E sleeps in the pack and play next to our bed at night. The crib is across the hall from our room. I have the monitor in there and use it at nap time. She's only slept in there for a few naps.
I was nervous with DS to have him upstairs when the master was downstairs. I didn't put him up there overnight until probably 4 months, so I get those nerves. We're in a ranch house now, but I haven't tried putting her in the crib at night because of the convenience of not getting out of bed for feedings MOTN.

Omg leap 3 for sleep was the woooorst. I didn't sleep for days and days. I'm terrified of leap 4 because it is so long. I don't know how I'll survive that one of sleep is that affected by it too. We are still in leap 2 and it's been really good days and a few fussy days. I'm dreading leap 3. It looks like leap 4 is 5 weeks but if you read it it's actually 2 different phases and I don't think it lasts all 5 weeks ( I hope not because that is when I'm going back to work) i also go back to work when that leap starts ugh

So D supposedly finished her 2nd leap some days ago.. then why has her fussyness and crying reached a level yesterday and today that we jad yet to experience?? It starts mid afternoon and lasts till her last late-night feeding. Or into the night sometimes like Sun-on-Monday night.. we are so lost on what to do. Nothing soothes her for longer then a few minutes it seems except for (comfort) nursing. I have basically been a giant pacifier slash milkmachine for the past 7 hours and not done yet. My poor nipples... thank god for shields I can't imagine what it must be like to cluster like this without.

So maybe she's finishing it up now?

P had her appt with the pediatric urologist this morning (finally). Apparently she has the hydronephrosis in both kidneys now. She’s scheduled for a cystogram on 11/14 to determine the cause, and then we go from there. The urologist’s office is 1.5 hours from our house, which is the longest car ride we’ve done with her so far. She did really well both trips - the ride there she slept the entire time, the ride back she slept except for the last 20ish minutes when she woke up and got fussy. We’re on our way out the door now for DS’s first dentist appt. Hopefully he cooperates! Glad she did well in the car. FX it's not a difficult case and you can figure out what is wrong.

jexxa, glad you saw the urologist today. I hope the treatment plan won’t be too extensive.

So after yesterday taking a mega 3.5 hr nap and me having to wake her, I don’t think she has napped more than 10 mins at a time a few times today. These babies are cray 😜

Sorry everyone, I'm so behind and haven't quite caught up with this thread yet. M has been a beast the past couple of days, so fussy and can't be put down. She's also been really hard to soothe. And she has her pedi appointment tomorrow, so I'm sure the shots won't help. Ugh! I'll try to catch up tonight or tomorrow, hope you're all ok.

jexxa - hope the path forward is smooth. cali - Sorry to hear about all the fussiness. Not that it helps, but I feel your pain. H was doing pretty good, but these last few days have been rough. I am constantly having to soothe him. He will only stay down for a max 20 min. Last night he woke 3 times and I feel tonight maybe no different. I just keep telling myself it will pass, their is a light at the end of the tunnel!

So my principal texted me yesterday asking me to call. She apologized but said it was urgent. I guess one of my kids is taking apart and it's been bad. Anyhow the mom woul dnt talk to anyone but me (I've taught this kid for 5 years) So I ended up calling the parent, from home, for 30 minutes. Ugh
Big week here . Appointment and shots today. My parents come Thursday to Saturday an DH and I are going out for the first Time while they watch j. I'm excited but nervous and hope my anxiety isn't too bad.

So sorry everybody seems to be dealing with overly fussy babies atm. I know D fits right into that mix. Sooo much crying. So heartbreaking too at times. She slept well overnight though so that helps me and daddy a lot when it comes to handling all the crying without crying ourselves.

Baby H woke up at 2 tonight, so we only got a four hour stretch. My pump parts weren't clean, so as I'm cleaning DS1 wakes up and starts crying, "I need you!" Now he's back down and I'm pumping, knowing baby H will likely wake up when I go back in the nursery. It's going to be a long night!
Good luck to everyone with two month appointments and shots tomorrow!

The dentist was an epic fail 😣 I mean I guess we kind of expected it, but it was still disappointing and a little embarrassing. They were super cool about it though and told me to stop apologizing 😆. We’ll try again in a few months I guess.

We are done. J weighs 11 pounds and is 22.5 inches. The shots sucked . He screamed plus he was already up more than 2 hours which us his max. Poor guy. He is sleeping on me now.
The doctor was shocked when. He flipped him on his belly and j immediately held head up for 30 seconds so we r doing well.

Awww king26 the screaming during the shots is the worst. It produces such a visceral reaction in me and is why I have to have H with me. Give J lots of snuggles today ❤️

king26 seems like ithe appointment went well (minus shots). Cuddles always help! Shots are never fun, even as an adult I psych myself out.

H has been the worse he has been this whole leap. Fussy the whole day, constant feeding and clingy. Thankfully my DH worked from home and kept my toddler busy. I feel so bad sometimes becuase DS1 always want to play and I have to tell him to wait or play alone. Plus my IL's are coming for the day tomorrow so I have to clean up the house.

king26, so glad J is doing well! Sorry about the shots though :-( M screamed too and it was so hard to watch. I just kept telling myself that it is to protect her from terrible diseases, but it still sucked!
