This morning was worse than yesterday in terms of kids getting up at super awful hours. I only have circle time scheduled for today so that gives me the flexibility to be militant with naps in hopes of getting the kids back on track.
I hope Monday treats you well!

Tired E was up at 4:30. We also lowered the crib to the last level and now I can't get her down smoothly. Sigh. Short people problems. I hope naps go well today & Lakes.

Ugh sorry @peaseblossom and Lakes for awful sleep schedules. I can't complain compared to that. C slept for 12 hrs last night, buuuuuut it was with 3 wake ups. She went down just before 7, woke up around 11, 3, 5 and 7 for real. So I guess she got a lot of sleep, I on the other hand, didn't. Work today, then going to try to get to the gym and food shopping. I need to stop being a fat fatty.

peaseblossom55, re the pre-nap bottle... Maybe try swapping it out with a sippy of water.

My kids did worse this morning too Lakes. And I had to fight hard to keep M awake until her nap times. I can definitely commiserate with the crib issues peaseblossom55. I feel like I end up dumping my kids in there. Oh man a full weekend of solo parenting is intense judyblume14! Enjoy the solitude of work and hopefully you'll have an easy evening tonight. You've earned it!

Everyone was up at 5:45. Improvement! 🎉🎉
I'm voting this morning and then ds has his first play date inside someone's home. We've only done backyard, playground, or other public spaces up until now. It's one of the moms I've known since ds went to baby circle time but we've never hung out outside of the library. I'm a little nervous but at least dd will be a good distraction.

I early voted but am nervous about the outcome of the big mayoral and school board races here. It's pretty much a guaranteed runoff for the mayor spot though.
I'm home alone for half an hour before a dentist appt and it is glorious! Except I'm spending it pumping haha.
How's breastfeeding going for those still in? I feel like M nurses for half the time she used to which is causing my pumping output to plummet even more and me to stress that she's not getting enough. Anybody else in this boat? 9 more weeks until whole milk!

carrots I haven't pumped in awhile but dd is a super distracted nurser right now so our nursing sessions are shorter. I know that how full you feel doesn't really indicate anything but my slacker boob doesn't feel full in the morning. My overachiever boob always feels super full in the morning and dd prefers that one throughout the day so I do wonder.

Lakes, pump. the. brakes. Are you stepping out on your neighbor-mom-wife for a new love? carrots, I mentioned a couple weeks ago that my pumping output at work is plummeting? I have gone from freezing a bag every day, to pulling one or two bags from the freezer every day to use! This weekend, I felt like she barely nursed at all, was also afraid she was starving. But I offered every couple hours. Then I think she drank one less bottle than normal at daycare yesterday... or they just forgot to put the empty bottle in our bag? I don't know, I'm trying not to stress...

carrots, we are still EBF here, but C LOVES food. When she was sick last week she had no interest in solids and nursed for 3-4 days straight but now she's back to eating a ton of food. My pump output is also awful. My morning pump I'm lucky if I get 2 oz anymore, where it used to be a guaranteed 4-5 oz in the am. It's funny because sometimes I still feel full, but I have pumped like crap this whole journey. She can still eat for a while after I've pumped the same boob so while I'm sure my supply is less, I think it's more of a pumping issue here.

The kids woke up at 8 today, I'm so glad I shifted their schedules over the last 2 weeks! I had planned to take the kids to an open gym this morning but I forgot about it until just now. We still have time but I'd have to rush and I really don't think I want to. No other plans today, maybe we will take a walk before it gets too hot outside.

I give you nursing/pumping mamas so much credit. I haven't ever nursed a baby over 12 weeks and pumping never ever yielded more than drops for me. ETA: posted too soon. Anyway good job mamas!

Yes judyblume14! Exact same. I'm using 1-2 bags from the freezer a day which I started a month or so ago. Thank goodness it's there. This weekend I started giving her a bottle of pumped milk from the freezer during the day too in addition to her lackadaisical nursing hoping to get some extra calories in. I'm officially counting down to her birthday so this can be out of my head and I'll switch to only nursing in the morning.

Hi everyone! I say this every time, but I am a terrible lurker. I really don't know why :/ I don't have a ton going on lately so there's really no excuse. Updates on us: W is getting bigger and bigger He LOVES to walk around, with assistance but that seems to be getting less and less at least, while he maneuvers around furniture. He also loves all things food related. The only times he's really upset seem to revolve around not being fed fast enough or watching other people eat while he has to wait.

judyblume14 I had a playground date with corner neighbor yesterday! All of this socializing recently exploded. I think it's because the kids are old enough to actually play with each other now. The play date went well! I'm glad I got it out of the way. Oh anxiety, you flare up over such random things.

Wow hats off to everyone still pumping and nursing.
It's been a crazy day. I slept awful only because of H's snoring. I'm ready for bed.

I have the toddler rage. Just try one bite of your dinner! One! I do not want to make you something else. It's cheese ravioli you monster! It's delicious and perfect for a rainy day. If you took one bite I know you'd like it. Grrrrrr. I miss the boy that would eat everything.

Just wanted to pop in and say i would like to join the toddler rage support group. We've been having a really rough go of it lately. I drive to work in tears every morning and dread going home because I know my evening will be full of the 3 yo being a jerk to me.

Lakes, I just had that conversation with my cousin about how C eats everything I put in front of her. She said enjoy it because my kid is down to grilled cheese and hot dogs 🙄 carrots, I hope the hitting stops! judyblume14, omg, I'm so sorry you're having such a rough go. All you toddler moms are making me rethink the idea of having another. OAD is sounding so much more appealing. MH and I spent a few hrs in the ER again last night. He had a 105 fever that I couldn't get down with Tylenol and cold rags on pressure points. I tried getting him in a lukewarm bath, it was 80 degrees but he said felt like ice. It was 104.5 after an hour so off we went. Chest X-ray and strep test were both fine so it's probably whatever C had last week and just has to run its course. I haven't slept more than 3 hrs stretch since last Tuesday and I'm completely exhausted and irritable.

Toddler rage here too. DD has been in rare form. I thought it might be a combo of Halloween hangover and lack of sleep due to DST but, it’s persisting. She’s a real peach lately. The whining is almost unbearable.
Someone lie to me and tell me year 4 is easier than 3.

Hi guys. I'm sorry I haven't contributed today. My mom just texted me from her oncologist office. She has legions on her brain. She had the tumor that they removed in may and now she has more. I'm a mess. We've known for a while cancer is what is going to take her but it is so devastating for it to be a reality. I'm sorry, I know this is heavy I just don't know where else to go.

meeggaannw, I'm so sorry. I lost my mom to cancer 6 years ago and am still at a loss for words whenever someone is going through the same thing. Remind me - do you live close to your parents?
