Also, I feel like I need to make a diaper bag list for the original packing of it too. It's only been two years. Why do I seem so new? I feel like I forgot so much. LOL

Apparently we are all just waiting on you AnnPerkins, because that's why I am here too. It took my test about 10 minutes last time but I was also in l&d so that might have been quicker than normal OB office.

LOL I didn't pack ds2's diaper bag until right before his pediatrician appointment. It like didn't even dawn on me that I'd need two since ds1 is still in diapers/pull ups and was with my in laws lol. Oops. Diapers, wipes, 2 outfit changes, burp cloth, pacifier if you plan on using one, snack for you, extra blanket. And I'm sure I'm missing a whole bunch of stuff that is usually recommended to have lol.

But there's a second swab test that can be immediate but could take a bit longer if they have to send it to a lab. My pH test was negative but swab was immediately positive lol.

grumpycat, admittedly I was out of it having my water break at 34w so my advice is based on a fuzzy recollection. Thanks for the info. I think they only did the swab test but we already knew it would be positive since there was no mistaking the water breaking.

I just got back from the OB - the baby was not happy with the NST - was just kicking and moving and throwing punches the whole time. I'm so sore.

Appointment with the mfm this morning and now I’m in the waiting room for my ultrasound. I cannot tell you how happy I was to have a shortened day at work. My sub is the worst. Six more work days!

I'm not sure beefinch will ever forgive AnnPerkins if she has her baby first. ETA: I see now that this is moot.

LOL 3 tiny outfits, lots of diapers, wipes, burp cloth, hand sanitizer (which I couldn’t think of the name of), a wet bag or plastic bag, then any extras you may feel necessary at that time, and mommy stuff: wallet and keys.

UPDATE: They did some type of swab test that needed to be sent to a lab to verify. It took about an hour. Results were negative for amniotic fluid, so they sent me home after the steroid shot and some blood work.
The nurse kept mentioning Wednesday like the possibility of me making it that far is still on the table. 3cm seems like a lot to me, though. However, I don't think I dilated at all with my other two until I was already admitted to L&D. I called off work for tonight and the weekend, so now we just wait while also frantically scurrying around to make sure things are done.
Thank you all so much for checking in on me!💓

I'm having total pregnancy dejavu right now. Weeks of timeable contractions, high closed cervix. Whomowhomp. They did my third tri blood and cultures, my GBS, and I asked about a flyid check but ended up not getting one. They needed a speculum for that but nothing else, so shrug. Offered to pull me out of work but I just can't make myself do it, I'm too scared I'll end up with no maternity leave. Maybe I'll get brave and agree next week.
I know dilation doesn't mean anything. I was high, closed, and posterior last time the day before my water broke. But goddamn, it's be nice if all these damn contractions did anything.

Wut Why would they pick two different sized pumpkins for his butt shot? It makes him look lopsided.

It's so strange, but it feels like I'm watching everyone else having babies and it doesn't seem like I'm ever going to be one of them. Like, I'm not eventually going to have another little thing. Not that I'm sick of being pregnant, that it just seems so unreal. Does that make sense? Lol it makes sense in my head I'm hear mentally too! But baby needs to hold off minimally 2 more weeks so.... and if I have a December baby I'm okay with it!

The heartburn is UNREAL today. I am certain I could breathe fire if necessary. It is even making my ears hurt.
I need a nap.

AnnPerkins, if it makes you feel... better? my friend was 3cm dilated for 3 weeks before she went into labour I think that's why my MW doesn't bother checking, because mostly it doesn't really indicate much. I had my ultrasound today, baby is head down, just like I thought! So one less thing to worry about. Hope the same for you snuff9861! She didn't do any measurements though, so baby size is a mystery, I'm still convinced she'll have massive feet.

I've been popping a Zantac before bed and it's greatly reduced the amount of times that I wake up in pain with a mouth full of acid.

Sorry to all of the heartburn sufferers! Avoid cinnamon, that's one of the few things that bugs mine. I have to drink plain rooibos now, not cinnamon anymore

I just spent over 4 hours at a farm with some friends and their kids that are DD2’s age. I’m freaking exhausted, DD2 is napping and I know I should use this time to unpack some boxes... but instead I’m sitting on the couch. I’m also incredibly swollen right now... blah

DS2 had his eyes open and was alert so I brought him over for ds1 to see. DS1 was like "he stopped eating!!" Lmao how you know your newborn just eats all day long (other than the permanent outline of your ass on the couch/rocking chair). DS1 said hi to him and smiled.
DH said I can get a comfier chair for upstairs. #winning

I was 2.5cm for almost two weeks. My doctor kept telling me she didn't think she'd see me again. She did. 3 more times.
