Damn jorkzy! You’re FAST! I don’t think I’ve run a sub 6:30 mile since high school! Same. I have no clue where I would land on a timed mile right now. Maybe at some point I'll hit a track so I can do one in a semi controlled setting.

Happy Sunday! I haven’t checked in for a few days. Friday I did W5D1 of beginner strength. Yesterday was a 4 mile run, but my girls also had a cheer competition so I was on my feet alllll day. Today was my 8 mile long run.
I leave in an hour for a work conference and won’t be home until Wednesday. I’m going to bring my workout gear but I have no idea if I’ll have time to get anything in. Or how busy the hotel gym will be. It would be great if I could get at least run in, but at the very least I can probably do some body weight peloton classes in my room. My girls have a gymnastics meet next weekend so I have to find a time to get in my long run around that 😅 This next week will be a challenge for my half marathon training, but if I can make it work then I can basically do anything lol.

Do you have resistance bands? There are resistance bands workouts on the platform. Or body weight works. Yoga, Pilates, and Barre too!

I’m also going to put my 2lb weights so I can struggle along with Tunde lol.

Still feeling sicky today. But needed to move and get fresh air, so we went out for a slow walk. It’s cold and windy. I ended up jogging maybe a mile and a half. Blech.
More soup and tv and rest.

Tonight was a long run on the tread. I had wanted to do it outside because it was supposed to be nice out but instead it’s blizzarding so to the basement I went. I was aiming for 2 hours or 12 miles, whichever came first. Ended at 2h with 11.2 miles 😅
4 weeks til my half!!

I set out to do a mile yesterday during lunch and like .25 in I was like 'oh yeah, I'm supposed to do 3." So I did. And crossing one street I heard someone cheering me on? Turns out it was one of the guys from the training group lol, so that was fun. Today I'll get my mile in and pack for SC. Tomorrow is my race and I'm very like "why did I sign up for this?" Listen, I always silently cheer for ALL the runners I see when I am driving.
I have also yelled or honked many a times at people running (honk if I know them).
I wish more people cheered for runners, it's so uplifting when you are the runner.
I wish I did too! I had just told P (the guy that was cheering for me) like the week before that I like how he really sounds like sincere when he's doing that. I feel like I always sound patronizing or sarcastic when I try. It has taken a decade of living in the south to sound think I sound natural when I say sir or ma'am (to like my coworkers, it's common for us to be like "thank you, ma'am" regardless of age or 'rank').

RunsforWineandCarbs please don’t honk at me when running lol. Even if I see and recognize your car I still startle like a baby deer lol Yesterday I did a 20 minute mood: grateful ride because I was feeling anything but. Followed with 10 min core Today was 30 min intervals and arms ride. Ooh, I don't startle, but my first reaction is to throw up the middle finger while I continue on my way. I also grew up on a fairly busy road and got catcalled a lot from the time I was like 11 and already full of anger for other reasons, so I just got used to going off like a little harpy. It doesn't happen as much where I live now, but I was running on campus one day and someone honked and I started to raise my arm, then thought better of it. Good thing, b/c it turned out to be on the supervisors in my department doing a "good job!" honk hahahaha.

I live in a small city so most runner's I see, I know, lol, so i honk! I wave every time a car honks at me because I just assume I know them.
Yesterday I completed: 5 min strength warm up with tunde 10 min arms program with tunde 2.5 mile intervals with the dog. he set our intervals and they were wonky but we were trotting at an 11 min pace which is fast for me! I was also surprised at how great it felt to move like that.
Today will be a run before the ball game. Also whatever day I am on for the tunde program.
Food: B: orange juice with protein powder. (tastes like an orange julius), greek yogurt with granola S: Hard boiled eggs L: deli chicken, raw veggies, and hummus S: pepper jack cheese on triscuits D: air fryer chicken nuggets, green beans and blueberries

I’m feeling so grumbly. I was tired at the end of last week, and 2 days off OTF didn’t help. I’m not sure if something is wrong or if my body just hadn’t caught up. I was out in the sun chasing DS for 5 hours on Saturday, but didn’t do much physical activity yesterday. This morning’s OTF just felt HARD. I think I am fueling my body properly. IDK. I’m going to see how things go this week and try to hydrate and eat more carbs or something.
But in good news, opening day for softball was really fun. DD1’s team lost, but they played great, it was a tough team. DD2’s team actually won, partially because one of her teammates had a home run which was really exciting!

Total rest weekend and I lost my core streak :/ However I'm still crushing Feb so not going to beat myself up.
Today is a new day! Body pump + walk + 10 min core.
Breakfast was yogurt w/ protein powder and blueberries. Dinner will be pad thai.
L and S tbd.

We had opening day Saturday as well. Except our first game is today! The league does a day at the park with food trucks, dunk tanks and lots of inflatables.
Then an opening ceremony with both baseball and softball from tee ball all the way thru seniors.
It was really fun for the kids! Good luck this season!

Thank you, good luck to you too! We had a bounce house and a pie-the-coach station. DD1 had a lot of fun pie-ing H. 😂

My legs are still recovering from Saturday. That race was rough and I was STRUGGLING from at least mile 8 on. I thought I was gonna cry somewhere in mile 9. I thought I was going to pass out around mile 11. But I still got another sub-2hr and it was less than a second slower. If only I hadn't taken that like 3 step walk break I'd have pr'd haha.
On the plus side, I'm really proud that I dug really deep and didn't give up, I never thought to myself that I'll never run again (I had that thought seriously in my first road half), and I was positive at the end. I was running on and off with a different guy from the training club, and in that last .1 I could tell he was also struggling and I was like time to fake it til I make it and said "we got this, let's finish this strong!" and he really appreciated it. I really appreciated him being there, I don't know if I could have faked it just for myself.
I think the big problem was that I got in my head. I was worried that it was going to be awful and I shouldn't have signed up, should have stopped doing half's after last year's (since last year's race was the absolute best I have ever felt) and I barely slept the night before. I literally saw every hour on the clock, some of them multiple times : (

I’m so impressed with all the runners here just killing it!!
I got one very mini run (2.5km) while in New Orleans but averaged like 20k steps a day so I feel like I got my exercise in over the weekend. I have a 10k race scheduled for this weekend- it was supposed to be at 6pm next to my house but moved to 7pm 30 minutes away and I’m grumbly about the changes. Part of me wants to opt out but I paid 15€ lol

Howdy.
Late update.
I did not get up this morning, because first day back from break. So tough, ugh. Then I had super limited time after school because my car had to be dropped off to check on a possible transmission issue, still. Dumb. Squeezed something in though, but barely.
20 minute run with Logan 5 minute stretch with Camila
Before bed I did
10 minute core focus flow with Kristen 20 minute yoga for runners with Mariana
Hopefully I can get back to normal tomorrow.

Evening, all!
I'm back to doing HCOTF for a bit until I figure out my next move. Did a 20 min G/L with Adrian, 10 min G/L with Rad, and a 10 min core with Rad.
I had a sick DS home with me today and H was gone basically til 9pm but he did come home between 4-5pm so I could go for a walk to the grocery store for more soup and meds for him, so I got a 30ish minute walk in too.
B - Kodiak waffle, turkey bacon, fruit L - leftover beef and shrimp fajita meat over salad D - Air fryer chicken sandwiches S - probably some cinnamon sugar popcorners chips and cottage cheese

Well I took the weekend off from intentional exercise. Not really on purpose but I just didn’t find time. I volunteered for the last push to get ready for DS’s musical this weekend. Then I picked up a foster dog on Sunday. I forgot how much work it takes to get everything set up! And this one was with another foster but long story short it was basically like he came from the shelter and he needed some extra TLC.
Anyways, my routine is all messed up with the dog and DS having tech week so I’ll be winging it.
Tonight I did a 45 min PZE ride with Hannah F and a 15 min yoga flow with Anna. The ride was good with mostly fresh legs. And the yoga was needed for my sore back from set painting.

No cardio today, but I did a 30 minute full body strength with Selena on my new Guide! I like the rep counting and the round tracking in AMRAPs. And recording what weights you're using for different moves.
20 minutes of evening yoga with Anna after.

Morning.
20 minute interval run with Olivia 20 minute EDM run with Olivia 15 minute arms and shoulders with Assal 5 minute core with Olivia 5 minute stretch with Olivia
Yoga tonight.
I wish Assal taught some English classes. Her voice is so soft and smooth and soothing. I'll have to dig up more of her subtitled classes.
Food should be on point. I made rice last night so I was able to actually bring lunch today instead of just eating gobs of crackers out of my desk. I might not be super hungry though since I just had my protein shake and bar like an hour later than usual and have overnight oats for second breakfast. We'll see.
