Morning.
60 minute interval run with Becs 5 minute core with Olivia 10 minute stretch with Robin
Yoga tonight.
Woof, my legs are beat AF. Probably shouldn't have sandwiched 35 cycling miles in between two 6+ mile runs, but that decision is already made and done. Oh well. I will treat myself to some active recovery tomorrow.
We'll be spending God knows how long sitting at the car dealership today. I need an oil change but there's also something definitely wrong with my transmission. My Tahoe is 2022, so it makes me irrationally pissy. Can't wait to sit around there for fuck ever how long with three kids. Joyous occasions.
Food will be decent. I'll probably owe the kids donut or lunch out for putting up with the bullshit that is car problems.

Morning. Going to the office the last two days and scrambling around in the evenings picking up rental skis and getting stuff together for our trip this weekend means I did not run much
Tuesday I did 15 minute low impact ride with Robin 20 minute upper body strength with Andy 10 minute lower body strength with Rad 10 minute lower body mobility with Kirra
Wednesday I did 10 minute focus flow: healthy back with Kirra
This morning I did 10 minute warmup run with Becs 45 minute HIIT run with Becs
We are leaving this afternoon for Tahoe and I'm pretty sure the little inn where we are staying does not have a gym, so I don't know if I'll be able to get any miles in the rest of the week, depending on what time we get home on Sunday night.

No workout yesterday as I had my annual breast MRI (high risk due to family history) and I take meds to keep me calm during the test (super claustrophobe). I basically napped most of the afternoon away. I got my results already, which everything looks fine, so that's always reassuring.
Today, I was all dressed and ready to go out for a run and was about all of a quarter-mile into it and it started pouring so I am skipping today as well. This is more of a deload/recovery week for me anyway so I'm okay with the change in plans. LOL.

3 mile walk/jog today followed by a few strider sprints. It’s SO nice out!
MH has a cold so naturally he’s grunting and snorting (he’s snorting not snoring) all night long and I think I’ll ask him to go to the guest room tonight

Evening!
Thursday is usually recovery day but I skipped Monday when we were in Pittsburgh, so I did half strength/half recovery. 20 min soundtrack strength club with Callie, which was all songs from 10 Things I Hate About You, which was fun. Then I did a 20 min Pilates with Aditi.
B - Skinnytaste salmon salad from last night on an English muffin L - more salmon salad eaten with wonton chips - I'm clearly obsessed D - Skinnytaste "Marry Me" chicken + palmini "noodles" S - banana mug cake, per my usual Thursday cake ritual lol

4 miles for me today. Probably took them a bit too fast but the weather was absolutely perfect and I was feeling good so whatever. I need to make sure I go easy tomorrow though so I have energy for 8 miles this weekend.
Finished up with my peloton stack. This was the first time in the 8 weeks I’ve been doing Tunde’s arm challenge that I didn’t have to take a break or modify in some way. That felt great. 2 lb weights can be so humbling 😅

I went to OTF this morning and it was such a tough workout lol. I felt like I didn’t have enough glycogen or *something* because everyyyyyyything was a struggle. Ugh.
I’m really sore and I don’t think tomorrow will be better, but I’m going at 5 am anyway. 🙃

I set out to do a mile yesterday during lunch and like .25 in I was like 'oh yeah, I'm supposed to do 3." So I did. And crossing one street I heard someone cheering me on? Turns out it was one of the guys from the training group lol, so that was fun. Today I'll get my mile in and pack for SC. Tomorrow is my race and I'm very like "why did I sign up for this?"

I went to OTF this morning, but it wasn’t pretty. I think it was the kick I needed to take the whole weekend off. I have the strength class planned for Sunday morning, but I may cancel tomorrow night. My IT band was acting up after the first tread block (although, I did get 1.22 miles in 10.5 minutes which is good for me), so I power walked the rest. The floor was a fun one, but my body is just so tired that I didn’t enjoy it like I usually do.
Tomorrow is softball opening day, and I will be at the field chasing a toddler for several hours, so yeah I don’t think Sunday workout will happen lol.

Listen, I always silently cheer for ALL the runners I see when I am driving.
I have also yelled or honked many a times at people running (honk if I know them).
I wish more people cheered for runners, it's so uplifting when you are the runner.

RunsforWineandCarbs please don’t honk at me when running lol. Even if I see and recognize your car I still startle like a baby deer lol Yesterday I did a 20 minute mood: grateful ride because I was feeling anything but. Followed with 10 min core Today was 30 min intervals and arms ride.

I love love love focusing on speed work. The plan has some benchmarking, and tonight was mile time trial #2. The first one was a month ago, did it in 7:40, and it felt super hard and I remember trying not to die.
Mile time trial #2 tonight: 6:15. 🤯. Wild!
Next up is a long run on Sunday. Aiming for 12 miles, might even do it outside since it’s supposed to be amazing this weekend.

Hi!! I’ve been absent but I’m cheering everyone on. I skied on Tuesday. Then we drive home Wednesday and I walked the dog and rested. Then Thursday I didn’t do anything other than walk the dog because I was feeling tired and my legs were hurting my skiing. Today I got back to it and woke up for a morning workout.
10 min warm up walk with Hosky 30 min intervals run with Camila 10 min full body stretch with Hannah C

Good morning! It’s been a week. I had not ridden / worked out since last weekend because sick/ working like crazy/ not sleeping enough. But this morning I rallied for Matt’s 8AM. It was an encore ride, but it was from the Saturday after Thanksgiving and I hadn’t done it. 30 minute PZ. All intervals in zone 6. I was dying. But glad I got it in.

As predicted my arms hurt today and I have MH’s cold.
Rest. Day. DS is also sick (binax negative). Again.
Anyway I need rec’s for springtime outdoor running tops. I have a heavier Brooks jacket but it’s pretty warm. Other than that I kind of only have tank tops, besides long sleeve cotton shirts which I’m finding don’t always feel great. Do you guys just get a long sleeve tech shirt or a light layer over a tank? I need something for the 30-40 degree days when it ISNT sunny (when it is sunny/no wind I feel fine in a tank top at those temps)

Below freezing I have a light, fleece lined top. But over freezing, just a long sleeve tech top. I also hail from the land of snow and have thick north easterner blood. Low temperatures don't bother me too much. You can always layer a tank underneath to help keep your core warmer if you need.

I never food prepped yesterday, so I tossed some chicken in the crockpot for curry and plan to make overnight oats later too.

We are back from Tahoe. The hotel where we stayed did not have a gym so I haven’t done much the last couple of days, but it’s nice out and I’m going to do a long run here shortly. I’m aiming for 12-14 I guess, I don’t have a hard target. jaygee I don’t ski but DH skiied with DS1 yesterday and he is so sore today. We usually only go up once a year and I don’t remember it being this hard on him last year. He’s very like “well, maybe I’m too old to ski now” and I’m trying to find ways to remind him gently that he does almost nothing the rest of the year, and we have this nice Peloton bike and treadmill in our house….

I did Hannah F’s 45 minute EDM PZE and then a 10 minute light arms with Kristin and it was just what I needed. Long intervals in zone 3 with zone 2 recoveries and Hannah’s banter. So nice. I’d love a 75 minute or 90 minute ride with her.
