Afternoon.
DS had a speech eval this morning and I didn't know how long it would take, so I took the whole day off. Sent him back to daycare afterwards and I came home and did a longer workout. I slept this morning knowing this would ultimately be how things worked out. He has OT eval Friday, so I'll likely do the same.
30 minute interval run with Olivia 20 minute EDM run with Camila 20 minute Fatboy Slim full body strength with JJ 5 minute core with Robin 5 minute stretch with Camila
Yoga tonight.

3.5km run home while catching up with a friend so it was really nice and went by too quickly.

Got up today for a 30 min low impact ride.
Back to back office days, plus a sleepover Thursday because coworker is OOT. Next few days are going to be rough. And I started the split before my blood donation appointment Thursday, probably not the best idea either.

30 min zone 2 treadmill run today.
It’s about time to switch to triathlon training which I’m both looking forward to and also not. lol. Last year I basically quit lifting entirely, this year I have a plan in place (the lifting program I use has a track for race prep) but it still cuts back on the weights. I was also hoping to get a new road bike this year but 1. I don’t use it really all that much and 2. We are really not in that great of a financial place to do that at the moment.

Was able to jump on a live HIIT run with Kirsten and got my birthday shoutout during the post-run stretch, yay! I never run with her but it was a really good class! The amount of hair she has, and it's down, and it's a HIIT run -- it gives me agita. But like, she's gorgeous.
Followed that with a 30 minute endurance run with Hannah F to round out miles for the day.

Jess Sims is notorious for having her loose too with her long, thick braids and I'm very HOW about it every time.

I wasn't able to fit anything in yesterday. i mean i could of at 8 pm but man i was exhausted. We have another game tonight so I maybe able to fit in a 20 min walk, i really need to fit in my strength.
Food: B: eggs with cheese and baked beans (leftovers that need to be eaten) S: orange juice with protein powder L: LLM chicken w/ red sauce bake thingy and green beans D: smoked sausage, tater tots and blueberries

It’s unexpectedly SO nice out today!!
MH slept in the guest room again last night but I stayed up too late reading. 😬 but even then once I fell asleep I didn’t wake up until morning. My resting HR is also about 4 bpm lower without him in bed.
Anyway deadlifts/bench today. Everything was good, legs good due to low running and bench still progressing this block. I hit 4 reps on my max bench weight this week (attempted last week but only got 3).

beerlover I am right there with you. I'm struggling with losing weight and with the balance between weekdays/weekends. I am also wondering if age is starting to impact me more because the level of effort I'm expending right now would have lead to slow but steady loss 5 years ago. I'm trying really hard to just make good choices and embrace my body but fuck it's hard.

Then an outdoor field trip with 4th grade, in the rain. Will take a short walk after school if the rain lets up!

I always have a shake and bar on my drive to work, so I still had a shake, then I ate crackers out of my desk second period and had my oats fourth period, which is when I always have second breakfast at work. Then I found a protein bar in my bag and ate that too, lol. I have acquired a new box of bars though, so back to my usual morning food routine tomorrow.

I got my arse out of bed this morning to run. I have not been particularly moativated to do a lot of speed work since my race (lol, it’s been three days) and was particularly unmotivated at 5:40AM. I took long recoveries and didn’t care. I might try to get some strength stuff in tonight because my youngest had practice canceled again and nothing is on my calendar now, so it’d be good to pick up a damn weight for the first time in a long time.
