Today I am going to take some time to meal plan and prep for the month. This morning I'm browsing pinterest for recipes. My instant pot came in so I get to pick it up tomorrow! So that will help.
I'd like to make some bone broth sometime soon. I got a turkey from my boss for Christmas so I would like to cook that too and make freezer meals / prep baggies with it, then broth.

I went jeans shopping yesterday, and that was definitely a motivator for me for this challenge. Everything was definitely fitting snugger than I would like. I’m ready for this.

Today I’m cutting and roasting a lot of veggies and meal planning for the week. I am going to alter the W30 plan a little and allow myself to have fermented tofu (tempeh, miso) for some added protein, since legumes are out, and I don’t eat meat. I do eat eggs and limited amounts of fish though, so I will have a few options.

Prepping today after my ILs leave (Chinese food today!) I'm making W30 pasta sauce, meatballs, (I'll have over cauliflower rice), cooking chicken & cutting veggies to have w/ eggs for breakfast, and cooking some chicken for lunches. I took before pics, weighed myself & measured my waist & hip. My jeans are so fucking tight today. 😭

Ooh— good call in the measurements Ali7P. I’m going to do this too. I usually try to do thighs, arm, calf, etc but I never remember exactly where I measure so I just did those two. I feel like if I lose in those areas, I'm probably losing overall too.

I'm already frustrated. I bought canned diced tomatoes for my marinara sauce & didn't read the ingredients until just now. They have both sugar & soybean oil. Ugh. At least I didn't start cooking it, I guess.

For breakfast I'm having veggie/sweet potato/egg scrambles. Lunches will be salad w/ protein (tomorrow I have leftover shrimp cocktail) & sweet potato apple mash. Dinners will be meatballs or chicken & veggies. I'm trying to keep it simple for my 1st week back to work since 12/22 (I don't wanna go! 😩)

For breakfasts, smoothies/ smoothie bowls made with some combo of frozen banana, avocado, almond/cashew/sunbutter, spirulina powder, chia seeds, coconut flakes, cacao nibs

I’m here. I’m starting tomorrow (today? The 2nd) and already feel off my game as I sit up with a teething baby and I know I’ll be dying for some caffeine tomorrow. My H has agreed to participate at home which I think will help since I won’t feel tempted by his food. We emptied the house today of all the lingering Christmas snacks and I’ll be hitting up the grocery store first thing in the morning

I made a spaghetti squash in the IP this morning and will have some for lunch with homemade tomato sauce and compliant meatballs. I also brought a grapefruit since they are my obsession lately. We have chicken legs and thighs, and beef tenderloin in the fridge that I will cook up later tonight. I'll steam some broccoli too.
Full disclosure: I have done a strict W30 before, and I know that rice is not a trigger for me, so I will be eating it. I need to get back into working out and I just don't function on potatoes alone.

Last night I made a meal that had too many moving parts and in the end it kind of fell apart. I need to rein it in and stick to just 2 things on a plate, I think.
@darlene do you have a go-to recipe for compliant meatballs? There are a few on the site but wondering if you have a favorite.

There are a few on the site but wondering if you have a favorite. lol at "too many moving parts". for my meatballs I simply swap out almond meal for the bread crumbs. We usually have unsalted almonds in the house and I just run them in the food processor until they are finely ground. Use less, though. Around 1/3c. I also make sure to add plenty of garlic and fresh parsley, too.

I avoided this post the last week and ate like absolute shit. Have dealt with reflux/heartburn (?) due to terrible eating and my IBS flared. I weighed and was up 4 pounds. I hate that it’s so easy to slip back into unhealthy ways and that food can so easily screw up your whole body so quickly. However it does motivate me to jump in full force starting today...I ate bad-ish this morning, but I’m forgoving myself and moving on.
Anyway, glad so many of you are doing a form of this with me. I love the motivation you all provide and the ideas from what you eat.
