January was good for me. Started strong but the last week or so have been blah. It’s more mental health stuff though and I’m trying to just move my body a bit each day and not be too judgmental on myself. For some reason I got stuck in a negative loop about my body a couple weeks ago after not having much that for a long time. So just trying to pull up and use my skills to block out the negativity.
Anyways, my goals were to continue the RK split, which I did for 5 consecutive weeks. And to start back with regular running. Which I’ve done but I’m hating the tread and have been stuck on it a lot lately. I also started Ben’s new strength program and although it’s not my favorite, I’m moving along with it. I’ve also been doing pretty good with sleep and water. So good start to the year.
Feb goals: Finish stronger you 2 program Continue running Continue working on sleep hygiene Schedule my mammogram and primary care visit

I went out last night until midnight (!) and was so exhausted all day. So called it an active recovery day and did a 20 min recovery ride with Jess King and a 20 min evening slow flow with Aditi. Exactly what I needed.

Super pleased with how I ended January and hope to do much of the same for February, but adding at minimum 5 min core via Peloton app every day. (which reminds me that I haven't done it yet today Also committing to 6am 30 min spin class on Wednesdays before body pump. Yesterday- Thursdays are a challenge but I got in a 45 min walk and 10 min standing core while my dd was at practice. Today- 1 hour body pump, 4 mile walk w neighbor, and going to go to 5 min core after I hit post! ETA did 10 min core w Jess Sims. Hollow body hold interruptions. It was tough!

Got in 30 minutes, 2.75 miles yesterday. I think my goal by the end of the year is to be able to consistently break 3 miles in a 30 minute workout.

I didn’t set any specific goals for January (I think)
Yesterday I did a Cody xoxo ride Today I hit a 30 min intervals and arms
Hoping the weather will cooperate a little and I can get back to running outside — the tread is bad enough but it’s so loud and needs to be serviced I’m not even sure if it’s worth it at this point but I keep putting off calling the guy to see what he thinks.

30 minute Disney yoga this morning, and now I am humming princess songs around my house. We're travelling this weekend, so I got in a 20 minute run (but the app dropped me a few minutes in, so I did just over 2 miles in 23 minutes). Likely taking the dog for a walk today, too.

Ok, I finally got decent sleep last night and got in my first good workout of the week. Never too late, right?
10 min warm up walk with Jess King 20 min adv beginner run with Camila 20 min legs and core strength with Ben (TSY2 w2d3) 5 min lower body stretch with Ben
Man, Jess King has been preaching to me the last two days and I’ve needed her words. So encouraging and comforting.

5 am OTF this morning. But I power walked instead of running on the tread, bc I’m tired and it was a long endurance block lol. The floor block was great.
I realized why I’m so tired- I have gone to OTF the last 5 of 6 days. That’s a lot for me. I won’t be going this weekend though bc H is out of town with the girls, so I will be attempting to take walks if it isn't raining, and maybe doing some Peloton stuff.

January went well. My goal was to get back to exercising and I did that!
February's goal is to finish the beginner strength workout and then move onto something else strength related. I also am making a goal of stretching/yoga every day in February.
Yesterday I did the last day of week 5 of the beginner strength program. This was a full body strength workout with Matty and the first with combination moves.

I ended January with just over 87 miles of running and started February with a 5 mile run last night. It looks like I'm probably not doing the trail relay (issues with making enough teams and stuff), but that's ok. I can still do the group run tomorrow morning.

I got in 4 miles today. I am absolutely loving this weather. I think I would like winter a lot more if it was like this every year. Temps in the 30s with no snow on the ground is the best. Finished up with ALW, Barre, and I restarted Crush Your Core. The difference between this Day 1 and the first time I did it was huge. I could actually do everything. I even did the damn bicycle crunches that are my nemesis!

I did not get up. I don't know why, but I vaguely remember my alarm. I need to really tighten my morning routine back up.
Did a 30 minute hip hop run with Jess and a 5 minute core with Olivia after school. We're doing a movie night with the kids, so no yoga tonight.

Morning. Such a morning. Our basement has a keypad knob on it that we installed after DD2 injured herself on the treadmill. The girls do know, years later now, how to open the door. DD2 was impatient waiting for me this morning and was messing with it and accidentally disabled it. If that happens you either need the key, or to be able to access the back of the handle to pop it off to get to the disengage button. H and I tore the house apart looking for the key and could not find it. Couldn't figure out any hacks to disengage it, and ultimately had to take the door off the hinges. But since it was still locked we had to really work to pry the door out of the frame even with the hinge pins out. Just a mess. The box for the keypad knob was in the basement and the key, surprise, not in it. H put the regular handle back on the door now. Whatever. So, 45 minutes later, I finally got started. Anyways. 30 minute interval run with Robin 5 minute core with Callie 5 minute stretch with Camila Yoga tonight. We're headed to the Strong play museum today, so I'll pick up like a billion more steps too. Food should be decent. And just because, here's my view from the tread. DD2 was pretending to be a peloton instructor and recording workouts. She ganked my 2lbs weights, lol. She does this a lot. Start em young!

120 minute PZE with Wilpers this morning for my 600th ride! No shout out, but there were over 5000 on the ride, and I got plenty of high fives. First ride with my new zones and it felt pretty good! I PR’d from the last 2 hr ride by over 100 points. Had a 996 output— next time I’m looking to break 1K! One of my cousins who I ride with ended in the top 100 on the leaderboard. He’s next level.
Post ride I did a 5 minute core, 10 minute light arms, and 5 minute stretch (plus stretching on my own.)
I’m going out tonight and I’m excited!

Got my 10 miles in this morning. And I'm back in the relay tomorrow, just a six mile leg since someone had to pull out. While I'm glad it's a shorter distance, it's also the last leg of the day so I don't exactly know when I should be there to start. The guess so far is maybe 1:00 or 2:00pm.

So cute cnf! Also I'm pretty sure my kid would kill for that room! They do love it, but the basement is unfinished so sometimes they're a bit weird about it. It's definitely worth having though! It was clean a week ago, lol.

Today's workout was hauling girl scout cookies. :-) I helped sort the boxes for the service unit (our town), then hauled cookies to our house, and sorted them here. My shoulders and biceps are definitely feeling it.

Today was 3 easy miles for me. Well, the last mile I ran way too fast because it’s a nice day out and there were so many people out walking. I didn’t want to do the thing where I awkwardly shuffle by them at a pace just faster than they’re walking so I booked it a little 🤣
Came home and did W2D1 of Beginner Stength plus my usual other 3. I actually was really impressed with myself during the ALW class. DD1 did it with me and she had to drop her weights during some of it. This is the kid that got the most pushups in her entire grade for fitness testing (thanks gymnastics!) so it’s not like she’s got a weak upper body. Tunde is just that hard lol.

I took DS and the dog for a walk today, and took a separate walk with just DS to Gymboree. It was fun having a day with just DS!

5 minute warm up ride with Ally 30 minute climb ride with Charlotte 5 minute core with Callie 5 minute stretch with Emma
30 minute yoga tonight. I skipped it again last night, so I really need to do it tonight.
Groceries and food prep this afternoon too.
