Does anyone get the fabfitfun box? The winter box looks good and I’m thinking of getting that for sil. We drew names this year so I think I’ll get her that plus pajamas. No, but it always looks fun when celebrities post about it!

vino I second the international outlet converter. Also I got SD a travel toiletry bag that folds out and has a hook to hang on door or towel bar. I love mine more than individual bags.

I've told mh I don't want to exchange gifts this year and for him to just focus on Cadence. MH and I don’t exchange gifts. We may get something we need for the house but that’s about it. My sister & I stopped doing gifts when she started having kids. We just buy for the kids. Or rather we pay each other back for whatever gift we bought them because shipping.

I can’t wrap my head around not exchanging gifts with dh. That’s not throwing shade at all, I know a ton of people do it, but I love giving gifts and I love getting gifts too.
Maybe I’m spoiled? 🤷🏼♀️

We are tight with money this year so minimal gift giving will occur. DH and I aren’t exchanging gifts but will fill each other’s stocking. I will probably spend about $25 on it. Instead of buying my 7 nieces and nephews on my side of the family gifts the kids are doing a gift exchange, so I will only have to buy 2 gifts for them. Then the adults are going to do a white elephant thing. We get a gift for my SIL/BIL, niece, ILs and aunt and uncle on DH’s side. And then of course gifts for the girls.
We usually get aunt/uncle one of those premade food baskets, like with hot cocoa or hickory farms, but this year I’m thinking of switching it up. Not sure what I’ll get them though, they are in their 60s with no kids so they spend their money on everything they ever want.
ILs I’m planning to make birdseed ornaments with the girls and probably a restaurant gift card.
I haven’t really thought too much about what we will do for the rest though.

Maybe I’m spoiled? 🤷🏼♀️ We don't for a couple reasons: 1) we share a bank account so I see everything and the money comes from the same place so why not buy it myself. 2) Dh isn't the best gift giver so I always end up annoyed that I put a lot of thought in. Every so often if there's something we know the other wants we will surprise them. One year he bought me a Nook and another year I got him an IPad. Things we would have a hard time pulling the trigger on ourselves.

DH has been ordering stuff for the kids. I have a giant pile of Amazon boxes that need to be opened. My kids also do a secret Santa with the cousins so we have to pick those names. DH and I do get each other a bunch of stuff. Then we will get my parents, FIL, and my 2 grandmas something and that's pretty much it. Also need teacher gifts. It's a hard year because the 2 oldest each have a teacher and an inclusion teacher in their class and T has a teacher and 2 assistants in the morning but a whole bunch of different teachers for lunch, nap, and afternoon. I may just do cards with holiday scratch offs for all of them.

Maybe I’m spoiled? 🤷🏼♀️ Last year was our first year trying it, and MH knew that I would be so disappointed if I didn't have presents under the tree. Giftgiving is definitely my love language, so I had a hard time with it. I think by saying we're not doing it this year we're sort of a little more focused on buying one or two things that we both would really like instead of going overboard.

Maybe I’m spoiled? 🤷🏼♀️ We typically don't. Mostly because it's such an expensive time of year. Our parents (especially mine) go way overboard so we get a ton of gifts still! C really wants to get MH a red water bottle for some reason so I may get that and a workout shirt just so he has something to open!

Help! I buy for my Godparents and they buy for me. They love their cottage, Michigan State, drinking... they have 3 girls school age/high school. They are in a fued with some of my family so I actually don't see them much now.
I've done a ton of serving pieces/decor for their cottage, Michigan State grill stuff, basket with lots of wines, ect. I'm kinda at a loss. Last year they got us a super thoughtful very time consuming gift so I need to step it up.

That with a delivery of cheese and wine could work.

my Mom just booked a trip the Holy land, Israel and Jordan, so I'm getting her a lot of travel related stuff; pom pom's for her luggage, packing cubes and I think that my brother and I will get her some Israeli currency as well. I'm so excited for her. Any other thoughts or ideas for travel? Good for her for treating herself! I love the travel-themed gift idea. Ideas...Cute passport cover, electrical converter, new travel toiletry bag(s), guidebook(s) on countries she’s visiting... ETA: I see almost all of these have been suggested already. :sad trombone:

DH and I always do presents for each other. He tends to splurge on me, so sometimes I just feel like anything I come up with for him is lame in comparison. This year he'll probably get a new sweater and some casual shirts (since we actually have to dress for the cold now). He mentioned some sort of wireless speaker system recently but I will need to pick his brain a bit on that b/c I can't recall the name or anything. guster , gift-giving is my love language, too. We are actually not exchanging gifts with extended family this year b/c we're all doing a "destination Christmas" and renting a beach house in Charleston. Everyone's buying for the kids but that's it--the plan is to spend the money instead on 'experiences'. It's definitely easier than packing up gifts for 20+ people--and honestly I usually end up with random stuff so it'll save me from making a bunch of exchanges and returns or figuring out how to Goodwill stuff--but I'll admit to missing the idea of shopping for everyone, and of course this is the year I keep seeing stuff while I'm out shopping that would be *perfect for so-and-so!*.

Oh yeah, like I said I totally get why people do it. Dh would probably be thrilled if I said we could do that, he is always saying not to get him anything for Christmas and birthdays. But like guster and flamingo my love language is totally gift giving. I love spoiling people and I love receiving.

LO is getting dh a wallet for Xmas. I got my 2 oldest nephews tshirts, my niece some warm leggings, nephew C a gift card to one of his favorite restaurants, nephew K mine craft things, and the youngest nephew lego batman set.
I won't know what to get LO for Xmas until after his party tomorrow.

Mh sucks at giving and getting, so I prefer we just don't. If I need something I'll get it myself, that way I know it's the right one.

I also get each family member a new ornament. Do you do any particular kind, or just whatever you see/like? A friend of mine collects and gives the Hallmark ornaments. I love giving ornaments, too. I picked up a few when we were up at the Yankee Candle Xmas Village. I think I want to start collecting them for the kids, too--get them one each every Christmas and then when they go out to start their own households some day I will pass the collection on. Orrrr more likely I'll be to attached to all those ornaments and will just give them a box of cheapies from Target and an invitation to visit their ornaments at my house

I think most of you know I love gift giving, but I got out of hand. There’s a huge national charity event in the week leading up to Christmas over here. Last year people were talking about there donations whilst sitting in mountains of presents that cost way more. It didn’t feel right. So this year we’re scaling it way down, by each doing secret Santa for one other person. We’ve agreed to still get a few little things for the kids, but they also get plenty around Sinterklaas. I just found out my best friend is having a girl, so I get to speak my language there and make an amazing gift basket!
ETA I’m am a little bit sad that I don’t get to wrap things pretty...

I do whatever they're into and write the year. So a firetruck or tractor ornament. First year I do a personalized babies 1st Christmas one. This year I'll probably do a superhero one for C and a horse for L.
