What did you have for breakfast instead of your bar? I always have a shake and bar on my drive to work, so I still had a shake, then I ate crackers out of my desk second period and had my oats fourth period, which is when I always have second breakfast at work. Then I found a protein bar in my bag and ate that too, lol. I have acquired a new box of bars though, so back to my usual morning food routine tomorrow. Glad you had some back ups! I’d be so sad to not have the breakfast I’d planned on.

I “slept in” till 6:15 this morning and it was glorious. I did do a Costco run today, so I count that as my workout. 😂

Hello!
20 min full body with Matty, 20 min Pilates with Anna. 20ish minute walk in the afternoon. Been trying to get out more and move my legs for a bit in the PM, especially since its been so nice this week.
B - turkey bacon sandwich on a light English muffin L - chicken salad - using Realgood Foods lightly breaded chicken, strawberries, feta, and balsamic D - ANOTHER chicken salad, lol. We went out for wings for a friend's birthday. As I shared before, my weight loss has sucked lately, so I decided to forgo the wings since they aren't my favorite thing anyway and do something lighter, and it didn't kill me. It was your typical dive bar chicken salad - iceberg, probably too much mozzarella, some fries, and the chicken was good, though. I also had two Mich ultras. S - I think just a few pretzels and some cottage cheese

Hi! I’m around but on the struggle bus. I forgot how exhausting play weekend is and this time it seemed especially tiring. As such I got no formal exercise in on Sunday. Then my foster dog decided how he’s been sleeping for week 1 with us wasn’t working for him anymore. Which lead to me barely sleeping on the couch for two nights. Then I’ve had the craziest schedule this week. Like so many one off meetings. Anyways, no formal exercise Monday or Tuesday either. Lots of steps logged with the two pups. So I took 3 days off and it felt like 3 weeks. I am jumping out of my skin.
I got on the bike for a 30 min country ride with Hannah C today. Thank goodness!
Hoping to squeeze something in tomorrow but it depends on how the night with this foster goes. He slept through the night last night so fingers crossed.

Hopped on for Robin’s 45 min Day One ride. Loved her energy, but struggled lol.
Tomorrow will be a recovery / walk day as I am donating blood this afternoon.

OTF this morning. It was the 12 minute tread for distance benchmark. I was kind of dreading it, but the template was actually great, because it was a switch template which is my fave. Otherwise very short tread blocks besides the 12 min.
I didn’t have a previous record set for this one, so I had to arbitrarily make an educated guess. My goal was 1.2 miles, with a stretch goal of 1.4. I was able to make it 1.45! I think next time I could get to 1.5, so that will be my goal.

I ran 4 miles yesterday (bit faster than easy pace; I ignored my watch's intervals suggestion) and 42 mins @ base pace today cause that's what my watch told me to do. I also did 5 mins of mobility exercises this morning.

30 minute intervals and arms for me this morning– Tunde's from February 28th. She never disappoints!
I see she's going to have a 60 minute PZ on Sunday. I'm excited for it!

Evening.
DD2 was up at 3am in our bed and was up until about 5am when she fell back asleep finally. That means I was up. Had she fallen asleep in time I would have gotten up since I was wide awake at 4am, but alas, she refused to let me leave the bed. So obviously I accidentally slept until 6am and only had 40 minutes to get out of the house on time.
I squeezed in a short workout tonight. Not much, but something. I did a 20 minute pop ride with Hannah and a 5 minute core and stretch.
That ride killed me, but not because it was hard. Because whoever edits the audio after classes are recorded fucked it up. I've never really thought about it, but after this ride, it's apparent they edit out the studio music then overlay the tracks afterwards in post production, which makes complete sense. But whoever's job is was to edit out the studio music seems to have forgotten, because my gosh. The studio music was echoing behind the overlayed music and it was about 3-4 seconds behind. It was ridiculously distracting.
Anywho. I've got a 30 minute yoga on deck for tonight. Tomorrow DS has an OT eval in the morning, so I'll wait and run afterwards once he's back at daycare.

cnf was it Hannah F? I love her and refuse to consider that she’s anything but sweet as pie but I am convinced someone at Peloton doesn’t like her. There always seem to be issues with her classes. The ranges on cadence and resistance for her classes seem to be more frequently off than any other instructor I ride with.

I know I said March was a new month, but I wasn't trying to say it was a new month to have sick kids. They are both doing better now, but I was exhausted at night and went to bed when they did most of the week. I did get up this morning though and have tomorrow's workout stacked.
20 minute lower body with Matty 10 minute lower body with Ben

I managed a 40-ish min run between work and DS1’s hockey game tonight. It was set up like a ladder, and meant to be run at mile pace or faster for each step. Omg, what a slog. That did not feel good.
BUT I did notice that the tread speed I was using for each step used to be close to full sprint/zone 5 for me, and now it’s more like tempo/zone 3-4. So even though it felt like trash, it was nice to see those improvements.

If it was any longer I would have. It took my like the whole warm up to figure out what was happening and by then I was like 4 or 5 minutes in, so I stuck it out. But yeah, 20 minutes of that was definitely as much as I could take.

20 minute glutes and legs with Rad, it was a beginner class and had some body weight stuff that I added weights to (RDL instead of good mornings), but I have met my strength and yoga goals for the week! Planning to walk later, hoping the trails are dry enough for me to get out to the ocean.

20 minute tabata with Hannah F. (No tech glitches if you’re looking for a Hannah ride!) And then standing core with RK.

DS was starting to get snotty yesterday, and Lo and behold, I woke up with a slight sore throat today. I went to OTF this morning, but took it very easy on the cardio, and kind of easy on strength. I have a class planned tomorrow, but I think I’m going to cancel it so I can sleep before softball starts for the day. We have two days of softball this weekend, and therefore two days of chasing a toddler around the ball field, so I think I will resume OTF on Monday.

Afternoon.
Looks like DS won't need OT services, so that's nice. Waiting to hear about the full meeting so he can start speech.
I just finished up Susie's 75 minute 80s run. I've done it before, but I was happy to get in a long run. Picked up 7.6 miles, so not fast, but I walked all the recoveries, so not surprising. Finished up with a 5 minute core and a 10 minute stretch. Yoga tonight and maybe foam rolling. We'll see.
Food should be fine. My weight had a big drop today, which was a really nice surprise too.

Turns out MH’s head cold didn’t settle in his chest, it was a whole new URI which he has now passed onto me. 😑 my face feels like it’s falling off and I don’t wanna. Catch you on the flip side.

I’m beat. This was the longest week ever at work and I think I forgot to check in all week. Basically, I did a bunch of running and finished Beginner Strength. Today I only worked a half day so I squeezed in my long run so I wouldn’t have to worry about it over the weekend while my girls have a cheer competition.
I did 10 miles today and it was a slog. It was cold and windy and CD1 so I wasn’t my best self. I went about 30 seconds/mile slower than my normal easy pace but I was able to keep the run in zone 2 for everything except the 2 monster hills and the last 2 miles when I was so ready to be done and just booked it towards home 🤣 That was the longest I have ever run! Bonus points for an automatic 10 mile PR in Strava lol.

It was gorgeous out today so I opted for an outdoor run after work. I ran over to our local park and it seemed like our whole neighborhood was there. I was not trying to see that many people while I was huffing and puffing. lol
I did:
30 min walk + run with Marcel 10 min cool down walk with Joslyn 10 min core with Emma
The Marcel class was kind of programmed oddly. Usually the walks + runs are 1:1 or close to it, but she had a long walk break in between intervals 3 and 4. Which I was ok with today but felt a little off.
My cousin confirmed he’s in for a mid April 10k we discussed after the holidays so now I need to get my ass in gear. I could do a reasonable 5k right now but 10 would be a stretch.
