I think the Stanley hate is particularly rich coming from women my age whose parents would have gladly trampled on other parents to get their daughter a cabbage patch doll. My parents borrowed money from a neighbors brother to get mine. There is always going to be something that comes next, silly as it may be. If it sparks joy, it sparks joy.

I find the cup thing so funny. I wonder what brand the next ONE will be. I’ve heard it’s the Owala ones. Which I have 💁🏻♀️ (it was a gift, I usually just swipe one of the L&D water pitchers at work because omg the ice machine and water from there just hits the spot 😂 but I think my friend felt bad for me 🤣

I see you’ve never met a 13 year old girl. Although I don’t see nearly the amount of Stanley cups at school now that I saw in September. Maybe they are all in lost and found, lol. I mean I have 0 doubt the youths do it but my response was to an adult and peer 🤣. Who I love btw. Listen, I’ve got half a dozen water holders, so if one of them happens to match my outfit that’s probably the one I’m choosing. Romanticize the small things my wormy friend 😘.

Both of my kids got Owalas for Christmas. The love is strong for both.

I like the Owala bottles a lot.
Though I can feel like a creeper as I slowly sip while looking around.

We are a stanley house. My favorite thing about them is that instead of having 100 identical drinking glasses all over the house that my kids say "that isn't mine!", they each drink out of their own cup. My dishes have significantly been reduced. Obviously the excessive drinking glass issue could've been solved in other ways, but I didn't really even recognize the problem until the intro of Stanley's has fixed it. My little girls have the 30oz and it isn't too heavy for them for school and the house. I drink about 4 to 5 40ozers a day so while some people think they are too big and heavy, I'd be filling up a smaller cup all day long without mine. I truly don't get the hate. $40 for something that I use all day every day seems more than reasonable.

To the Stanley fans, MH got me my first one for Christmas, and it almost immediately developed a peeling spot in the coating. (It is a metallic rose-gold one.) Does anyone know if it is worth it to go through the warranty process? I think he got it from Amazon.

I'm a Corkcicle girl. I don't like a handle but that's just personal preference. Honestly, off the top of my head we have 6 of their tumblers between me and H for hot beverages (might be more). I have 3 water bottles.
For me, the Stanley craze is more about conspicuous consumption. I've been trying really hard to change my mindset from "I want that" to "do I need that?"

I unabashedly love my Stanleys. My sister happened to walk into Dick’s sporting goods on a day they released pink ones and she got one for me for Christmas. I have 3 in rotation.
Also my sister and I buy each other the most ridiculous accessories for our Stanleys. I got her a snack tray that fits over the top and rests on the handle.

I just don't understand carrying it everywhere. When I'm out and about I want something I can toss in my bag that won't leak. I'm a hands free girl.

I never see anyone walking around with their water cups, of any brand. Maybe that’s the suburbs. They stay in cars.

My favorite coffee tumbler is also Stanley. That shit stays hot for 24 hours.
It also doesn’t leak.
It does rattle in the cup holder though.
Life can’t be perfect.

I was fine with my big tervis tumblers and the owala one H bought me for my birthday. But I can’t even use them during the week because a little guy from my class is OBSESSED with straws. So I had to get something with a screw top.
My UO is that I wish DD1 would be interested in a sport .I played volleyball, basket ball and softball from 5th to 11th grade. I really thought she would do something through school now that it’s offered in middle school but she said no.

I have a 64 oz kleen canteen that I've had for a decade now that I use at work so I don't have to go back and forth from the water fountain. It would be better if I could find the straw attachment for the wide mouth, but I think they've actually reconfigured the mouth shape and phased out that particular straw mouth. I do want to find a small slim profile bottle for the car to take coffee or water. Cup holders here are few and far between and ridiculously slim.

Omg, I do not have a water bottle. This feels like an unpopular opinion and confession rolled into one at this point.

I have 2 different 24oz Contigo bottles that I rotate through for work days but I don't use water bottles other than that. Most of our outings are pretty short or going somewhere where there will be beverages and cups available. I bring a water bottle for DS frequently though.

I much prefer drinking out of a glass or cup in general. I will drive with a xl tumbler of water and also a regular ceramic coffee cup. I drink the coffee before it has a chance to get cold. And the water glass starts out as a cup of ice then drink it before all the ice melts. If I want a coffee to go in my bag I use a contigo.

For those that have larger style water bottles that don’t fit in a standard vehicle cup holder (Nalgene, Hydroflask, etc.) get a car cup holder expander from Amazon. They fit into your regular cup holder tightly and have rubber pieces for a secure fit without any clinking. We have the Joytutus brand but there are quite a few to chose from.

Omg, I do not have a water bottle. This feels like an unpopular opinion and confession rolled into one at this point. I need them for wedding days or else I end up a dehydrated mess. I've had a couple of venues where they don't let vendors get drinks (including water) from the bar. Last summer there was a day with a heat index of 104 and the bartender was being really shitty about it for some reason? He was like "that's for guests" about the two ice water dispenser jugs so I went to the catering captain to ask where we could get a glass of water and he took care of it. That bartender stared daggers at me for the next 9 hours.

I much prefer drinking out of a glass or cup in general. At home, for hot beverages, yes. And for non water cold beverages, yes. I’ve adapted for water though and now pack my straw tumbler when I travel bc I need it to feel right in my life. Also my slippers. And sleep headphones. Bc I’m 82 in my soul.

At this point, it’s an emotional support crutch.
I’m good with that.

I like that the Stanleys don’t rattle in my cup holders. I’m noise sensitive, and my SM one rattled. So do the SBX ones. My Nalgene is too wide. It’s the Goldilocks of cups, for me. I’m aware that will strike some as dumb but that rattle can push me over the edge pretty quickly. Also sometimes I grab the one that matches my vibe for the day 🤷♀️ I haaaaaaate a rattling straw!
