Today is Cadence's Thanksgiving lunch. I'll leave work at 10:45 and then I'm taking the rest of the day off. I cancelled Cadence's class cupcake order yesterday and reordered from HEB. Target couldn't tell me what they would look like and they kept confusing cake and cupcake, so I didn't want to risk it. So today I'll head to party city to get some decorations to put on top of the HEB ones.

guster, it will just need to run it's course, unfortunately. Stay away from "p" foods.

I read that recently, too. My mom and I said the same thing, although I do think it improves as it goes. I have a Nook (that I rarely use), no Kindle. So you read like actual books? Paper, flipping pages? Yep. I’m not kidding when I say that I’m old-school, lol. I just prefer actual books (unless I’m traveling—then the Nook is easier). Plus my mom and I both read a good bit so we trade them back and forth.

I have to go to the doctor today to do a follow up of my physical. I looked at all of my labs last night and everything is in range, but I know he's going to tell me that I need to lose weight to be healthier. I'm all for it. But because I know it's coming tonight at 4:30 I'd like to eat my face off until then. I want pizza and a roast beef and cheese sandwich and some really creamy soup from Panera. I won't do it, but I certainly am thinking about it. I'm not sure if I've seen a full body picture of you, but in pictures I have seen you don't look like you have weight to lose! And you just prompted me to plan on ordering Panera for lunch...

Tmi alert -- So I have never dealt with diarrhea with the kids (just another instance where I feel like I'm parenting for the first time with Charlie). I kept his breakfast pretty plain-- he ate dry Cheerios and a half of a cheese stick, and a sippy cup that was 95% water plus capful of grapefruit juice (all totally the norm), but we were dealing with another full diaper 15 minutes after he finished. Aside from the probiotic, do I just let this run its course or is there something else I can do to help him? He's drinking so plenty of wet diapers, no fever, and acting fine. Ideas? Is there a chance he has a nut allergy? For diarrhea feed them rice, banana, cheese. Those all block you up

joelies S party is this Saturday and I just got an RSVP this morning. I have a handful of people that didn't RSVP, and if they all show up, I will not have enough "goodie bags" I may have to run out and get a few extra bags to stock. I, too, thought I would have very few kids, and I only have 4 "nos" (I invited his whole class - like 18 kids, plus 4 kids from the next class up that he is close with, plus 5 family friend kids). There are 4 or 5 kids from his class that have yet to RSVP, and I don't know their last names so I can not reach out.

Morning all!
The mornings are going smoothly and I’m making good time for drop offs, even caught the early bus today! Oooh how I’ve missed taking the bus, 30 minutes to chill and play on my phone.

E woke up in the middle of the night with some kind of nightmare and crying that he didn't want to go to school. I told him he wouldn't go to school age trying to explain it was the middle of the night. Of course he remembered this morning when he woke up. Sorry kid, we got work to do. But he seemed ok with it and didn't put up a fight.

My eating is typically pretty clean, but I indulge far more than I should be in fatty/salty goods, and my portions are too big. MH was given the same scenario in August. He cut out all sweets and processed snacks, and eats a low gi/gl diet, and he lost 30 pounds as of last week. I'm glad I'll have a partner in this as the weeks get tough.

I still like actual books but it’s more convenient to read on my app. For vacations I buy paperbacks though. Don’t have to worry about running down my battery on the plane and I do not want sand in it from the beach.

@sunny, I don't think so because he's had multiple nuts in the past, but i'm sure an allergy can sneak up on you anytime. It's definitely something to watch for.

I am strictly real book. But, that may be because I don't have a reading device.

guster I give lots of bananas and rice cereal mixed into applesauce. It firms up his poop. Depends how bad the bug is though. This works most of the time, but when he had rotovirus then developed the milk allergy nothing worked.

This works most of the time, but when he had rotovirus then developed the milk allergy nothing worked. I'll try anything. He's definitely not going to let me feed him, so it'll be a messy lunch and dinner, but it'll be worth it. So I'm guessing sticking to the BRAT diet is appropriate for any age with this kind of tummy issue.

guster, H had the same thing a couple weeks ago. He was actin pretty normal, no fever but so. Much. Poop. He wouldn’t eat as much as normal, mostly just wanted softer foods so I thought maybe it was teeth. He still has no new teeth to show for it so it was probably a bug. It lasted about 48 hours

Last night I was worried about n getting sick so she went to bed early. She woke up feeling better, just a runny nose. H on the other hand, is a snotty mess with one goopy eye so I’m keeping him home with me today. My car is getting detailed today so we are stuck home with no car. But I am really excited for a clean car!
My rent the runway dresses should be here today so I’ll have to try them on and figure out how I’m going to do my hair for the gala.

Morning! We have a busy day ahead. We are going to run to the grocery store to get cookies for H to bring to school with her. Then I need to run to the mall to get one last thing for her birthday outfit, I am so behind the ball this year. Then H has school this afternoon.

I asked my sister to make a vinyl iron on for H’s birthday shirt with her cricut at the beginning of oct. She texted me last night that she would be putting it in the mail today...H’s party is in 2 days. I’m super annoyed about this. I gave her plenty of notice and she still waited until the last minute.

Josie's fever has been normal all morning, and she hasn't really coughed, but she sounds awful. Like an 80-year-old smoker. I Motrin her up and send her to school, right? It's only 2 1/2 hours. I'm totally second-guessing myself on this one.

OMG, I'm so embarrassed. MH called L's dr yesterday because she has a rash and had gotten the hep A vaccine the day before. First they told him she didn't get the hep A, just flu. That's wrong so he called back and didn't get a call back. The rash spread and he called again and left a message for the nurse and went off on them apparently saying he didn't know what the nurse had been smoking and he would like a competent nurse to call him back. So that's all recorded in her chart. That's not like MH, he's usually really level headed. I told him to please keep it together and be respectful when they call back! I mean, you can be frustrated and state your frustrations, but be an adult about it!!!

I haven't had a one piece, but that's a super cute suit. JCrew factory outlet is also online, so you may want to check there too.
