I started CD 1 on Christmas Day. When I called my RE office Tuesday they were closed, so I had them page the on call nurse to verify before I started clomid, and she told me they are moving to a new office next week (which I knew) and that they would have no u/s available the entire week (which I was most definitely not told)! She said I could either take BCP for two weeks or just wait until next month. I decided to wait, because every time I take the pill it knocks my cycle out of its norm for a few months and it didn't seem worth it to do the IUI two weeks sooner. I'm just super annoyed that the MA didn't tell me that part when she called w/ my beta result Friday, and I'm annoyed that I'll now have had to spread my 3 IUIs out over 5 months. It's not the end of the world, but still. Sorry for the book haha.

ap21ril, That is so frustrating. I can’t believe they didn’t tell you that there would be no ultrasound available! I’m annoyed for you!

Beta came back at 132 today! Repeat beta next Tuesday. I’m migrating over to the Sept/Oct BMB, and I hope to see you all there soon! I’ll be lurking and crossing my fingers that you all have success. Thank you so much for all the support and encouragement you’ve given me. I can’t express how much being part of this community has helped me!

Thank you ap21ril! I'm sorry for the frustration about having to skip this cycle! Your RE's office should definitely have told you that they wouldn't have US available to you. Is there anywhere else nearby that you could do your US at?

Well this cycle seriously fucked with my head. My LP was almost 3 days longer than usual so I really had my hopes up and was crushed when I woke up at 2 bleeding this morning. So this marks 18 months TTC. I was really feeling like giving up last night but this morning I’m feeling a bit better. I’m going to throw myself into healthy eating on Tuesday and get back to my exercise routine. I really want to mope in bed all day, but my dad is coming over for belated Christmas and I need to get moving and cook some things.

TW Loss
So I talked to my RE yesterday. She thinks I have an anatomical issue which is why these 2 pregnancies haven't worked out. Maybe from the left tube? I can get pregnant with treatments, but the embryos just can't seem to get to the uterus.
She wants me to heal up a few more weeks, and then we can start again with treatments. We'll do exactly what we did before (Femara plus Follistim and TI). We'll give this a few more tries (3-4). If I don't get pregnant or if I have another ectopic/MC then she recommends IVF.
She said she would use an antagonist protocol with me. I didn't ask her about which meds specifically. She also said she would plan for a freeze all cycle since I have a high chance of OHSS with my PCOS. She said she could probably get 30-40 eggs from me, but she would only fertilize about 10 of them. She said with that, we would get maybe 2-4 embryos. She said she can always thaw more eggs if she needs them to make more embryos, but she doesn't like to have "football teams of embryos" in freeze, which I'm in agreement with. She made me feel so much better about the possibility of IVF.
H and I are on board with the future plan, including IVF should we need it. I need to lose 30lbs before IVF is even an option for us though, so I'm also jumping back on the bandwagon starting Tuesday.
It feels nice to have this behind us and a plan for the future. RE said she doesn't think we'll need IVF, and I hope she's right.

orangehibiscus, so glad to have a plan. I personally didn’t mind IVF. Nothing is predictable. Even your RE can’t predict a fertilization rate or embryo rate. But I’m really hopeful for you. You are able to get pregnant. This seems like a great plan for you!

I'm doing low carb for eating. I was doing really well on it (and had lost almost 15lbs) until this last MC, then I majorly fell off the wagon. I'm also planning on joining a gym for cardio (elliptical is what I like best). I used to Crossfit, but my work schedule made it very difficult to go, so I gave that up at the end of September.

obscureference I'm so sorry for CD1. orangehibiscus I'm so glad you have a good plan, and that you don't have to be benched so long again! Good luck with the weight loss, it's so hard. I'm starting low carb in the new year (waiting to get the goodies out of my house first haha), so if you want an online buddy to diet with I'm there. I did think about asking my OB/GYN to do my u/s but then realized my IUI would most likely fall in the time frame they're still closed anyway. wisco yay!!! So happy for you! Happy and healthy 9 months!

Thank you ap21ril! Good luck with low carb. It can be so tough! I'm in ap21ril and librariangirl! The more help the better! Do we want a separate check in or do we want to just make it a part of our TI/IUI check in?

I would also like to participate in a healthy eating thread! Maybe the IVF ladies would like to, too? A separate thread might be a good way for us to kind of come together since there’s so few ladies on this board, maybe? Sitting waiting for my baseline sono. I’m very happy they could get me in. I was contemplating skipping meds this cycle but decided if they had an appointment that worked, I would go ahead with meds. orangehibiscus I’m so glad you have a good plan. Your RE sounds like she’s taking good care of you.

I agree with obscureference. I think a separate check in thread for healthy eating/weight loss would be great for us and the IVF ladies to have access to. The more support, the better! ap21ril & orangehibiscus
