I really want to take the girls to Disney world some day. I’ve never been, but I went to Land when I was like 3. I don’t remember it at all. It probably won’t happen for like 5 years minimum.

We have a portal too, but I've never looked at it. I can look at their (and my) full charts since I work in the health system. It's nice! They allow you to do that? It’s a fireable offense at my hospital to go into your chart or anyone you’re related to. Against HIPPA they say. I think it's probably only permissible because she is the guardian/responsible party. Like it's fine since it's her kids but obviously she couldn't look at her husband's, sister's, parents, etc.

ETA: I could request a copy of the chart from the clinic, but I can’t just go in on the computer whenever I want.

We use EPIC systems at my hospital/clinics. Their mychart site/app is great. From the website I can see visit notes, growth charts, all appointments, schedule, virtual visits, message care providers. App is an abbreviated version of that. I have gone in and printed off H’s immunizations for preschool/daycare.

I'm locked out of mine too. They block you from accessing your own or any known relatives. I’m not locked out but they have some sort of alert on it that would inform IT. When I worked at the clinic I had to do a recall letter for one of the nurses in the clinic. The protocol was that I had to send an email to the director of the clinic and my supervisor so they knew I had a legitimate reason to be in there. They don’t want coworkers to look into charts either.

This is funny. I got a new humidifier for the girls’ room. This is printed on the bottom of the water tank: Crazy essential oil users.

We're not supposed to look up our own (or family of course), but people look up their own all the time. They want us to go through the medical record office and get it from there. I always just printed a record I needed. But I've never been dumb enough to look up other records I have no business being in. One year we had a really stupid intern who looked up the record of someone who found himself all over the news for criminal behavior. Obviously since it was high profile it was being monitored who was in his chart and this idiot had no reason to be in there. I don't know what happened to him but he was in a lot of trouble.

Other than that, yes it's against HIPPA and a fireable offense.

Our high profile charts have a stop thing on them that you have to fill out why you’re in there before you can see anything. Since I was in ortho and general surgery I had to go in those charts sometimes. Makes you feel very nervous.

tallb and inthekitty we surprised the boys with DL last year and it was amazing. We had been at my in laws house in Cali and we told them we were heading home to AZ but instead took them to dl. One of the best trips ever. Okay, this just solidifies for me how much fun this will be. We're also going to be at my parents house the weekend before and then flying out from Oregon instead of driving home. They will flip out. Now I just need to find a way to not say anything to them for 2.5 more months.

We don't have high profile charts as a whole in our system, but all behavioral health notes are "sensitive" and you have to click an extra box to review them. I always thought that was really stupid and in direct conflict with the idea of reducing behavioral health stigma. Yet I can clearly see in the system when I'm scrolling through past records that someone has been diagnosed with an STD 4 times in the past year. Ew.

I don’t think I even have access to behavioral health records. I know when I am working workqueues and need to fix something in them it will tell me not available. Same with child’s voice (which is for abuse victims, etc). You being a provider probably have a lot more access than someone in registration though.

Do they make hampers with padlocks to keep MILs from touching your dirty clothes even after you repeatedly tell her to please not? You know, cause who wants their MIL touching their dirty underwear and whatever else you have in your hamper? Just curious...

Seems like it would solve a few problems.

We should start locking it more often though. MH leaves after me and forgets.

You should get a couple copies of the key and then keep them on your keychains and in the house somewhere that your ILs don’t know about. Lock before you leave.

It's the same lock that also is on C's door and the bathroom so we have to keep a key, but I could get a different lock. I still worry MH won't remember to lock it and then the kids will lock themselves in there though. I'm overthinking it though I think!

I just caught up and had many comments but forgot them all.
Last day of training. We went to a fancy seafood lunch and then I worked my butt off all afternoon. It was good though. Tonight I've been running around like crazy trying to get stuff together for our little trip to Boston tomorrow. We had laundry and dishes piling up and C needed a bath. I'm happy to report Dh just got home and is doing bedtime. I plan to eat a sub, watch tv, and hopefully sleep in a tiny bit tomorrow before we head out. I can't wait but it's going to be frigid.

I used to work for a company that had a bunch of hospital labs. One particular hospital was kind of fancy and near the Playboy Mansion, and everyone involved with that place would go there for their draws. STD tests, I have seen many.

We got Millie’s school pictures back this week. I️ love her crooked smile Also, I’m having massive DL fomo. I️ hope we can take the kids soon. I️ feel like we are always so broke. I️ am determined to go somewhere fun for spring break this year. As for sick/well visits I️ do 100% of them. Although I️ Work from Home so it’s super easy. If/when I️ get a new job adam will likely have more flexibility than me to take them. But I️ have control issues with that kind of thing.

If they let me go straight to L&D instead of sitting in the ER, this wouldn't have happened. I had stomach issues Sunday night, then DH did Tuesday night. DS1 didn't finish his CFA yesterday which he always does because he said his stomach hurt.

My classpass month ends tomorrow. I have done 1/3 classes I've paid for. I signed up for a 6am pure Barre class. I already regret this. Why am I so lazy that I can't do 3 classes in a month? Maybe I should do a barre3 class at lunchtime to torture myself.

I'm so annoyed with h. I asked him Tuesday to dins someone to hang Christmas lights this week. He emailed two people (which I found for him) and hasnt attempted to follow up any other way.
I fb msgd 3 companies tonight and am already talking to one about pricing. Don't worry dude, I'll take care of this shit too. You have nothing else to do, but I'll do this too. It's cool.

Something about these class pictures this year that are making all the kids seem so much older.
I love watching all of them grow up, they’re all so cute.
