Not to throw universe juju out there or whatever but when DS1 was born, it was the very day my in-laws left for a 4 day trip to DC. Pretty typical. I don't think anyone is going on trip anytime soon in our circle but my mom, who is choice #1 for DS, is out of town a lot lately working on getting my grandma into a nursing home. I have already resigned myself to the fact that this baby will come when no one is available and we'll have to bring him with to the hospital. I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE PREPARED THIS TIME. Look at us both with all of this extra time this go around and unprepared. I guess we can say we tried?

SO has basically all of November off besides a 5 day stretch, but he is gone until the beginning of November. We live 4 hours away from family. He is working 2 hours away. My BFF is coming for a visit next week but I am a little nervous that something will happen early before SO gets home. It's not likely, I made it to due date and got induced with the first two so I don't have a history of going into labor early. But this pregnancy has been very different than the other two so there's still that little shadow of doubt. I have a few friends up here I could call in a pinch until SO made it home or some one in my family made it here, but MOTN would be miserable to have to drag two kids to L&D if I start contracting or water breaks lol

Good choice, ladies! Home with my burger now. Love how Five Guys just throws a bunch of fries in the bag at the end. Soooo many french fries. <3

So much clusterfeeding last night. I'm so tired. DS2 kept falling asleep at the boob and was very hard to wake up until I unlatched him and put him down. So it resulted in a louder than usual evening and less sleep for everyone in my house. He was more awake this morning and latched well so we both got a bit more sleep. I will be sleeping when he sleeps today lol. DS1 is starting to come around. I was feeding DS2 and he came in the room told me to give that (ds2) to dh. I said that I could not do that because he was eating. DS1 said oh and gave me a side hug. This morning ds1 brought his baby doll downstairs and put it in the rock n play. I'm so glad he's starting to make some progress. Is there a book you can read to him while you nurse? Or a special toy he can have while you are nursing? Anyway to help him feel included that he may enjoy? DS1 used to love helping get diapers and throwing them away when DS2 came along. DS2 was a whole different story when DS3 came along because he was still nursing and wanted to nurse all day. We read together every night and I always ask if he wants me to read to him. He will come sit with me and bring a book lol. I'm not quite hands free breastfeeding or babywearing yet but I think that will help. DS1 is starting to ask questions about DS2 so it's just a slow process lol.

Morning everyone. I guess we're getting to the point where out of all the preggos 50% of us are having a crappy night's sleep on any given night!
Baby has been a bit quiet yesterday and this morning compared to her more busy days, so I'm looking forward to my ultrasound this afternoon. Send all of your "head down" vibes please!

Agreed blabbermouth but I blame mine on the dog. I woke up at 5 to my legs draped over a 65lb dog, no idea how he weaseled his way under me lol. I'm moving up the start date of my temp. My coworkers don't think I'm allowing enough time for her to learn things plus I have an irrational fear of going early so it can't hurt to get her started. I'm also so ready for the weekend but I have a lot to do so it won't be relaxing at all.

I actually slept like a rock last night for the first time in a while, so that was a pleasant surprise. I guess my Tylenol PM, prenatal vitamin, magnesium oxide cocktail worked well!

Omg dh. Just get ds2 to stop crying long enough for me to take a postpartum poop. Gah. Thank you, stool softeners and oatmeal cookies.

Every time I come in here someone else is on their way to having a baby and I was just going to post how excited I am that I bought toiletries for my hospital bag!
Also, new underwear and sports bras too.
I'm hoping to get my bag ready by next week. Maybe even get the carseat in at least one of the cars.

I'd like to join that club very soon. My bag is packed though. My spectra came Tuesday soim ready to roll.

But I've been having more and more contractions lately. I shrug them all off but maybe it'll be best to have a bag ready just in case.

It's so strange, but it feels like I'm watching everyone else having babies and it doesn't seem like I'm ever going to be one of them. Like, I'm not eventually going to have another little thing. Not that I'm sick of being pregnant, that it just seems so unreal.
Does that make sense? Lol it makes sense in my head

For some reason I just DNW to pack a hospital bag. It just seems so tiring right now lol I made a list like two weeks ago and just that made me tired. Actually packing it wasn't so bad once the list existed, though... even if I didn't get to it for a week and a half after I made it.

AnnPerkins, when my water broke with DS1 I was also 3cm and they induced me within the hour. Just saying... But good luck! I ate a sort of carb-heavy lunch so I decided to take a quick walk around our office complex. I promptly stepped on a rock. That's what I get for attempting to exercise. Also, this baby feels very heavy in my hips/pelvis. I feel a bit nervous about this. My mind also messed with me this morning and made me think my brown spotting was turning pink. It hasn't been at all since then but my hands definitely shook for a while.
