Welcome to the IVF check-in for November 2! Check-ins will be every Monday (babyhopes) and Thursday (bonzo). If we've left you off the check-in, or if you'd like to be added or removed, please let us know! This is a check-in for those who are doing IVF or FET. Please don’t hesitate to use this check-in for IVF/FET info and support even if you’re not currently cycling. If you are interested in joining, please fill us in on your cycle. Everyone is welcome. Also, please update us along the way! Asterisks will appear by your name if you do not update us in a check-in. After four consecutive asterisks (2 weeks), you will be removed from the list. Don’t fret if you are removed from the list, check in again and we will add you back. Once you get a strong repeat beta, congrats! We eagerly await your 3TIF Grad Check-In posts! We encourage you to intro on PAIF, and while here in the meantime, please consistently use warning tags in posts and siggies, and be mindful of your status, especially on 3TIF outside this check-in. bonzo, thanks for starting. Skidevil87, glad for a good baseline. I have my second ultrasound tomorrow. Since I am not using Lupron, they are looking for a good lining and then starting ganirelex or cetritide when I have ovarian activity. I’m hopeful I will be better with all this estrogen this time. Also, I forgot to have my husband do my IM shot Monday and didn’t realize it until midnight. Guess who was watching YouTube videos about how to do it myself? I did it and feel like I am super fierce.

hoosiermama76, you ARE fierce. I’m so impressed. I can do the belly shots anywhere like a boss. But I don’t think I could do that ass thing alone. AFM: just hanging and waiting for a fert report. I feel like “how soon and often does the lab call” should be one of the questions when choosing an RE. I am grumpy that no one has called yet.

Fert Report. Of the 8 eggs retrieved, only 5 were mature. BUT. All 5 are fertilized. So, that's pretty good.

happyin14, I'm glad to hear you are over 50% so far! My estradiol level was 38.7- so not bad to start. TSH keeps fluctuating so much though. it's back up to 3.9 and I'm already on 75 mcg of synthroid. I don't know what to do. Other than my prenatal and CoQ10 it's the only med I take orally- and I take it correctly. I've also switched to the brand name. I wish my stupid thyroid would get it together.

bonzo thanks for adding me, and thanks for the check in! skidevil87 I'm glad your baseline was fine. Good luck with stims! I'm sorry your thyroid is acting up though. hoosiermama76 you are super fierce! happyin14 that's an amazing fert report! Grow embies grow! AFM - I'm just waiting to O on my own so I can get AF so we can start over. I don't know what went wrong with my body this time but it seems like everything was out of order. I'm doing a natural FET (or at least that's the plan for now). This month my hormones were all over the place and at my lining check on day 12 it was at 4mm. I've never had lining issues before, but I'm not totally surprised because everything else was going too smoothly. I actually started to make an account for here last weekend, but then didn't because I figured we'd transfer next week and I might not be around for that long. I think my body laughed at me for that 😉

happyin14, glad to hear all 5 fertilized! When do you get the next update/ hoosiermama76, A+ for the self-injection. I have a feeling I'm going to learn how to do that, because DH gets weird about stuff like that. He may surprise me, but I'm mentally preparing myself just in case! skidevil87, yay for good baseline! sally, welcome! I hope your next round goes better for you. AFM, I have personally decided that I will cease contact with the ILs until they apologize directly to me, and I have DH's full support. He has also ceased contact and cut them off, but because it's his family I think he's having a harder time with completely declaring he's done. BUT BUT BUT he also agrees that until they apologize to me, DS isn't contacting them in any way either. Also, over the weekend I got my tattoo for K. It's still in wonky healing stage, but here's the photo from the evening after! It's looking MUCH better today than it has been the past couple days, but I had a funny reaction to a clear tattoo film bandage I put on last night, so I now have a red rectangle around it. I'm headed to the Cade Foundation gala this weekend, to support the people making my rainbow possible. I know it's a long shot, but is anyone here going?

also, sorry for the huge picture. I'm on my laptop for the first time in ever, and I can't figure out how to make it smaller.

happyin14 , FX for your 5! 100% fertilized, that's awesome! skidevil87 , Good luck with stims! What thyroid tests have you done? I don't know their names but I know there are some that are more specific to parts of the thyroid. hoosiermama76 , Good work on the IM shot! The first time can be terrifying but honestly there are times I think it's easier. sally , I hope you O soon so you can get started. fikafairy , Even though I'm sure it's tough, I'm glad you and your H are able to be on the same page. Your tattoo is beautiful! {Spoiler} It's been hard to test with the luteal HCG but I got a second line on Monday and it's been getting steadily darker since then. I'm feeling cautiously optimistic for beta tomorrow.

bananas22 they thought about doing antibodies and free T3/4, but I don’t really have any interest in it. I’m just angry about having to go buy a higher dose of med every few weeks. Ps! Good luck Let me clarify- when saying I don’t care about my thyroid- I understand the implications with pregnancy. But if we were not seeing an RE and going through all this, I wouldn’t even be considered hypothyroid. A “normal” persons TSH should be under 5- mine always has been. But fertility world needs it at most 3.

skidevil87, I know if you have the antibodies, your levels have to be lower. But my RE said that without antibodies, range is higher. So maybe having antibodies tested would give you peace of mind with a 3.9? But I can also totally relate to just being done with over analyzing.

Good morning. I'll try to come back later to tag everyone, but for now I am just going to say it's CD1 for me and I'll having a hysteroscopy on the 10th, so that's about it for this month.

Does anyone else do the lupron down reg? I've noticed my needle is dull because I ave to use the same needle to inject that I use to draw up the med. I haven't been able to do it without ice. I have Gonal F and menopur tonight which will be nice and sharp. I think when I do the lupron again for the FET (I'm doing ICSI with PGS then FET) I'm going to ask for separate needles and syringes with separate needles so I can use a sharp needle.

skidevil87, I get the frustration. My level was about a 2.7 and my RE wanted at a 2.5 or lower so just barely above where it should have been. My sister's levels are higher than mine and she doesn't take levothyroxine. Are you talking about the little insulin syringes for your Lupron? I used them for my FET and I was definitely over them after about 3 weeks of shots. I still have a nasty bruise on my stomach. twohopes, I'm sorry about CD 1. I hope your hyst goes smoothly.

When I start my FET I will either buy them or ask for them.

I had my second US this morning, and my lining is at a 7, which is okay, he said for only one week past my baseline and no ovarian activity, which is also good because I won’t have to buy many ganirelex. I have one more next Friday, and if it’s above an 8, I’ll start progesterone and do a contraction check and transfer around the 15th! I’m praying this round works out.
Anyone else have a contraction check? Is it bad?

Day 3 report. 1 didn’t divide at all and is out. The other 4 are all at 6 cells. So, they are still in it - but a little slow. Oy.

None have progressed to blastocysts. They are all 8 and 9 cells. They will give them one more day, but it doesn’t look good.
