Morning.
20 minute hip hop run with Adrian 30 minute endurance run with Becs 5 minute core with Callie 5 minute stretch with Camila
Yoga tonight. I skipped it last night because I haven't missed a day in over two weeks now and decided I wanted the extra time to read instead. Back at it tonight though.
Food should be on point.

My February was terrible. Work was busy so I was working 50-60 hours a week and there has been someone sick in this house since Jan 25. DS had such a rough month. His one tube fell out of his ear in the last 2 months sometime, so of course, his ear drum ruptured last weekend and then got such bad hand, foot and mouth it looks like his hands were burnt in a fire. He will be home with me all week and is miserable and clingy, which makes things hard.
I am really hoping for a better March.

Carmichael hope he feels better soon Today I started Callie’s intermediate 3 day split, kind of on a whim. I wanted a beginner one but didn’t want 5 days. We’ll see how it goes.

This morning’s workout was 😮💨😮💨😮💨 Still with the pause squats, regular row and heavy RDL’s. Lifted close to max today which for me confirms that the running is impacting my lower lifts (since I’m on a deload run week and skipped yesterdays run altogether).

February was about the same as January. Dog walks, stretches, sleep meditations. Lots of sickness in our house.
I have finals this week and spring break next week, so I need to ease back into some weight training. Two B-term classes after that, so we'll see if it sticks. But I really need more movement for my mental health. I just can't sacrifice sleep to make it happen.
I am looking forward to warmer mornings and walking DS to school again. It's a 10 minute uphill walk to the school, so it's really not doable for him in cold weather.

Good morning! I don't think I've checked in in months. I've been following along and making sure to like everyone else's posts though!
In terms of workouts, I'm doing great. Still going to CF 3-5 times a week and aiming to hit 20 miles running a week. Meanwhile, I'm watching my weight crawl up. I know it's my diet, I eat too much and I need to get a handle on things. I'm now 15 lbs heavier than I was at this time last year. So, changes it is. I enrolled in an 8 week course to help me get my head on straight around nutrition and macros.
These last few weeks have been rough - my eating has been okay, but my alcohol intake is way too much and too often. I realize I'm using it as a coping mechanism, so I need to figure out how to cope in healthier ways. It's finally warming up around here (MI) so I'm hoping being outside more will help my mental health.

Hi. I went to 5 am OTF. It was a run/row but definitely endurance focused. I haven’t seen distances that long for the run/rows maybe ever. It started with a 0.8 run for distance, then 0.6 and down from there. I think they are gearing up for the 12 minute run for distance on Thursday.
The floor wasn’t my favorite. It was a bosu day, and I couldn’t do the lunges with any weight (and could barely do them with body weight) because it’s one of the moves that is limited by my residual SPD from pregnancy. but I did what I could!

Solid weekend - 2.5 mile run (DD is running with us and totally keeping up, I think I have to invite her to join my friends in our annual 5k if it doesn't conflict with her soccer this fall!) on Saturday, and hour or so "hike" on Sunday (our normal trails are muddy, so we were on much flatter terrain). Today, I did a 20 minute full body strength with RK, and a walk is on my agenda before I have to go pick up the kids.

I did my first 10K (actual race) since covid yesterday! I was one minute off my PR, but on a hilly course. 300+ feet of elevation gain vs. 30 when I did my PR. I’m feeling good but sore today! I think i really left it all out there. My goal is to break some PRs at some point… which means I need to figure out some new races since I’m not signed up for anymore yet this year!
Otherwise in March my goal is just to KOKO. Feeling good about diet, exercise, overall fitness. I will be adding more strength now that this race is done, but that’s my only change I think.

I finally joined the Peloton app and finally did a rowing workout. Thanks for the nudge, sterling! I also found out that my iPad is too old to be able to use the Peloton App (WTF!!) so I need to find a workaround that isn't me just squinting at my phone for workouts.

February was what it was.
Meet round one was Friday to kick off March. Did ok on squats, got a PR on bench. Going into deadlifts I thought the lady in my weightclass was my main competition, but it turns out two of my teammates were right behind me. Going into our last lifts, I was in 1st, L was in 2nd, A was in 3rd. A pulled first, hers was to move from 3rd to 1st. She got it, moved me to second, L to third. L was next- hers was to move from 3rd to 1st. She got it, moved me to 3rd, A to second. I pulled next - enough to move from 3rd to first. Got it pretty easily. The lady in my class had turned in a lift to move into first if we all missed (which clearly didn't happen) and she ended up in 4th. So 1st place in the Masters (40+) division.
Yesterday I lifted again, but didn't use my equipment and did some light numbers to basically show up, give those putting out max effort an extra couple minutes of recovery. We had some people no show, and some people not get in lifts so I ended up taking 5th in the Open division.
So after some talks with teammates & coaches, I have some good motivation and plans going forward. I should have been a lot more ahead of my teammates if my weight was where it was a year ago. I would have had 1st locked up without my last deadlift if I was at that weight. So finally some decent motivation to get my diet in check to get back down where I was and get back into gear that fits better.

February was hit or miss. Weekends have been busy, and I haven't made time to workout. I also prioritized sleep some mornings instead of getting up. March is a new month. I did get up this morning, so there's that. I also went to bed early, probably a correlation there.

February is in the past😂😂
Now I’m going to have to figure out my days and exercise so March is going to force me to focus on food and meal prepping again then I’ll figure out how to move.

Evening all.
Ugh, I'm not real impressed with myself at all these days. I gained around 5 lbs from the holidays and just doing whatever for the last 2-3 weeks of December. And I have not lost one bit of it in two months. I always make the mistake of thinking that as soon as I start eating "normally" again that the weight will eventually melt off, slowly. Well, it fucking doesn't. I know the problem is needing to eat better on the weekends, but its like as soon as Friday hits, I just want to relax and have a break from the all the thinking and tracking, etc. I really don't think I'm eating THAT badly on weekends at all, just a little more lax, but apparently I need to be stricter if I want to see weight loss and that just doesn't sound fun at all. But I'm not happy, either, so I need to suck it up.
Today was 20 min G/L with Jess Sims, 10 min G/L with Tunde - hated both, one included an AMRAP and the other an EMOM. I think that while I'm overall stronger from doing RK's split for 8 weeks and then density training, my cardio fitness is now lacking because I felt like these workouts moved so fast and had so little rest compared to these other ones. Also did a 10 min core with Hannah C.

Last few days have been okay. Saturday/Sunday were a wash steps wise but yesterday I was back on track.
I’m eating more but need to still find a balance. Does anyone else find that the more they eat they actually end up hungrier?
I still need to find a workout space in the house that doesn’t require me to rearrange stuff every time I want to use it.

It sucks. Maybe it's just getting older but I feel like I don't bounce back as well any more from a few weeks of not great eating.
I don't WANT to have to worry about what I'm eating on the weekends. Life is hard enough lol. I am aware of how whiny I sound and I know I need to get my shit together.
I feel you about wanting to get out of the house. I am pretty good about cooking during the week, but by Friday I'm like where are we going to eat?! I've been trapped here all week.

February went well. I successfully added strength training back into my schedule a couple of times a week, even if it was only short classes. I ran 110 miles.
I kicked March off with my longest run to date, 16 miles on Sunday after spending Friday-Saturday at a high school MTB meet out of town. I've got another 16 miles this Saturday before I get on a plane Sunday to go to a work conference for four days. Busy, busy, busy.

Last night I ran intervals with the run group. A ran about the first mile with us. Brodie came as well, he really likes the run parts! I hope he continues to turn into a great running buddy for me. I need to fit in 15 mins of strength today, it might be all i get in.
Food: B: eggs with cheese L: cobb salad with grilled chicken S: broccoli and snap peas with ranch D: chicken nuggets, green beans and strawberries
A has a game at 5:45 at one field and C has practice at 5:45 at a different park entirely! H is OOT so i am running between parks tonight. well not running, driving.

Last night was my long run on the tread. I managed 2h10min for 19km, which is about 12 miles. My legs are sore today so I see some stretching on deck for tonight.

30 minute intervals and arms with Sam Yo. I feel like his rides are always sneakily challenging, and I appreciated his zen approach today.
I’m feeling nervous about my surgery next week. I don’t really know what to expect. Does anyone have experience with Tenex?
