I called the dr's office. The receptionist said the results are back but still not reviewed. I told her I was concerned because M was throwing up again. She promised me someone would call me back today. I'm still going to call again in an hour...they're going to hate me. You are not being annoying, you are being an advocate for M. You keep calling until you are satisfied with the information you have. And keep calling if you need to get her in for more appts. And remember that it isn't because you are traveling and she misses you. I know it will be difficult away while this is happening but it isn't separation anxiety.

tgrimes not annoying. Advocating. Keep calling. Good morning! Lucas came in and slept at the foot of our bed last night, like a puppy. I about had a heart attack when I woke up from a deep sleep and realized that someone had a hand on my leg even though dh was snoring next to me, lol. I have an ob app this morning, and hopefully they have my three hour test results because I’m over stressing about it.

I won't say how much this is costing me. Def. more than $60. 😋 I assume you're doing color too? Or no? Yeah, I need my blue taken back up to the roots, plus more sections added, which requires bleaching, then all over brown/black on everything else, plus 3-5 inches off and relayered.

Tipping question, my hair girl was on her own. Had her own space and no employees. My cuts were 60 bucks and I didn’t tip bc she was the owner. Then she raised her rates to 75. Then she moved to a salon but is just renting a chair. She doesn’t work for the owner (who is her best friend) BUT they do manage her calendar. I think I already know the answer to this question but I gotta tip 20% now, don’t I?

I am so over being cold and it's only November. Since surgery I am cold all the time (normal from what I hear). Add that to working in old buildings and I am frozen. I have a space heater in one of my offices but apparently need a second one for the other office so I don't freeze to death.
Booked my fast passes this morning and I did really good. I'm glad that's behind me. I also designed our Christmas Card and sent to DH for final approval. Lastly I had my phone interview with the Lab rescue. It went well, obviously, and I should have approval within the next 48 hours. I am approved for a dog or two 6mos plus due to our work schedule but if we wanted a younger pup, we just need to discuss our plan for midday visits/daycare with the counselor. Ideally I want a 1-4yo adult already housetrained. We won't be ready until February at the earliest due to our Disney trip but I'm happy to have the approval out of the way. At this point I'm just hopeful Max makes it through the holidays. I came home to a large amount of vomit and he's been pooping out of the box:(
Long story short, I have done little to no actual work today but feel super productive! I plan to leave after my 4pm meeting and C and I are having dinner at my parents tonight. I'm excited for a nice home cooked meal.

I'm trying to remember what I wore to the kids dr appointment last week so I don't wear the same thing today. As if anyone will even remember me specifically, let alone what I wore...

I'm afraid Dude has a cavity. He's complaining about sensitivity with one of his teeth. Pete's taking him to the dentist this afternoon.
I have a short work day so I can get X over for his initial ENT visit. He's had the requisite number of ear infections for the consult but I'd be surprised if they said he has any fluid or lingering infection. We'll see.

I was reading an article about hairstylist tipping recently--I did not know that not tipping the owner was a 'thing' until I started reading the comments. At my salon in Jax, I saw the owner and I tipped her 20% like I would anyone else. FWIW, the article said to tip everyone, even the owner. Maybe this is a regional thing, who knows.

I always assumed that his husky side makes him an asshole though. As he eats a sucker C has been saving for a week cause he's so excited about it...

I would have thought tip 20% no matter what as well, I've never gone to someone who owns the salon though.

The xray showed a crap ton of poop in her intestines but no real obstruction, per se. Labs showed no real cause for concern. They want a urinalysis to rule out a UTI. Appraently the lab told MH to bring the pee back to our next appt. The dr wanted it ASAP though. So here's to hoping M will pee in a cup and they can take it to the dr before I need to go to the airport.
A UTI would make sense since she holds her pee so much.

I failed the three hour. I’m shocked and pissed and fucking devastated. Noooo! Unicorn I'm so sorry. What's the plan going forward? I have to meet with a specialist and get testing supplies and test four times a day to see what my triggers are. The things they tell you to do to control it (diet, exercise) I already do. I just feel so frustrated and like my body is failing. Like I eat incredibly healthy with the occasional splurge on Starbucks or ice cream and I workout 5 days a week. At my appointment last week I had only gained 9 lbs total, but I usually put on weight in the third tri. I cleaned up my diet to 100% this past week in anticipation of the test (really watched my carbs and sugar) and lost two lbs. I’m just so upset and I know I can’t control the pregnancy hormones that are making my body not process sugar/carbs right, but I can’t stop crying.

xolastunicornxo it's your placenta, not you. You can do everything right and still get GD. Try to take it easy on yourself.

:ears perk up: Someone wants a lab? I have one, y'all can fight over her. Never. Again. LOL. Lol. I was waiting for this...ILY I know, I'm terrible. I mean, God love her, she's a good dog in a lot of ways, we are just not big dog people. We both grew up with small dogs and it was my H's dream to have a lab--I think he envisioned taking her out on the boat, hunting with her, etc. And then marriage and kids and we sold the boat and moved all over and she is just A LOT to deal with. Maybe if I just had a huge piece of property that she could have her run of, it would be great, but b/n the shedding, the toenails on wood floors, the logistics (esp. b/c we like to travel so much), the expense, and making sure she gets enough mental and physical exercise...I will never have a dog this size again. She's 6 but has the energy of a puppy. She's probably going to outlive us all and will give the eulogy at my funeral.
