Does anyone have these Crate and barrel dishes? Thoughts? I'd like to get my parents new dishes, 10-12 place settings. These are very affordable and I like the simplicity. Wondering if they're nice though! The ones I originally wanted to get them are out of my budget. m.crateandbarrel.com/dinnerware-collections/essential-dinnerware/I don't have that particular style, but I have white every day dishes from there and they're great. Very heavy, though.

klong11 maybe your blood sugar crashing? I just ripped off a giant Band-aide. I uploaded my resume to indeed and applied for two jobs. I’m all sweaty now. I haven’t worked in an office since 2004. Or interviewed for a job since 2001. I’m scared. You’ll do great. You’re very friendly and will be awesome in an interview.

Fingers crossed something comes across with more money. And we figure out how to juggle me working out of the house full time and after school care for Carter.

My grandma was taken to the hospital today. According to my dad she's fine they are just admitting her to ICU for a few days. My sister is going there to find out what's really up.
My principal had the kids write me notes when I got hurt last week. I only got through 3 so far because they were making me cry.
I did get a call that the lady who hit my car in September was found 100% responsible and I will be getting my deductible refunded so that's good.

I'm still in the salon chair. I had to take a couple breaks early on. I was having weird hot flashes, I thought I was going to.vomit, I had to step outside and dip water, then I was drenched in sweat. So crazy. It passed after awhile and the girl brought a fan by her chair to keep me cool. So weird. How odd. You are following up with your dr about how weird you've been feeling, right? Glad you're feeling better. I have my appointment with the rheumatologist tomorrow morning. I'll mention it to him and leave a note for my pcp in MyChart.

So we've met the criteria for tubes but since his ears looked clear today, he's talking, and hearing seems fine we opted to wait and see how this cold/flu season goes. The ENT wrote an order for surgery so if he gets another EI I can call right away and get it scheduled.
Since Dude's tubes are still in, he's afraid they might damage the eardrum so I scheduled a visit so they can take a look. If they haven't fallen out in the next couple months we'll need surgery to remove his.

Oh, and no cavity. The dentist said his teeth look fine so maybe he just had a canker sore?
Who knows.

Everyone else probably thought about this already, but just be careful if you order big things for the kids for Christmas. We ordered a kitchen set and it didn't come in a packing box, so C immediately saw it and all the pictures on the box. Ugh.

Hopefully he'll forget about it (but probably not, b/c kids this age seem to have memories like a steel trap ) Maybe you can convince him it's for someone else? I have noticed that several gifts I've looked at this year have warnings that they come in packaging that will indicate the contents. I know it's tough with big toys (I'm dreading the arrival of the Gator from my ILs) so guess we're going to have to be extra sneaky.

Guess I'll have the pedi take a peek at his 4 yr. appt and see if we need to be referred to someone up here. I don't remember our ENT at home ever mentioning that his tubes would need to be removed, but I know several ppl here have mentioned it as a possibility.

I told him it was for my niece, but now he really wants it and is trying to convince me it's for him! Luckily at least it's a gift for both kids from us and I hadn't planned on it being a Santa gift!

I had my conference with Col's teacher and it went great. They just did their first round of their preK assessments and she said he had one of the highest scores in the class and more importantly, that he's quickly closing the emotional gap with his older classmates. He's got his moments but he really is such a good kid overall and it was great to hear it from his teacher.
Now Chase, on the other hand, has discovered the joy of staring his teacher down while he does whatever she just told him not to, LOL.

Hotels in Chicago are super cheap the days after Christmas. I booked us 3 days at a 4* with free parking. It's free cancellation so we aren't set on it. But mh and I are trying to figure out if we do a family trip or just a getaway the 2 of us. I'd actually rather a family trip if we are going to go all the way to Chicago.

I don't want another dog, but Josie asks every other day, and I do want my kids to grow up with dogs, so I'm sure it's in our near future

When your child is playing quietly in the other room, she's probably creating "makeup" with a paintbrush and a stamp pad. Oh, just mine?

I'm excited to get a dog someday. When we have a yard. And when we have time to take care of it.. so basically never. I wouldn't mind a Springer spaniel sized dog or a beagle..otherwise I want a poodle, doodle, Portuguese water dog, golden retriever, etc.
