The two older kids had volleyball games this morning so we went to that. Then I told them I'd take out for lunch and told them they could pick anywhere. They picked McDonald's 🙄 at least it was cheap. Lol

Now they're outside playing with friends and I'm gonna relax inside. Might start my library book I haven't gotten a chance to pick up the last week

I’m at the dog park in the car, and there is a car with no handicapped sticker or placard parked in the handicapped loading space between the two handicapped spots, dog kennel in the back seat, door wide open, and car door open. No owners in sight. Literally blocking both of the handicapped spaces. Inconsiderate people are the worst. Like, how do people think it’s ok to do shit like that? That's horrible. I'd call the non emergency line and report them. I was considering it, but the guy left before I could. I get invisible disabilities, but not when you park in the space between the spaces, on top of the yellow lines.

I took my 13 year old shopping for spring break clothes and she got really tired of me asking why every shirt is cropped. But seriously, why? I did find a pair of jeans I actually like on myself that are not skinny jeans, so that was exciting.

DS1’s band did an egg your house fundraiser for elementary parents to order egg drops on Easter Saturday. I really didn’t think this would be successful but here we are over 100 houses later. We are now in possession of 1000 eggs to start (families purchased anywhere from 25-100 eggs a house) and so many fun fillers. They’re going to fill them all after they march in the st Patrick’s day parade on Sunday. They’re so excited and they earned quite a bit of money that we put towards some extras on their universal trip over spring break. Thank goodness I’m not a part of the delivery program! So cute! What did you get for egg fillers? I’m always looking for non-candy ideas. I went crazy in several places. We got spring erasers, some bunny and chick rings, some hopping frogs (you push and they jump), mini light up cars, those step on ballon things, beaded necklaces, stretchy rabbits, some bunny/egg/chick finger puppets and some other trinkets. We also did some candy. The target dollar spot, the dollar tree and oriental trading were my best friend.

The high school theatre department here does this and our neighborhood uses them for a neighborhood egg hunt at the park. We ordered 1200 eggs. I can’t wait to see it😅

H and I hit up Walmart today for Easter basket goodies. I don’t think I’ve ever been done so early. I really wanted a coke from McDonald’s but the machines were down so I just ate my fries. We laughed about how our day dates have changed over the years. But it was just nice to spend some time together.

I'm up working on laundry and DS just got up. I think we'll go get doughnuts soon. I need to go to HEB later and make some Amazon returns at Kohl's. I also told MH we have to make time to do our taxes so hopefully we can squeeze that in.

There's a place by us that makes Irish Potato ice cream so I'm taking ds and a friend for that this afternoon (it's sooooo good) and then we're having friends over for St Paddy's day dinner tonight.

Shoot, I guess I’ve gotta start thinking about Easter baskets. I had to go find chocolate coins at the last minute at Tractor Supply store of all places.

Are Irish Potatoes regional? It's candy not potatoes I know of them thanks to See's Candies, a California based company, but I've never actually tried one. I think they call them St. Patrick's potatoes though.

The doughnuts were so good. I cut the 3 that I picked out in half but I'm not sure they're going to make it til tomorrow morning 🤣

Softball tournament was cancelled for rain so we’ve got no plans for the first time since I don’t know when. The girls are making cat toys, I’m trying to finish my book club book, and MH is pacing around because he doesn’t know how to relax.

I’m looking for a good potato soup recipe now for my sister’s party Sunday Anyone have a favorite? My family doesn’t eat it so I’ve never made one This one is really good, and I’m pretty sure I got it from someone who posted it on this board a while back. I use precooked bacon and half and half instead of evaporated milk (only because I always have half and half). www.theslowroasteditalian.com/slow-cooker-potato-soup-recipe/Forgot to add- I halve the amount of onion. It was way too much with the full amount. This was a huge hit yesterday!! So good thank you
