chrisy01 and other Cali girls, how are you doing? I saw the picture of the orange skies behind Disney, looked beautiful and terrifying at the same time. Hope all of you are safe.

Today is my Monday. I enjoyed my day with the boys but a random day off always throws off my week. I slacked way off on my workouts this weekend with all the parties so I'll be playing catch up all week with those. I mapped it all out in my calendar to hold myself accountable. Is L excited to go back to school today chrisy01? I hope he has a great second day! Great minds nam2013 ! I deleted my thread.

nam2013 I don't live near the fire zone but I do work in Anaheim and lo's school is there. The air is super think so it's hard to breathe. But so far so good. I've reached out to a few friends that live near the evacuation zones and let them know they can stay with us if they like. peachsmama he's excited. Today is show and tell and since the color of the week is purple so he's bringing his purple pirate flag. Can't wait to hear about his day.

Morning! I totally get how having a day off throws off your week (even though I'm home and it's totally groundhogs day everyday). Josie has school at noon, and Charlie and I are going to run errands. The cleaning lady should be here at nine, so we'll all get to play our weekly game of "stay out of her way."

Morning ladies!
My alarm clock went off at 5:30 and instead of hitting snooze, I turned it off. I somehow woke at 6, but 45 minutes is not enough time to get me ready, get H set up for the day (move all the equipment), and get E up and moving. And of course I got behind every slow asshole not driving the speed limit on the way to work.

Oh, and it's 50 degrees and raining this morning. When I got in the office, the damn air conditioner was running. Seriously, no one could turn it to heat?

I'm so glad to hear he's doing so well - vino's B as well - in the new place. How am I so emotional about this? Haha.

Morning. I woke up to frost on my front yard, it got below freezing last night. Before bed my nose was running like crazy so I think I’ve figured out that it’s the furnace that’s causing my allergies to flare. So today I will be replacing the filter down there at some point. H has preschool this afternoon and I want to check target or somewhere for bday party invites so I can get them out soon.

Morning! I’m driving an hour and a half for a dr appointment today. My yearly check up/pap. I’m only about 6 months behind on it. Whoops. A nurse from my insurance company kept calling because they noticed I hadn’t been. So I finally got it scheduled to get her off my back. Lol. The good news is, I will get a pedicure and do some shopping after my appointment!

It's going to be a long day. I gave blood yesterday and instead of going to bed early to sleep it off, I stayed up a couple hours late, talking to one of my best friends on the phone. It was so necessary though. She's been dealing with a lot and needed to talk, and I've had a lot on my mind lately (mostly about DH) that I had yet to actually voice out loud. I have a lot to think about but it was kind of liberating to admit my concerns, especially to someone who keeps me honest and isn't afraid to call me out when I'm being an idiot.
Anyhow it's a beautiful day and I'm going to enjoy it as best as I can. With lots of caffeine.

WWN13 do?...
One of my good friends has a daughter Sierra’s age. She’s turning 4 at the end of this month. We got invited to the birthday party, which is a kid party, not family/friends party. MH and I have something going on that day so our babysitter will have S that day. Would you have the babysitter take your kid to the party or skip it? MH and I have opposite feelings on this.

I would allow the sitter to take Sierra, but let the host know that she will be bringing her instead of your or your H since you have previous plans. As the host, I would just want all kids invited to show up, if possible.

I worked with some fondant this weekend and forgot to use acetone on my hands. They're blue. Oops. Rubbing alcohol will get it off. I never put anything on my hands when working with fondant. The color always comes off. I think blue and red are the hardest to get off.

Colin went to a birthday party in May when we were in CA. My parents were watching him that day so my Dad took him. A non-related babysitter is a bit different, but I'd say go for it if they're willing.

So I have nice teal/blue fingers lol.

You're not going to be able to socialize anyway. You'd just be chasing her around and the sitter can do that without it being awkward.

M threw up this morning. I had to come to work today though because we're short handed and I have court. MH is staying home with her and I feel guilty as hell that I'm not there to snuggle her. She got sick 3 times before I left and MH just sent me a text saying she can't keep anything down. Poor baby.

On Friday when I was tucking him in he asked if it was a stay home day, after 5 days in the new daycare, I said yes for 3 days! He said, ' yay! 3 days and no one is going to hit me'. I asked who is hitting him dreading that it was happening again in the new place, and he listed 3 boys from the old place. I think it was bad there, so bad that he thought it was normal to be hit and pushed. I may have cried and drank wine to manage my Mom guilt feelings after that comment.

lfig, I feel like your situation is a little different. While I think S should get to go to the party and most people wouldn't mind if someone other than a parent brought a child I would make sure you are comfortable with the sitter in emergency situations. Does she know what to do if S has one of her seizures, etc. I would assume she does, since she is your babysitter and you probably trained her in all of that, but out and about is different than in your home. Just make sure you are completely comfortable with it. If you are, then hey, let her go have some birthday party fun!

Good morning. C is at school and work isn't too crazy today! My boss is away for the week and I am in training for a new accounting database most of the week. DH is working late tonight as well, which I am happy about because after a 3 days weekend we all need some space. lfig, I would let the sitter take her. Gives them something new to do!
