I'm sorry, xolastunicornxo, that just sucks. But it's not your fault and hopefully you can pinpoint your triggers quickly.

I love al dogs but a big one with lots of hair would not be my first pick.
Our chihuahuas are Pete's dogs, but I became their person. People are always surprised that they were Pete's because I guess they think it's weird for a guy to like teeny dogs? Everyone always assumed I made him get chihuahuas or something.
We do talk about rescuing a retired greyhound but they're awful big and I don't see us ever having enough space. Not for decades anyway.
Maybe we'll adopt an Italian greyhound.

I was writing an hour or so ago but got distracted and went to Walmart instead. I HATE that place, but where else is close to work and will allow me to pick up an umbrella, pull-ups, extra kid gloves and a handful of other kids' staples over my lunch hour? At least it was a productive visit.
Work is still driving me batty but at least I have an excuse to leave at 5. Col's teacher is doing quick 15 minute conferences with parents to give feedback on how the kids are doing. She's supposed to let me know what he needs to work on throughout the year and then she'll be doing the conferences again in about 6 months. She already knows kindergarten is a big question mark for us, so I'm very curious to talk to her one-on-one.

flamingo lol about your dog. So you tip your stylist 20% and then find/tip the owner 20% on the same service? I'm so confused. I give 20% and assume she has to share tips with hair washer, etc. I have no idea who the owner is but assume costs are built into haircut price. Related, I got my haircut last week and they changed the tip on card rule and only had 15%, I was horrified and need to take more cash back when she works later this week.

Ugh annoying day at work. I have a magazine deadline on Friday and had to postpone it because other people won’t do what they should. Plus my co-worker keeps accepting extra work and then loads it on to other people’s work loads without consulting. And we’ve had to tell someone her contract won’t be renewed after April. She’s very sweet, but not pro-active, a bit slow and even after a year triple checks every single move she makes. She was upset and now I feel guilty. Rant over.

Our first apartment after we got married, our neighbors had 2 retired grey hounds and I asked how they did in such a small place. She said they take retirement VERY SERIOUSLY! They do not move off the couch/bed unless you drag them out to potty. I thought that was funny. She even had coats and boots for them. They're such thin animals, they freeze. They had heated blankets on the couch so it was always warm for them.

I need an itemized breakdown of my haircut! I guess I do it this way bc when I waited tables we had to tip out bussers, bartenders, etc. I probably am doing it wrong. That does make sense about the owner being the cutter..

Took forever to get my nails done but they look great. It's a family place and the son just started working there full time now and he's the best.

It's always my stylist.

No, lol, the owner was also my stylist; I tipped her 20% like I would a regular stylist/Non-owner (I had read where some ppl don’t tip their stylist if s/he is also the owner). ETA: I see guster clarified. Also, if someone else washes my hair, I usually tip $2-3. Typically my stylist shampooed me, tho.

It's adorable and has it's own little pool. Aaaand I just told my coworker and she informed me she's on vacation that whole week too. Crap. She never put it on the PTO calendar so it was clear. WTF.

Y’all will love Captiva. I meant to post earlier, my dad didn’t really have any specifics on it. When the time comes, if you need restaurant recs let me know! ETA: TP to your co-irker. So what happens now?

The xray showed a crap ton of poop in her intestines but no real obstruction, per se. Labs showed no real cause for concern. They want a urinalysis to rule out a UTI. Appraently the lab told MH to bring the pee back to our next appt. The dr wanted it ASAP though. So here's to hoping M will pee in a cup and they can take it to the dr before I need to go to the airport. A UTI would make sense since she holds her pee so much. do you still have a potty training chair? We had one that Evie sat on, so she peed into a bowel basically. Do you have something like that for H that you could ask M to use for a time or two?

flamingo, I'm not sure. There's a chance we'd both get approved but it would just be annoying knowing things aren't being done right since we are usually each other's backups. I'm looking at moving ours up 2 weeks just to avoid trouble. I wish she would have said something yesterday when I told her I was looking at places!

The Waldorf school ds attends would probably fall in the crunchy category for most of you ladies, f.e. kids drink herbal tea and they bake there own bread every Thursday, which imo is adorable. However Dh is currently attending a parent conference where they’re making at wooden advent calendar as Sinterklaas gift for the kids. Dh is a very introvert person (I know weird considering he’s a teacher), he’s dying a slow painful death having to craft and meet other parents.

Very few people understand how hr can teach all day and be an introvert.

guster it’s so weird, it’s like he flips a switch or something! His voices changes and he is a teacher. He’ll never ask someone for directions, I order for both of us in a restaurant, I deal with our contractor etc.

Yesterday M's teacher sent home a turkey for us to color and disguise. I told MH they could work on it today. M has decided she wants to do this:
