I need to get my youngest vaccinated. I’m not sure where we are going to get it done. His pediatrician didn’t order doses because they said they don’t have enough parents willing to vaccinate. Do your pharmacies do pediatric vaccinations? I know our Walgreens won’t do them until age 7. I will have to look at the other pharmacies around here!

Feels like everyone is getting it lately. Finally catching up with people who have avoided it for so long.
Alex tested positive the morning we were supposed to leave on a plane. No symptoms (we just all did pre-flight tests). Everyone else was negative, so we kept A back with MH until she tested negative. Which, was like a day later. I guess we caught her on the tail end of it? No one else tested positive at all, even after 10 days. So strange 🤷🤷🤷

I cannot find Moderna for my 4 year old anywhere 😞. ETA he turns 5 in September so I was trying to avoid 3 Pfizer shots.

Oh squeak, that is tough. Being in this sandwich generation is no joke, and I hope he will agree to what you are asking sooner than later.

M exits her ten days of isolation (I mean it’s 5 at home and 5 masked but we wear masks indoors everywhere anyway, so we just mostly stayed at home ten days). T is the last one who has day ten on Sunday.
T - unvaxxed 4yo - took over a week of being in a home with 4 other unmasked family members (we gave up on masks after both parents tested positive overlapping) to test positive. Amazing.
All kids were asymptomatic.
Meanwhile, H & M and A (50+) are all getting boosted together on Friday, and T’s first vaxx shot is booked for the week after we get home from a trip!
This was our first COVID positive situation at home. Wow, logistically, even before health considerations, it really stinks, eh?

ovenrack, its also amazing/infuriating that T was also asymptomatic. Its like all the rules are out the window. Regardless I'm glad you all are mostly out of it and moving forward!

I'm patiently waiting for my province to announce the availability of the Moderna vaccine for the under 5 group... It's been approved but there's no word on the rollout yet.

So far she’s taking it like a champ. We gave her Tylenol in the morning, she had a slight temp in the evening. But it hasn’t seemed to slow her down. We gave her Tylenol before bed and all 3 are currently sleeping in. Technically we can send the older two to camp until they show symptoms, but if we have one home we might as well have all 3. The scary part is we can send F back on Monday as long as it’s been 24 hours since she has had any symptoms, no test required. So I guess we are just going to treat this like a normal bug until things get so horrible we can’t function.

sarenu I’m sorry that happened but so glad F is feeling okay! I’m having trouble getting a vax appt for my preschooler because our pediatric group isn’t ordering any 🙄.

I’ve been thinking how I basically want to bow out of air travel until the year 2050 at this point.
Now that masks aren’t required and I’m pretty sure tons of people are knowingly flying COVID+, the thought of being crammed in an aluminum tube with that many people is a hard pass.

So my parents went on a cruise last week with a bunch of their motorhome friends. At least one of them has tested positive and some others have symptoms. When they come pick up their dog (because I'm NOT keeping him for longer than necessary - just had to mop my entire house because he dribbled all over...) I'm thinking I'll put him and his stuff outside. I do not need covid while pregnant, no freaking thank you!

Felt really light headed yesterday. Like foggy. I’m also slightly stuffy, but that could be just the air pressure.
I took the day off yesterday and just relaxed.
We aren’t going to bother testing until Sunday.

Feeling clear this morning, but man the fog is just awful.
I’m waiting for the relapse or the bus to hit me with a headache/fever.
However, I need to update my resume and apply for a position. Or I’ll miss my chance. It’s only a 3 day window and the timing sucks.

Can someone please tell my body I am not hungover and to just get it together? Brought to you by feeling awful last night, still testing negative, going to bed at 9, and craving hash browns this morning.

It has been 16 days for me.
I tested positive on Sunday, tested positive this morning. I’m most likely going to miss the one vacation we have planned for this summer and I am beyond annoyed/angry/depressed.
Fuck this.

If you’re asymptomatic and it’s been 10 days since you were symptomatic, it’s unlikely you’re contagious? Right? Jeez I hate this.

Unfortunately I can still feel the congestion in my lungs. But it’s nothing that hinders me getting on the bike or rower. Just an annoyance.

For those who 5 and unders got the Moderna vaccine, did you wait longer than 4 weeks between doses? I'm reading conflicting info. J got his first dose last week after having covid in May, and he turns 5 this month.

For H, we had 4.5 weeks between shots #1 and #2 (age 16 mo). Our ped said no less than 4 and that's how the scheduling panned out. He had no issues.

I was going to get my second booster tomorrow. I got my first in October, and now I can get the new omicron version.
However, I just read that if you have had COVID recently you may want to delay in order to re-up immunity as natural immunity from having the virus wanes.
Dr Fauci got COVID in the middle/end of June, same as me! So since he is going to wait until mid/end June, I will too.
So I canceled.
