I've been traveling so I forgot to respond but if you love the pink, go with it peaseblossom55! I think E is more of a pink girl anyway. There are some things I won't put my kids in even if it fits the holiday or season because it doesn't seem like it's them. That dress reminds me of the sugar plum fairies. Thanks now I want it even more!

The other month sil was bragging about my nephew sleeping through the night while I was in the thick of awful sleep with dd and doctor orders to feed her every time she woke. It was so hard not to "just you wait" her. Well, my nephew is 4 months now and she's complaining about getting up 4-5 times. I should feel sympathetic but she keeps going on and on about how her 4 month old weighs more than my 9 month old too so I'm kind of:

Also, she has a $400 mailbox on her Christmas list. What does it do that a $25 mailbox doesn't?! Will it open my mail and deliver it to my desk? Does it automatically pay the bills? I don't understand.

peaseblossom55 I thought of you this morning after feeding M raspberries while she was wearing white leggings. I'm sure you know how that ended! Flu shot part 2 for M today and I think I'll take them to an indoor play place. I'm feeling stir crazy and lazy all at the same time. I don't do winter well.

Deep cleaning my kitchen today, but I have spaghetti brain. I start one thing, and before I finish it I start something else. I have about 8 things going at once right now, in 3 different rooms. I can see why it drives mh crazy. My current solution is to sit in the playroom for 15 minutes with my coffee and watch my kiddos play together.

Life is so busy. I've been a bad internet friend. I'm here.
The next few days are busy, then I'm in Switzerland on work from Saturday night through Wed night. I'm not looking forward to flying back into the US on the day before Thanksgiving, but it can't be avoided.
B said "mama" when I picked him up from the crib the other day. Then when I brought him in our room and he saw DH he said "dada". He's since only repeated "dada", but I'm claiming mama as his first word.

I just checked my wonder weeks app for the first time in a while. B is in Leap 7. Which means nothing to me other than she doesn't sleep anymore. Wahhhhh.

Lakes, 😂😂😂 at the grinch and $400 mailbox. What DOES a $400 mailbox even look like?? judyblume14, solidarity on the not sleeping babies. C isn't in leap 7 yet, but ever since she was sick she's been up every few hours and IMPOSSIBLE to put to sleep. Tonight she went to bed at 8, babbled to herself til 930, fell asleep only to wake screaming at 10 for a poop. Cleaned her, nursed her, put her back in bed and it took another hour and a half to get her solidly asleep (I think). I think it has to do with crawling, just pulling up to standing for the first time and being a snot factory. Whatever it is, it needs to be over.

pibblemom it looks like a regular mailbox!! I guess the brackets are more decorative but you could buy them at the hardware store for $20. Today is haircut day for ds. I've outsourced it to fil since ds will be better behaved for his grandpop. It's pretty shaggy right so I'm scared to see how much older he looks with a fresh haircut ðŸ˜

Lakes I'm always amazed how grown up little boys look with a fresh haircut. It's like an immediate growth spurt. I've FINALLY found godparents and can get moving on Cs baptism. We decided combining with birthday party, especially for winter babies, is ideal and guests will appreciate it. We will be doing it on her actual birthday, so now I can let the Pinterest birthday search commence! Also, I have a super crafty 2nd cousin so maybe I'll just let her decorate 😂 thinking about it makes me exhausted

I just invited a mom over for a play date. It's the one who had us over last week. Now I'm nervous, what if that toddler hates my toy selection?! I know any new toy that's not theirs is exciting for a toddler but obviously I'm still going to overthink this because that's my M.O.

Good morning! It was mh's turn to get the baby this morning and he moved to the couch in the middle of the night. He took the monitor with him but let the baby cry so long this morning that I came out to see why. He was making a bottle so I went to grab r and when I came out mh gave me the bottle and said he was laying back down. Seriously?! It was supposed to be my late morning.

Ugh meeggaannw, sorry YH didn't hold up his end of the deal. Years ago when MH and I were talking about kids we said we would swap nights etc. Then reality happened and he has never gotten up in the MOTN or morning 🙄

Ugh, so frustrating meeggaannw. I’ve never tried to implement a sleep-in system with DH because I’m 100% certain it’d lead to disappointment and fighting. Plus, DH can’t be quiet for his life so as soon as he’s up, I’m up. I left DH mid-dinner with both kids. I’m on my way to Switzerland until Wednesday for work. Please pray for DD and B lol.

Woah ellabee Switzerland, that sounds amazing! Have you been there before? Just in the Geneva airport on my way to the French alps. This time its for work, so there’s not much time for sightseeing. I am looking forward to a hotel room all by myself though! And the chocolate of course.

Trading mornings is one of the top 5 reasons I'm looking forward to being done with breastfeeding. We had an amazing system going with DS but now that I have to feed M every morning, I angrily stomp around to make sure H knows how annoyed I am to be up first.

Mh keeps trying to change things around in my kitchen. No. Stop. Get out of my kitchen. Do not move the toaster. Pick something that actually needs to be worked on, like cleaning the closet of doom.
We had early thanksgiving with mh's family. Sil was sil. She's been complaining about my nephew's very dry and scratchy skin. Maybe he has sensitive skin, maybe it's the change in weather, or maybe it's his dairy allergy. I don't know but I recommended coconut oil when she asked my opinion. But guys, it's not his allergy because she makes a big show on social media of using almond milk and eating dairy free ice cream. Then I watched her eat three side dishes that were heavy on dairy. And heaven help me if she says "your kid is special", as in "special ed", one more time in her snide and insulting tone when he does something silly and toddlery.
Also, I have a cold and am extra grumpy. I think I'll steal a humidifier from one of the kid's rooms tonight.

I hope your work trip goes well ellabee. Enjoy starfishing all alone in that bed! meeggaannw Dd was up a lot last night with low level whining. Mh slept through everything. I don't understand how they can sleep through it or not pick up a crying baby while they get something ready. 🙄

A few months ago I thought I'd be sad to stop breastfeeding, oh those postpartum hormones! Now I'm all excited and all freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeedom as I get closer to a year. Freedom and real bras 😂

On the husbands can be useless topic, last night we ordered pizza and I went to pick it up. It took longer than I thought and I got home around 6:45 with it. He had not fed R because "I didn't tell him the boy needed to eat". R goes to bed at 7:15 at the latest. We have to you didn't tell me I needed to feed him argument more often than I'd like to admit.

Freedom and real bras 😂 Once again I give you nursing mamas props. R is so active and doesn't really even sit still long enough to be held. And when he eats a bottle (which has become a huge fight lately) he has to lay on the floor and hold the bottle himself, he will eat it no other way. I cannot imagine nursing him at this age. Both of my nursing journeys ended around 12 weeks when they were sweet little not mobile babies.
