I wonder if he did it to get more attention or garner sympathy. I don't think there's any question.

Those bubble letters are something. I'm interested in his reasons though since he made it seem like there is more to it from his end. Could just be big talk though.

That letter is something. For some reason I wonder if he did it to get more attention or garner sympathy. I don’t believe that he didn’t plan it. Has to be.

Pity seeking.
I don't think this is uncommon. Look at the Watts case this week. He is suddenly spilling all of these gruesome details. And saying he didn't plan it. Just got up and had to go through with it.
The only thing missing from this dude is the religious bent of I repent, found God, reborn, was possessed by evil, etc. That's probably next.

That is puzzling, to say the least. I wonder if he'll truly plead guilty and fade away or if he'll keep putting tidbits of information out slowly to stay in the limelight.

I sort of feel like the bubble lettering was some twisted way of trying to tell Jayme he missed her.

I sort of feel like the bubble lettering was some twisted way of trying to tell Jayme he missed her. I thought it was a very juvenile method of getting some kind of emotion from her (sympathy, forgiveness) and I’m stuck on if he did it to appeal to a girl her age or if he is that immature that he uses bubble letters and thinks this is an appropriate way to behave toward his victim. He seems very emotionally stunted and socially awkward and I am leaning towards he doesn’t think this is weird.

The “lol” and “idk” shit pisses me off. Glad you’re laughing at your scribbles.
His suggestion that the cops twisted his words all around to make him look like a serial killer because they made mistakes are making me rage, too. Uh, hi fucknuts, you DID MURDER TWO PEOPLE. IN COLD BLOOD. IN FRONT OF THEIR 13 YEAR OLD. SO YOU COULD ABDUCT HER.
I’m revolted that he had a plan of what to do with her if he didn’t get caught. Like, did he think they were in a relationship and were going to run off to Canada together? Or was he going to murder her when she didn’t fit under the bed anymore? The bubble letters make me think that he wants to be portrayed as a young kid himself who just made a mistake.
His suggestion like he was doing the family a favor by not putting them through a trial makes me want to scream.

I think it's super weird that he focuses only on Jayme. He literally murdered two people and they aren't mentioned at all. It's all Jayme. It makes me think he did have some relationship fantasy as if he could create himself a partner from a sweet perfect girl.

Him saying "I don't think like that" is a direct contradiction to his "That's the girl I'm going to take" lightbulb moment before kidnapping her. Unless those were the words that got ~*twisted*~ by the police.

He's trying to get attention the same way Ted Bundy was always trying to get attention up until the moment he was put to death.
"It's complicated."
No it's not, Loser.

The more I think about this, the more I hate that they gave him any acknowledgement of this nonsense. It's very obvious what he's trying to do.

Does anyone follow the group anymore? Apparently Jayme’s aunt and uncle had a renovation planned when they bought their house a couple of years ago. Now they’re having a fundraiser to “welcome Jayme back” and pay for the renovation. I cut out the mortgage info because, even if public info, I don’t think it’s necessary.

I don't know how construction loans work, but is it possible that the renovations to add room for Jayme is more than they originally planned for? Trying really hard to play devil's advocate here and hoping against hope that her relatives aren't awful fucking people.

It’s also ... it appears that there was an account set up that people could contribute to for Jayme. A 2nd account has been set up for the aunt and uncle for renovations, expenses, etc. Which, of course could be benefitting the extra expenses occurred with Jayme moving in with them, but, yeah, optics-wise, not great.

Yeah I feel like their renovation plans were most likely updating the kitchen and bathrooms type of shit. Not potentially having to add an additional guest room or whatever to accommodate an extra person permanently. Also, I'm assuming they have already completed their original renovations if they bought the house several years ago and took out a renovation loan at the same time as the purchase.

We purchased our house with a construction to conventional loan. We had to have a very detailed timeline of the renovations and paid only interest until they were complete. I feel like they would have had to have moved to the conventional loan by now, because banks aren't going to let you just sit for years.
I'm hoping that it's for something actually related to adding Jayme to their home and daily life.

Didn’t they move because Jayme moved and didn’t they already have a room for her? They bought their house in the middle of 2018. Jayme was abducted a couple of months later. I’m guessing renovations haven’t happened.

mmmmmm... You're going along with your own life and own plans until one day, out of the blue, someone murders your sister and brother in law and kidnaps your niece. Then you find her and now you're the one in charge of raising her. Probably have a hard time selling your sister's home because two people were brutally murdered in it. No telling if they left any life insurance or money behind to raise her with...
I know the optics are a little weird, but I also don't think it's the worst thing ever.
