We need a new thread! How did February go? What are your goals for March?

Friday is my rest day. Tomorrow morning’s live ride with Wilpers is a PZE, and I’m really excited for some long zone 3 intervals.
Surgery scheduled for March 12th. I don’t know how much it will affect my mobility, so my goal is just to do what I can.

It’s been forever since I’ve been in one of these but I need to stick to posting.
February I increased my step totals so I was happy with that. Food was awful.
In March I’m really hoping to find a home work out that works for me, actually eat consistently (there’s been way too many days of only eating breakfast a snack and dinner) and be conscious of how much sleep I’m getting.

Feb was pretty good for me! I wanted more consistency and to follow my run plan and I did, so that was good. I hit 101km for the month (65 miles) which is the most ever in my life. This month I want to continue following my run plan and stretching the long runs longer, and to not die at my half on the 24th.

I'm happy with how February went. For March, my goals are 3x runs/week, and 60 minutes of yoga/pilates, and 60 minutes of strength work each week I will continue to walk too.
For today, I did 20 minutes of strength, 20 minutes of yoga, and about a 45 minute walk.

Pretty good February here! I ran 90km despite going to the states twice.
In March I have a pretty active month planned: - 10km race next weekend - annual walk (run) against cancer aka a competitive 10 day event where our family tries to do as many km as possible. Last year I did 100km in 10 days. I’m already exhausted.

Hit a deload run week hooray! 20 min zone 2 followed by 3x 20 sec striders.
Feb was pretty good. I was fairly consistent with workouts, missing one or two but not letting it derail me even despite mild illness.
Water and sleep are still my areas to improve. MH still hacking stuff up isn’t helping my sleep. 😴 it might be time for me to give in (lol) and get a dedicated water bottle/thermos/stanley whatever. I was thinking I’d just use my yeti tumblers but I frequently leave one in my car and use the other for iced coffee.

Hi. My March goal is, as usual, to KOKO. I went to OTF at 5 this morning and it was a good workout. Endurance on the treadmill isn’t my favorite, but I did it.

February was good for me. Even after saying fuck it to basically this whole week in terms of usual workouts, I still did well.
I ran 88.5 miles, cycled 90.6 miles, stuck to strength, yoga, and core. I haven't missed a day of core yet since the new year.
For March, it's lose some weight, still hit 83 miles minimum running and cycling, keep up with yoga, strength, and continue daily core. I need to do better with water. I was real hit or miss this month and I can feel it.
Today I did a 30 minute full body strength at school in the weight room. I'm about to do a 10 minute core focus flow and a 20 minute hip focus flow. That's it today. No cardio is so weird for me.

I had a great February! My goal was to run 65 miles and I ended the month with 95. I am 2 days away from finishing the Beginner Strength program and finished a second round of Crush Your Core. I also kept up with the Tunde Arm Challenge and Hannah Barre Challenge. I ended February with 2K Peloton minutes which I’m proud of because I don’t track my runs on there at all so, with the exception of one hotel run, that is all strength and yoga/stretching.
My main goal for March is to keep up with my half marathon plan. That would put me around 120 miles. I’m trying to decide on a plan for when I finish the Beginner Strength program. I wish Matty’s beginner split wasn’t 5 days. That’s too much for me to commit to with my main focus being running. But I’m looking at Callie or JJ’s 3 day split. I also want to do another core program. So either CYC2 or Straight to the Core. Anyone have opinions on those? Or the splits I’m looking at?
As for today, I did a 5 mile easy run and W6D1 of Beginner Strength. I’m heading to a gymnastics meet with my girls right now so tomorrow will be a complete rest day and I’m looking forward to that! Sunday will be long run day. Next week is crazy again and I’m trying to not think too much about that 🤣

Happy March! Popping back in now that we've started a new thread, I was sick (again) for the second half of February so I read as much as I could but didn't post.
Fortunately, this week I've been feeling pretty good and have been motivated to move. I rode my bike, walked twice, and ran/walked one day. I'm really hoping March is healthier and allows me to make some steady progress on my goals. Girls on the Run starts March 11 and I want to be able to keep up and participate fully with the girls. Also, with spring coming, I REALLY just want to feel good in my clothes, and I know I will if I can get back to some more regular movement.

18km run in the rain this morning. It was pretty though - the trees are starting to have buds and it finally feels like spring is around the corner!

That 45 minute PZE this morning was great! Rode high in my zones and pushed it a little over in the final interval and got a new PR! Finally broke 400 in a 45 minute ride (403!) It’s amazing how those steady pace rides are ultimately what gets the PR, even though the more intense intervals feel so much harder. (I mean, I understand why. It just always feels wild.)
Then did 10 minutes light arms and a 5 minute core. Happy weekend!

Morning.
I did 8 week measurements this morning. I'm down 4.5lbs since January but only 1.5lbs since last March. My measurements are down from January too, but they're all either equal to, or just over from last March, so I have some work to do.
45 minute interval run with Logan 10 minute core benchmark with Emma 5 minute stretch with Camila
Yoga tonight.
I made huge progress on the benchmark class. Like crazy jumps in progress. Apparently 61 straight days of core paid off. Who'd thunk. Definitely going to keep doing daily core. Still shooting for 366 days.
Food should be fine today. We need to grocery shop.

February went. Faster than January at least. lol.
I did pretty well but the last two weeks have been a bit inconsistent. I did finish the stronger you 2 program and kept on with getting back into running. For the most part it’s starting to feel more comfortable.
March is going to be another busy month for us but I should have more time on the weekends after this weekend as DS’s musical is over so all my volunteer painting ends.
Goals: Strength 3x per week Core 5x per week Cardio 5x per week (continue progressing in running) Sleep, water, stretch
I also really need a massage so I will be booking one soon.

Yesterday I kicked off the month with:
10 min warm up walk with Hosky 30 min interval run with Jess Sims 5 min post run stretch with Andy
I was slogging through the run and had to take the jog recoveries as walks. I blame PMS and lack of sleep. But it was better than nothing. Not all runs will feel great.

MH and I agreed he should be in the guest room again and I slept SO. GOOD. I feel a little sad about sleeping apart but also I love sleep.
Lazy morning today and then to the gym. Chuckled when I saw the (late 50’s I’m assuming) gym bro with Nickleback album cover on his music screen. Not judging. Much.
Anyway upper body today, matched my max upper press of 50 lbs so I might try my working sets with the barbell next week!! Pull ups and such also feeling hard but good.

He is a very early to bed/super loud snorer and I am a night owl/very light sleeper/insomniac, and we both get better rest and are happier people when we sleep in our own spaces. I do sometimes feel weird about it, but overall we both prefer it.

We're both very light, restless sleepers and tend to wake each other up throughout the night.

Rest day yesterday, and it was a chores day at home because softball was all cancelled due to rain. I did manage to do some reading.
Today I went to a Strength 50 class. It was all 3.5 minute blocks of repeated sets of one exercise at a time. It was different but a really good burnout!

I truly love sleeping alone though, I toss and turn a lot and it's nice to do it freely.

February was okay- I finished with over 100 miles of running, did that half in SC (and already regretting the pinky promise I made to my kid to never do another), and have been eating mostly fine. I did not do as much strength training or yoga/mobility work as I had hoped, but I'm slowly working on adding small things to my daily habits. I listened to atomic habits back in January and added reading 5 mins a day and writing a short note in my journal to my night routine and it's working really well.
Yesterday the kid did a mile w/ me after dinner, she did good at staying nearby (instead of sprinting and then needing to sit haha). I think she likes having that one-on-one time to talk and stuff. Also, we saw two cats so that didn't hurt Today I got 3.5 miles in earlyish, then hit the gym w/ mh for strength training. He plays racquetball and had said he wanted to try to play with me, so when a court opened up we went in to mess around for a bit. I have never been good at tracking small moving objects (like in racquetball or tennis), but I actually did better than expected. Now I've got some pho broth simmering now (using Cassie Yeung's easy version from ig), very excited about dinner! Going to prep a few other things (egg bites, bulgogi bowls using Cassie's recipe, and roast some broccoli for snacking) in a bit.

Ugh. It would be really great if it could not be windy on every single long run day. My 9 mile run turned into 8 miles and a one mile walk. Running uphill into the wind felt like running into a brick wall. Luckily it was an out and back, so the wind was at my back for the second half of the run, but by then my energy was zapped. I also found out that clif bloks will not be my go-to fuel lol. Better today than race day. Some days are just shitty. We’ll just call today resistance training. At least I got to run past my good friend, L’il Sebastian. No idea what his real name is, but I think that’s what it should be. Pic spoilered in case it’s huge.

Started feeling headachy last night and woke up with it still this morning. Along with cramps. Blech. But my headache was bad enough to keep me in bed til noon.
The weather is SO nice today (windy of course) so I sat outside for a bit. My speed run was not happening so I did some yoga and then we took a stroll around the neighborhood.

I wouldn't want us to do it indefinitely, but I never mind when he chooses to sleep downstairs. I love to sprawl in the middle of our king bed.

40 min of mile repeats for me this morning. My DD had a cheer comp all weekend so I didn’t get a long run in but I’ll get it done tomorrow or Tuesday.
My DD turns 13 tomorrow!! Where has the time gone 😱

February wasn't terrible but it could have gone better. I ran 45.18 miles which is low for me.
For March my goals are run 60 miles run more / walk less and increase mileage (see above) schedule a race for the month meal prep get my shit together
I did a marcel walk+run yesterday and they were long intervals. I was running at a 11.30 pace to push myself, and every time an interval started, i had to run uphill. it sucked. and was the best run ever. so needed. tonight is run club and the ladies and I are planning intervals, I'm in charge of them so I think we are going to do 1:30 on / 1:15 off. And we are shooting for 4 miles.
