We were all a bit slow to get moving this morning but managed to get out the door on time. Only had to turn around once to grab little kid's snow pants. 😅
How're you all holding up?

My big kid has two half days and then Friday off. I feel like the week is over before it even started.

Our district does spring break the week after time change. If they do nothing else right, they nailed that at least.
I'm good. I prefer this time setting.

Big kid's teacher started a book club for him and two other kids and he's so excited about it.

DS has been begging to stay home, so we gave him a mental health day today. Perfect timing with DST. He slept until 7:20.

It’s spring break for us. Today’s a regular work day and then we leave tomorrow morning to go out of town. We’re just flying home to see friends and family, but I’m really excited, it feels like we haven’t traveled in a long time.

I think DST always hits me to worst. I feel like I have to drag myself out of bed. Meanwhile, the kids seem totally fine.
My new manager starts today after transferring from another local store. I really hope this goes well.

Next Monday might suck but this one is fine. Spring Break for the win! This is also my natural setting though. I adjust in the spring just fine. The fall change is much harder for me.

I forgot about springing forward so we were the family sneaking into mass late yesterday.
At least I didn't follow the school's newsletter which reminded us to turn our clocks back an hour.

I enjoyed the sunrise when taking the kids to school this morning, but that's the only nice thing I have to say. We had a really busy weekend, and I could have really used that hour we lost.*
*I enjoy DST fine; I just hate the adjustment period. I don't understand why we're still doing this in 2024.

We usually roll pretty easily with the time change, but I didn't like that it was dark when I took the dogs out this morning. I made an attempt to go to bed early last night but that's because I'm sick and haven't been sleeping well. I did get a little more sleep last night but I'm still dragging. I'm on day 11 of some kind of sickness and day 7 of a cough and I am over it.

We were pretty good today but went to bed right after the Oscar’s so basically 9:45 body time.
Im still getting used to working so that’s more the struggle 😂

I was legitimately caught off guard this time. Usually I see 892 fb posts leading up to DST but I did not see any this time so I was blindsided yesterday morning. And then I was all confused thinking my son was going to wake up at 5am and then I was like wait no, he has to wake up earlier than usual? It was a lot more confusion than I'm used to.

I prefer the fall change, it's more in tune with my body. But it wasn't too bad this time. Everyone was fine this morning.
H and I did have date day Saturday and ended up staying up pretty late. So that was poor timing for Sunday morning lol. Luckily the kids are pretty self sufficient at this point so we slept in later than them 🤣

We are going to lunch today before he has to start work again. I'm wearing a pair of jeans I couldn't button a month ago so I'm feeling pretty happy about that. Love NSV the most

We have DS1’s first volleyball game for the season. I’m meeting up with my cousins for dinner before hand and DS2 is so excited. He’s wearing his spirit sweatshirt and has been saying “go lions” all morning. He’s the sweetest little toddler fan.

I don't understand the confusion or difficulties of DST really. It's one hour and all the clocks change automatically.

My sister’s best friend is throwing her a final baby party as she is due next month with their 4th and final baby.
She often tries to show how much better of a friend she is than me as a sister so I’m letting her have this party. But she added me as a cohost to the invite where she asked everyone to bring a book that is signed and diapers so im the one hearing from the family about what she needs, why we are having a party for the 4th kid (all under 6, 3rd girl) etc. I don’t want to deal 😂
That being said i celebrate every baby and im the aunt who always brings gifts so are their new baby things she needs? I already have some outfits and a new diaper bag stuffed with diapers and wipes

After getting a solid 12 hours of sleep Saturday-Sunday I managed 3-4 hours last night, it’s hard to say if I am dragging from the time change or from that.
I was outside mowing and doing yard work until 7:30 last night, DST makes me happy.

We were rushed into DST yesterday with a 9 am/11 am double header for H and DD1’s select (kind of all stars for the off season) softball games. But I think it was a good thing. It forced everyone to get on track, so this morning wasn’t that bad. DD1 was the most cranky.
DS, who has a bad sounding cough and lots of mucus, should have been the crankiest. But he is fine. I kept him home from school and I’m trying to get him to rest. But of course, he never stops moving. Sigh.

Our spring break is the week after Easter which is apparently hella early this year.

My little guy was home with pneumonia last week and he is literally just pacing around the house all day while talking the entire time and I was like maybe his oxygen level would go up if he stopped talking for a minute??

Our spring break is the week after Easter which is apparently hella early this year. Ours is the week before! It's too early this year. Ours has always been the week after Easter but they decided moving forward they'll have it the last week of March no matter what. I have no issue with it not being around Easter, and can understand that calendar wise March makes sense - but I like April spring breaks so much better. We tend to do road trips or stay cations and the Midwest weather in March is just so dang unpredictable. The year we went to TN the first part of the week it was warmer in WI than it was in TN, but then days after we got home there was a snow storm.
