February flew and it wasn't a good reading month. Hope it's better for March! I'm actually doing a library run here soon so we will see what I find. I might get one from my list and then switch it up and pick random ones. I haven't had much luck lately with TBR list!

February was a pretty good month. I enjoyed the ACOTAR series quite a bit last month, obviously, haha.

I finished six books in February, plus the whole Ree.saTee.sa saga on TikTok. I logged it in StoryGraph idc lol. Now I'm at 13 total for the year so far. I had read nine books by this time last year, so I'm happy with my progress.
Bringing Down the Duke by Evie Dunmore Ordinary Notes by Christina Sharpe (Diverse Baseline Challenge prompt: Black author) The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store by James McBride (DBC prompt: Historical fiction) A Sky Beyond the Storm by Sabaa Tahir Starling House by Alix E. Harrow A Love Song for Ricki Wilde by Tia Williams (DBC prompt: Found family)
Run to get a copy of Ricki Wilde if you haven't yet. It was so, so, so good. It's only March 1 and it might be my favorite book of the whole year. I honestly wish I could read it for the first time all over again. Seven Days in June was one of my faves last year, but my gosh y'all Tia Williams outdid herself.
Right now I'm reading Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert. Next, there's a new Kennedy Ryan book coming out on Tuesday; it's the follow up to Before I Let Go, which I'm very excited about. Idk what else I'm going to read this month. But my 7yo and I are also going to finish the graphic novel we're reading together soon. Stuntboy, in the Meantime by Jason Reynolds.

I read 7 books in February. My favorites were 1) an unplanned "skip the line" book from Libby called Did You Hear about Kitty Karr? by Crystal Smith Paul. 2) Between Sahdes of gray by Ruth Sepetys for my book club. It is based in the Baltic during the Soviet revolution. I read both of those in 2 evenings each; I didn't want to put either down.

February wasn't too bad for me - I finished 6 books and then went into a little bit of a slump where I couldn't stick with anything.
The Last Devil to Die - Richard Osman - 5 stars. I really love this series Almost Surely Dead - Amina Akhtar - 4 stars. Amazon First Read and Mindy Kahling pick. It was pretty fast pace and had short chapters. It kept me going until the end. Vicious Lost Boys 1-3 (The Never King, The Dark One, Their Vicious Darling). This is a quick and spicy Peter Pan retelling series. They have been easy to digest and the world building and storyline (outside the smut) isn't bad. I have the 4th book, but it has kind of fizzled out for me A Good Girl's Guide to Murder - Holly Jackson - 5 stars. I listened to this on audiobook and loved it
Currently reading: The Heiress

I started Meet Me in the Middle yesterday & finished it today after assuming it would be a DNF. It felt very Hating Game-y, but instead of bickering assistants to CEOs, they were bickering assistants to senators on opposing sides.

February was an interesting reading month - either I adored the book or basically hated it, kind of reading whiplash. I read:
The Book of Accidents by Chuck Wendig - 5 * Boyfriends Vol 1 by refrainbown - 2 * (graphic novel - rounded up from 1.5 due to cute illustrations). Where the Dead Wait by Ally Wilkes - 1 * The September House - 5 * That Time I got Drunk and Saved a Demon by Kimberly Lemming - 5 *.
Some book releases I'm looking forward to (Even though, who knows when I'll actually get around to reading them): Forgotten Sisters - Cynthia Pelayo Sleeping Giants - Rene Denfeld (her book The Enchanted is one of my all time favourites) Parasol Against the Axe - Helen Oyoyemi (her books are hit or miss for me, but when I like them i love them)

These are my February reads. I am pretty proud of myself. I usually donβt read this much in a month I donβt if house of earth and blood REALLY counts for February since I finished it on the first. I had started it in January. I am currently reading Rhapsodic. So far I am enjoying it. I think I am going to read the next inheritance game book. Then maybe Empire of the Vampires or start the Percy Jackson books. I havenβt decided yet.

February was pretty good! I really liked Belladonna, even though I am not normally very into the supernatural stuff. And the second Will Trent book was good. I am almost done with Blindsided, the first Grant County book. And I just started Dark Matter on Kindle.

I finished Blindsighted, and it was very good. 5 stars. I requested the subsequent one from the library.
Dark Matter is also very good, and Iβm flying through it. I canβt wait to see what the series is like when it comes out. I am getting a Severance type vibe, with more action.
