting the better end of the deal when they gave her two $1 bills 😂😂😂

We went to the toy store today so I was thinking about what DS should get the new baby as a gift and vice versa. When do you give these gifts? Should I take DS’s to the hospital so the baby can “give” it to him when they meet and have DS and DH being the gift with them to hospital for baby? That is if DS can come to the hospital. Our hospital has prohibited visitors under 12 because of the flu epidemic. Which I totally understand. I’m just curious how long it will last. I know April is still technically flu season.

Those are adorable pics!! I’m really hoping I don’t regret doing maternity photos, but I didn’t do them with any of my kids so...idk. I took the first of my licensure exams today. I will find out my score in a few days, in the meantime I wait, study and hope I can take the next one later this week. Eek! I feel such a time crunch given I am convinced this baby could show up any day. Stay put little guy, mama’s not ready!!

I’m thinking it’ll be over by April. I just read an article that the number of cases is starting to plateau and they usually begin dropping not too long after that. FX!!

smilesp I'm thinking of having the gift "from" the baby to my older kiddo at the hospital. In part because I think DS1 will have a hard time leaving without me, I'm hoping a new toy will be a good distraction. I'm curious to hear what other people are doing, though. I'm also stealing the idea that came up in another thread to have a little basket of Dollar Spot toys to give DS1 when I'm stuck under a nursing baby, and maybe I'll say those are from the baby, too. cornpop I LOVE your maternity pics!! The more candid/lifestyle sessions are my favorite, and your family is just beautiful!
