So I had a dr appt to get my IUD in. Cool. Appt is at 2pm. I get there early like 1:40 and N fell asleep on the ride over. Fx he stays asleep.... i get undressed and am waiting for the dr. It’s like 2:20 at this point 😒 N is wide awake since we walked into the office of course... and I can tell him pooped but I’m butt naked so I’m hoping he can just hang out. Nope. So I try to change him on my lap so I’m not walking around butt naked. Nope. Poop is everywhere and then he starts to pee- ALL OVER HIS FACE. Like it pooled in his eye socket and ear and I’m oretty sure went in his mouth. And all over his clothes. At this moment the dr finally walks in as he is screaming I’m yelping / laughing 🙈🙈🙈 so then we clean him up and he is wigging out. So I’m like ok let’s feed a little... dr is like you can feed him while I insert the iud. Ok cool .... halfway through kid throws up ALL OVER ME. 😐
It was fairly comical. And the dr was like HE IS SO FAT HOW IS HE SUCH A TANK! 🤣🤣 yep that’s my fatty boy.

@easilyunamused that brunch sounded amazing! So sorry people cancelled addymac omg LOL that's insane A has been in her crib for 3 nights. We started putting her down sleepy but awake with white noise. We also switched to the swaddle up. So far so good. She's still waking up 2 or 3 times a night to eat. She started leap 3 so I'm not expecting that to end any time soon. She's also going to bed 7:30, 8 which is nice so I get some me time but it makes 1st wakeup earlier. When I put her back down MOTN she cries and eventually spits up or burps when I pick her up. No matter how long I try before I put her down. Frustrating

I am proud if I can make a whole dinner and it not be heated unevenly by the time the last thing is ready, lol. mmmm i want a mimosa and a bloody mary now....

J has been awake a lot today but took 2 longer naps which was nice. He's been really fighting going down for naps and at night. jexxa j is the same. I can hold him forever but when he hits his crib he is up. It sucks addymac. Omg that's hilarilus. Speaking of birth control, has anyone uses the thing that's inserted in your arm? I'm thinking of getting that but don't know anyone who has used it.

If I’m in public or at someone’s house or whatever, I’ll go somewhere private to nurse or use a cover. But in my own home? My boobs come out and if you don’t like it, you are free to leave the room. The only person who seems to get weirded out by it is my FIL, who will definitely leave the room. But even my own dad will just avert his eyes and continue on doing whatever he was doing.

addymac that is insane! lol @easilyunamused like everyone said that brunch sounded amazing' I am thinking of putting H in crib for naps and then for bed. I don't know why but I am afraid to pull the trigger on it. I am thinking of trying on the weekend when DH is home so that if he gets fussy I have help.

Those of you who let baby sleep in their crib for naps also (or at least try ), which room is the crib in? How far away from there will you be and so you have a monitor set up?

I dont know what to say.. After the past days I hadnt expected her to STTN like she did but omgosh she slept midnight to 7.30!! I woke up at like 5.30 with very sore boobs and cause I had to pee and i really expected her to wake up any minute. But i fell back asleep and was so surprised to see the time wheb she did wake me up! This sleep was just what mama needed. 😊 this past week I have been having random breakdowns and just been feeling so run down and exhausted and all. One good night won't fix this but but sure makes me feel a little less out of it!

She now naps in her bassinet in the livingroom but I wonder whether a different place for naps and sleep would be better. esp when MH is home and likes watch tv and movies a lot I wonder whether it is simply to much stimulation for her. Plus isnt ot confusing to have playtime and up time in the same room as nap and sleeptime? Do you sometimes co sleep or always had the crib set up in his own room?

muscari his crib is in his room but he doesn't use it yet. He naps in a rock n play in the living room and sleeps in a bassinet in our room. My plan before going back to work is to transition to maps in crib in his room and bed in Pack n play in our room. He's growing out of the bassinrt

I’m way behind on reading the board. We got back from our trip to the ILs last night. Somehow the kids and dog did great on the drive there and back! Poor DS’ second molars all decided to come in while we were gone though, so he was kind of a whiny and not eating mess while we were away.
DD went with us to a wedding (the reason for the trip) and did great hanging out in the carrier or being held. So glad to be back in our own home though.

His crib is in his room and we only have a one floor two bedroom condo and his room is right next to the living room so I can hear him easily and peek in on him easily. Our bedroom is at the other end so I don’t feel comfortable letting him sleep in his room yet and me sleep in my room. If I want to nap while he naps I nap on the futon in his room or on the couch in the living room. But lately naps while he naps haven’t happened 😒 too much cleaning to do. I’m so tired of guests. I know I should be grateful but it’s exhausting preparing the house for them.

Omg guys. Leap 3 is horrendous for us. A would not fall back to sleep for 2.5 hrs last night and then kept waking. I tried 3 different swaddles, nursed, white noise. Coffeeeeee

muscari Crib is in her bedroom. She usually naps at least once a day in there. The monitor is in there, but I don’t use it. I can usually hear her cry. At night, I put her upstairs in the bassinet without a monitor since her bedtime is usually 7pm or earlier. I don’t worry if she cries s little before I get to her.

muscari we have only tried the crib a couple times and a fail but it’s in her room right next door to our living room. House is all one level. I will definitely use a monitor for her room at night and even maybe for naps down the road when it becomes her consistent place to sleep. Yay, I’m glad she slept so good for you last night!

Coffeeeeee Omg leap 3 for sleep was the woooorst. I didn't sleep for days and days. I'm terrified of leap 4 because it is so long. I don't know how I'll survive that one of sleep is that affected by it too.

It looks like leap 4 is 5 weeks but if you read it it's actually 2 different phases and I don't think it lasts all 5 weeks ( I hope not because that is when I'm going back to work)

Those of you who let baby sleep in their crib for naps also (or at least try ), which room is the crib in? How far away from there will you be and so you have a monitor set up? Hudson's crib is in our master bedroom sitting room. It's the size of a normal bedroom. So I figured why not make it easy for me to be close him! His crib is pretty close since I don't have to go out into the hallway, instead just have to go into our other room. I gave the monitors set up, but haven't used them yet, unless he is napping and I'm outside with DS1. He usually goes down around 9pm so I keep him downstairs with us and bring him to bassinet when we go up. I might start putting him up before us, but I want to wait for this leap to end. I don't need anything else ruining his sleep!

P’s crib is upstairs in her room which is down the hall from our bedroom. I have the monitor in there. She’s still sleeping in the RnP in our room though.

Baby H's crib is in the nursery which is right across from our master, but I sleep on couch cushions in the nursery (at night; I don't see the point of me starting crib naps since he'll be starting at daycare in two weeks. He naps on me, on the lounger (supervised), or in the swing if I'm desperate.)
I haven't decided when I'll stop sleeping in the nursery, lol.

P had her appt with the pediatric urologist this morning (finally). Apparently she has the hydronephrosis in both kidneys now. She’s scheduled for a cystogram on 11/14 to determine the cause, and then we go from there. The urologist’s office is 1.5 hours from our house, which is the longest car ride we’ve done with her so far. She did really well both trips - the ride there she slept the entire time, the ride back she slept except for the last 20ish minutes when she woke up and got fussy.
We’re on our way out the door now for DS’s first dentist appt. Hopefully he cooperates!
