vino that hurts my heart. Poor B. chrisy01 I’m so glad he loves it! How are you feeling? And cagoldi, how are you feeling too? tgrimes puke is the worst. Sending wine. Nothing much here. The big boys are on fall break, so we got to sleep in a little, and I have to take ryland to school in a bit. Then we have the gym and errands. I need to go to Home Depot so I can finish painting today and I also want to get some big flower pots and plants for our front yard. Can't complain, really. I have a bit of a TMI situation that I might get around to posting about. I'm 10 weeks today and starting to feel like I might be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel WRT exhaustion and nausea.

tgrimes, sounds like something my MH would do. Oh but wait, he's hardly alone with the kids. lol Speaking of which, I am going out for a girls night Friday night in the cities and staying over night. This will be DH's first time in almost 4 years being alone with either of our kids over night. I have no doubt he'll do just fine since there is nothing he needs to be at Friday night or Saturday morning. I wish it was during the week so he could deal with getting them out the door in the morning! ha.

Cass was sick yesterday. She's been complaining about not feeling well on and off for several days and then seeming like she's okay, but yesterday there was no question she was sick. I was up with her most of Sunday night but last night MH said she actually got some sleep. Hopefully she's well enough for preschool since it's only a few hours and it's picture day. I'm taking tomorrow off to join Maddie on her field trip to the pumpkin patch. Yesterday the teacher sent home 8 pages of instructions for chaperones including specific discussion points and questions to ask the kids at each station. She expects them to fill out a journal and take notes...they're 5. Most of them can only do basic writing. It also mentioned they can draw pictures if they need to. In what planet is note-taking a skill that needs to be developed for kindergartners? *major eye roll* WTF? I would tell the kids you're chaperoning to just draw pics of pumpkins. Ha ha ha.

Laughing at that activity, inthekitty. Settle down, lady, it's a freaking Pumpkin Patch. Hope Cass is at the tail end of her illness. Aw, vino. I can't imagine how sad that must have made you feel. Poor sweet B. FX M starts feeling better soon, tgrimes.

MH just texted me that they're going to grandma's house. He lasted exactly 2.5 hours. L O fucking L. Lol. I was just gonna say no way would I trust Adam to clean up puke. He would do a shitty job and i’d come home to a stinky mess.

nam2013 We're okay over here. My house is close to the hills and we have had fires make us pretty nervous in the past but so far they're not too close this time. My dad's is always kind of scary though. Several years ago, houses in his neighborhood and as close to about 5 houses up from him burnt, and people died in those fires. He's leaving town tonight so I guess I'm going to be on fire watch to see if he needs me to go over and grab anything Critical in case they do mandatory evacuations like they have in the past. I'm actually glad he's going to be gone because it was almost impossible to get him to leave last time. He is totally okay with being that guy on the news on top of his house with a garden hose yelling at the camera that he's not getting out.

I'm off work today for a Rheumatology appointment. Pete's WAH because his office is super close to the fires.
Dude was trying medal in the World's Biggest Brat competition this morning.
At what age do they stop freaking out about every little thing?!
No, I'm sorry your yogurt doesn't have the lid anymore but I am not going to retrieve it from The trash.

It's really bothering me that I can't lovetit anymore from my work computer. Thanks for the love. Hopefully this is a recovery day for Cass. Yes, I'm so WTF about the field trip. It also really has me missing Maddie's teacher last year. I hope Cass has a different K teacher. This one is...something. And tgrimes I think that's about what I'm going to do. Draw a pumpkin kids! There are specific instructions for all 4 stations and one station has 10 questions. Example: "Choose an animal that is native...who supplies the animal's habitat...is there an impact on the farm having this animal here?" They are supposed to document their responses in the journal. This is how I feel about the whole thing:

chrisy01 ugh. I hope your work marathon isn't too painful and that you haven't been feeling too bad. I can't imagine early pregnancy sickness/fatigue and that schedule. I'm beginning my 5 weeks of ~60 hour work weeks and effing dreading it. My second job is going to do me in.

Hope she's over it quickly and nobody else gets sick, tgrimes ! Don't forget your 3 glasses of red wine tonight You're such a good friend for reminding me. Crazily enough my boss brought me 2 bottles of Etude Pinot Noir today. I'm his wine connoiseur for client dinners and if he doesn't meet the minimum, he just purchases bottles of wine. I keep telling him to send them my direction because he doesn't drink wine and his wife can't anymore since she had liver cancer. BRING ME ALL THE WINE!

Saturday he had to take her and help set up and cook and MC the benefit we went to. I was all excited because he was gonna get a real taste of how difficult it can be to manage the child while also trying to take care of other things. Wouldn’t you know it...she was a perfect angel that day, extremely cooperative. He thinks it’s no big deal. I was really hoping she’d give him a run for his money and he would finally understand.
