I’m feeling good about my January, I ran 100 km despite travel and freezing weather!
My February will be heavy on the travel, including New Orleans and Switzerland, so hoping to just keep it consistent.
I also signed up for a 10k in March, a half marathon in June and have my non-official marathon planned for July.

My only real goals were mileage based, core everyday, and try to lose weight. I ran 86.5 miles and cycled 89.1 miles, so good there. I didn't lose any weight, but this morning I was at the lowest end of the range I'm currently hanging out in, so that's a good spot to start the month. And I did not miss a single day of core, so on track there.
My goals will remain the same for February; lose some weight, core everyday, minimum of 83 miles running and cycling respectively, strength other than core 2-4x per week.I should probably do better tracking my food too.
This morning I got up and did things.
45 minute tempo run with Wilpers 10 minute chest and back with Robin 5 minute core with Robin 5 minute stretch with Camila
Yoga tonight.
Food is fine so far and will stay that way. We need to tighten up our food budget a bit, so I really need to just only eat what we have, which will keep me more disciplined since we don't keep junk food in the house.

January was nothing for me. I planned to start again today and yet I have CD3 cramps that are all the way into my legs and making me nauseous so I’m on the couch with a heating pad instead so my February may start Monday.
But my goal is to get moving 5 days a week again with Hiit and weights and to start tracking. I’ve done really well cooking healthy dinners but I need to meal prep lunches and such again

Last month I got in 300 miles on the bike, which was my main goal. I also re-established some healthier eating habits after a Thanksgiving to New Years that was fueled by baguettes, butter, chocolate and wine. (Cut alcohol, wheat, dairy, a lot of added sugar, and focused on getting in more greens.) Of course, none of this led to any lbs lost. I know that’s not the main point (I do *feel* better and I’m hoping it helps tame some inflammation), but my 40’s metabolism sucks. I started this month with an FTP warmup and test. PR’d by 19 points. Going into Saturday’s 120 with new zones! No mileage goal for February because it’s a short month, but I am inspired by cnf and I want to establish a core habit, so I want to do a core workout every day. (Still need to get today’s in!)

Good morning! My goal this month is to try to stick to my macro goal each day (loosely, if I’m being honest, mainly focusing on protein intake), and continue with the transformation challenge at OTF. I have made and bookmarked some new Lillie and Zach Coen meals and I’m off to a good belated start after vacation.
I did 5 am OTF this morning, and it was the 500m benchmark row. My goal was under 2 min, with a stretch goal of 1:45. I hit 1:40:70, so happy with that. I can’t remember my pre pandemic PR (the app wasn’t tracking it at that time, I don’t think), but I think it was in the upper 1:30s. I’m shocked and happy that I’m close to it!

No real goals for this month, just working through Dig Deeper and building my running back up to see if I can reduce pain.

Thank goodness the Year of January is over.
I stuck with my workout goals of strength 3x/week, running (run/walk) 3x/week, although I slacked off of yoga the last 2 weeks in favor of a total rest day. So I want to be better about yoga/stretching this month and going forward as I feel so much better when I do.
I tracked really well the first three weeks and got so crazy with life this past week that I let it go by the wayside, but back on track today.
From a non-workout perspective, I've really upped my skincare game and I think I'm starting to see the results of that. Going to bed earlier has been fairly successful, too, again, slacking off this past week. I read 3 books last month and am looking to up that to 4 for February. I also stuck to completing a writing prompt each day with the goal towards writing a short story or even picking up a novel I started a few years ago (or a new one) by mid-year.
When I look back on January, I'm pretty pleased with how the month ended, considering it's one of the busiest times of year for me work-wise and I solidified a good workout routine and getting back in the habit of tracking. For February, I want to work on making healthier food choices as I always feel so much better getting more veggies and fruits into my diet and less caffeine (soda).

I didn't set any goals in January, but I ran 73 miles, including my half on Jan 14th, so that's pretty good. January was the kick-off of my marathon training, but I got a bit derailed at the start due to an illness that forced me to rest for a week.
February goals are to stick with my marathon training plan. I should be hitting my longest run to date this month at 16 miles, so I'm nervous/excited for that. I have to travel for work twice and for a kid sporting event once in March so I really want to lay a strong foundation in February.
Yesterday I hilariously did a Zumba class with coworkers at lunch, and then a 20 minute HIIT run with Hannah F in the evening.
There is a 5 mile Trail Sisters run this evening that I may or may not make - it has been raining and everything is extremely wet and muddy, and H is working out of the house today so it's all sort of dependent on timing and how the weather seems when 5 o'clock rolls around. If I don't go out with the Sisters then I'll stay in and hit the Tread.

I'm really frustrated, there's a 5K I love to do in May for children's mental health services and the registration link hasn't worked since they released it. I have emailed them twice and no response, and it's not fixed.

January was shit. And that's ok.
I think I figured out that some of the weakness was coming from an iron deficiency. I've had issues with it before, and when I looked at everything it made total sense. I started the supplements I've used in the past and I already notice a difference.
Most of my "workouts" are dog walks and stretches. That's all I have time and mental energy for ATM. Looking forward to warmer days when I can go for walks on lunch. DS also needs to start swimming more, and I promised him one day a week at the pool. I would like to lie to myself and say I'll pick up the weights again soon, but I don't know that I will while I'm still in school and at this dumb job. So OH WELL.

I ran 50 miles in January which I’ve only done two other months ever, I think, and that was in the midst of half marathon training. This month the goal is more of the same (maybe 45 miles since it’s a shorter month), but I desperately need to add in more strength training. I don’t have a plan for that yet, but I need to figure something out. My problem is if I have 45 minutes I want to spend it all running, not 30 running and 15 doing other stuff. But I just need to suck it up.
Overall I’m feeling really great about my running and overall fitness. I’ve also lost 32 pounds since April when I started my weight loss journey in earnest, and that’s been so great for my mind. I’m eating well, finding space for the things I love in my diet without feeling crazy, and not slipping into obsessive territory (slightly, maybe if I’m being honest, but not excessively). I have no intention of losing more weight on purpose, but just want to stick to the mileage and strength goals.

I’ve always had lower iron but haven’t taken supplements in a while. DD’s doctor said she is on the lower than they would like end too and want her taking a multivitamin with iron which she hates but doesn’t but now I’m wondering if we are both suffering and I should force it more for both of us

Those were all ones I was tempted to attribute to the increase in my migraine meds. But then I noticed that my fingernails were getting really weak and brittle, and that's very unusual for me. I have nails of steel. They only start breaking and flaking when my iron is low. It all could be linked to the med causing low appetite, meaning I'm not taking in as many calories--and therefore micronutrients, including iron. But that was what gave me the aha moment. I also started a multivitamin for the first time in years.

January saw weight gain. I know this happens, and I need to focus on my mental state rather than the outward behavior. I've already had some good days, and I did some yoga this morning.

I lost the first 10 or so days of January to vacation and illness, but did great the rest of the month. I tracked 49 miles of walking, 27 miles of running, and 10 yoga/pilates classes, plus another strength class or two each week. The illness also meant I started the month about 5 lbs down from where my body has been hanging out, and I have been maintaining there without working too hard at diet or exercise. For February, we have quite a bit of travel planned, but I'd like to keep up with 3x runs/weekly (planned around weather, I think it's going to mostly rain for the next 10ish days, and yoga/strenth/pilates most weekdays. I got an updated apple watch for Christmas, and it tells me how many minutes of daylight I'm experiencing daily, and I want to try to increase that number by taking my seated work outside (also weather permitting) and getting my kids outside on the weekend/evening (even just to play in the backyard)

Yep! A lot of iron supplements also contain vitamin C now. My doctor told me to take it with a glass of orange juice if it didn't.

January was great! I really picked up a lot of progress (for me) in strength training this month which feels amazing. Deadlift went from 105 to 125 Squat 100 to 120 Bench holding steady at 75 which was a PR the very first workout of the month.
Running was also good. It was definitely the thing that got put aside when I had to skip something, but even then I feel like I’m *consistently* running more and really only walking during warm up/cool down.
Overall really happy with January. And happy it’s over. I’m ready for some sunshine!
Feb I REALLY want to get better at earlier bedtimes. Otherwise just want to KOKO

I started today off with a 30 minute run (new year's recovery run with JTR). I thought I was going to get rained out but it cleared in time. Just muddy sidewalks with debris all over because it was also very windy in this storm. Then H and I took the dog for a short walk before meetings started. I think that's it, because I'm on girl scout cookie delivery duty this afternoon.

Hello! I went back and checked and it looks like my January goal was just to run 50 miles. I was worried about setting too high of a mileage goal because of the weather and yet here we are with a 50° day in January. I surpassed that with 67 miles.
February goal is probably going to be 65 miles to be conservative and anything above that is great. I’m still chugging along on the Tunde Arms Challenge and the Hannah Barre Challenge so I’ll probably keep on going with those as well as finishing the Beginner Strength program. I also want to start and complete another core program.
Today is going to be a rest day for me though. DD3 has been throwing up all day and so I’m just cuddling her in bed and trying to keep her comfortable. Fingers crossed I don’t get whatever this is and that her sisters don’t get it either!

I remembered to come here instead of posting in January!
I actually did well in January despite getting sick again. My only goals were to figure out my food and start tracking again, as well as to exercise a few times a week and I did well with both. Feeling good about moving into February.
This month, I want to continue with my food and incorporate a bit more exercise. I got in a run tonight during my kids' soccer practice and ate within macros today, so I'm off to a great start!

January was great for me! Consistent running and some strength too. I hit 65km running (40 miles) which was my goal from Dec that I never met. Plus another ~20km of hiking and walking.
My run plan called for a mile time trial today, and I clocked in at 7:40, which was an improvement over my previous 8:30. Also PR’d the 1km portion at 4:41. This is all tread though, and I do wonder if I’d be able to replicate it outdoors. I feel I perform better on the tread but we’ll see in the spring I guess!
Goals for Feb are more of the same, staying consistent with the run plan and seeing if I can drop those numbers a bit further. Mileage goal of 80km this month (50 miles). I’d also like to push the weekly long run distance to 10-15km to start prep for a spring or summer half marathon.
