So I woke up at 4:15 to DS crying. No idea how long he’d been up because we took the monitor out of his room. He wanted water, so I got him some and then he said he didn’t want to sleep anymore. So he came in our room, which woke P up. So H took DS downstairs and now i’m nursing P back to sleep, then H and I will switch since he has to get up in a little bit for work 😣

muscari if I sleep on my sides/stomach (any position that crushes my boobs), I get hard lumps in them. Could that be it? Either way I wouldn’t pump - just hand massage it the next time D feeds. addymac that sounds frustrating. Just be honest and tell her you’re exhausted and need to rest. I usually sleep on my right side these days and it is my left boob that hurted most so not sure? I ended up pumping for 15 minutes this am an hour orso after D had eated as it was still feeling so soreish and full. I got 10ml from the right lolz wth (that is like 1.3rd of an oz!) And 75ml (2.5oz there about) from the left. I hadnt pumped in 10 days tho so any oversupply I may have had prolly is gone by now so it's not too bad I guess. The assymetry is annoying me tho!! Is there anything I could do to lessen that??

muscari the asymmetry is annoying for sure, but very common. I’m not sure there’s anything you can do about it unfortunately.

muscari, yeah my boobs do the same thing with the asymmetry, it’s annoying but not much you can do. Hopefully your left one is ok and it just felt weird from being engorged. addymac, I’m sorry, that sounds beyond exhausting 😞

Where do u all put ur babies when u aren't holding then? I hold or carry j most of the time but sometimes I need to set him down so I can pee or do something. How long can ur baby hang out when u put them down?

How long can ur baby hang out when u put them down? It depends on where I am and what i’m doing. If I have to use the bathroom I’ll put her in the RnP and take it into the bathroom with me. If I want to eat or do something in the kitchen, I’ll either use the RnP, her bouncer, or just put her on the playmat. She’s usually pretty content, if she starts fussing I’ll give her a paci. Sometimes she can hang for 15-20 minutes, sometimes it’s only 5.

P has been extra fussy yesterday and today. She’s been cluster feeding, and 90% of the time she’s been falling asleep on the boob and just sleep sucking for as long as I’ll let her. Those are serving as her naps - she hasn’t been taking really substantial naps. WW says she’s still 7 days out from the next leap but maybe she’s hitting it early? Or I’m wondering if my period is affecting things. I noticed yesterday and today that my pump output was slightly less, which I know it’s common for your supply to dip during your period.

He used to be such an efficient nurser. I have heard that period can affect supply but never experienced it. addymac That is so annoying. She especially shouldn't be pushing what beliefs you teach your child and should let you guys rest king26 I usually set him in the boppy lounger--love it and wish I'd had it for DS1. If he's sleepy, he'll doze there for hours. If he's awake, I get 5-10 minutes at the most. Spent the morning at the tire center trying to get a puncture fixed and then ordering new tires when it wasn't possibly to fix it (the newest tire got punctured and I needed to replace the other three soon anyway). I had both a razor blade and nail in my tire. Is someone out to get me, lol? Baby H slept in the K'tan the whole time. I was so relieved he didn't freak out.

addymac sorry to hear, it sounds so exhausting. Like others have said maybe just stress that you need a break! king26 it depends, h is so moody! One day he prefers swing, next day the mamaroo or his bouncer. I just started using the sit me up chair and he loves that. He can sit and watch everything around him.

So of course after I posted that earlier, P proceeded to take a 2 hour nap NOT on the boob (still on me though) 😒 I actually woke her up because I was starving and really needed to pee 😆 now she’s nursing and half falling asleep again/half squirming & fussing.

Do any of you have a humidifier you like? My skin is so dry and I noticed M's skin seems to be on the dry side too. I know it will only get worse as the weather gets colder so I wanted to get a humidifier for our bedroom but there's so many and such a huge range of prices. I'd like to not spend a fortune but I do want something that works well! Any recs?

I love having one for colds and especially winter time but they are such a huge PITA to clean. We have a Vick’s one which is like $40. I don’t want to spend a lot because of the cleaning maintenance. We also have hard water so that makes it worse.

Thanks jexxa! M is an absolute beast today. I have no clue what to do with her. I have tried everything and she still is fussing and crying non-stop. I even gave her some formula be aise I thought maybe she wasn't getting enough when BFing, she gobbked down 2 oz so I gave her 2 more, she gobbled those as well and then was spitting up. 20 minutes later was fussy again! MH is about to go to work. It's going to be a long night.

I finally got her to nap by brushing her hair with this super soft brush we have for her that she loves. I had to do it for like 10 minutes non-stop before she finally fell asleep. It's so late for her to be napping but I don't even care because I just need a break from the crying. Hopefully she sleeps for a bit, wakes up in a better mood, and it doesn't mess up her sleep too bad tonight. I know, that's a lot of wishful thinking 🤣

Omg yes the fussiness is unreal tonight. P hasn’t pooped today - she keeps farting though and you can tell she’s uncomfortable. She also is spitting up a TON, i’ve gone through so many bibs and burp cloths today.

sorry for all the grumpiness ladies! J has been great in the morning and early afternoon but grumpy in the evenings. I know he hasn't pooped in 4 days and has stomach problems. He is grunting, farting, and turning purple.
So my parents came in yesterday and are leaving tkmorrow. They watched j foe 3.5 hours tonight so DH and I had our first fate night. It was really nice and we went to our favorite place. Bonus...we bought a $50 gift card there last year and when we went to use it today it had $100 on it! Score for us since the bill was $99. DH and I missed j but we both did good. My mom commented again today how much more relaxed I am now then I was e weeks ago so things ate working anxiety wise.

I just need to vent. I have been a shitshow with allergies for over a month and the earliest I can get and appointment to see an allergist is Dec 6!!!
And my daughter is afraid of her Halloween costume which sucks. Tomorrow is the town Halloween stuff so I am hoping we can wrangle her for at least an hour to score us some candy...
Hope you all are good, I wish I could keep up!

king26 yay for a date night!! @yelllwcat I totally understand. I am currently going through this with my toddler. He isn't so much afraid of Halloween, but the Halloween season has triggered his fear of monsters again. So it's been rough lately! AFM -- baby went down great, my toddler had a meltdown st bedtime. He didn't want to go in his room. My DH finally convinced him that there is nothing wrong with his room or bed. We just finished drinking wine and sampling some cheese/meats! Hoping for a quiet night! We have a busy day tomorrow!

D has bern superfussy and crying and screaming a lot too these past couple days..i dont get it! We too thought maybe she wasnt getting enough from BFing and thought to give a bottle before bed. But in the end she fell asleep (on the boob).. Were you able to get some rest? I hope so! I too always worry a nap too late in the pm will mess up her overnight sleep but so far that hasn't really happened. But i always think what happens will happen.. Sometimes you just need a break!
