79 is very odd for here. And you just reminded me I need to get C boots and try his coat on to see if maybe it still fits (I hope, I hope!). I'm in the opposite boat. Josie still fits into everything from last year, and I bought a couple of new things this year, but I have zero for Charlie except a light jacket. C's coat is actually from the last 2 years so I don't have high hopes! I think I have C hand me downs that should fit L. Maybe.

Fat ass live blog: my thighs have gained an ally in my bladder. I've peed a million times today and they rejoice every time I free them from their denim confinement. My stomach is also trying to join in and convince me I need chips. Not today, bitch, not today.

yummeecookee Isn't your H's Lyme diagnosis fairly recent (w/in the last year)? I mostly know about Lyme because of RHOBH and Yolanda F having it, but is lifelong affects of Lyme a proven thing? I thought there were differences in opinions. Ex: YF says she has chronic Lyme but not all dr's recognize it?! I thought it can go in remission but you're never really considered "cured?" Maybe there are different variants of the disease...

I thought there were differences in opinions. Ex: YF says she has chronic Lyme but not all dr's recognize it?! The initial infection was from July 2016. His PCP said that if he were to test him again this year, it would still show up positive so maybe that's why it's questionable as to whether it's a lifelong issue or not. The symptoms he has are the same each time (granted it's only been 2 "flare ups" since the first time), so it makes us think he's dealing w it again.

But onto something more fun.... To join in the kids' clothes convo. I think B will fit into some of her things from last year, at least through the rest of the calendar year. We will definitely need a winter coat though.

LO is wearing some of the clothes from last year but to be honest I do let him wear larger items if he can.

I thought C would fit into his same clothes but the shirts are too short and the pants are so worn in the knees that he's ripped three pairs in the past two weeks. He's borderline on the waist for going to the next size up so I need to buy some drawstrings and adjustables.

wineallthetime I'm glad you're feeling better! Take it easy on yourself! chrisy01 I hope L has a great first day at his new school! Can't wait to hear about it! guster I need to catch up on the weekend thread, but I hope you heal quickly! I am happy to report, no adult males butts have been wiped with these hands, he can do it him damn self! I also can confirm that nursing would not have been the career for me...this weekend was fucking exhausting. I don't know if I've ever looked forward to work so much, as I did this morning. Although I did go home on lunch to make sure he was safe, change the water in his cold water circulation tank thing, and make sure he had a sandwich for lunch.

It was 72 here but so humid I feel gross. I would happily take snow at this point.
I had to teach 1/2 day then had 2 hours of professional development. Usually the kids get the whole day off but this year we are getting a full week off in November instead. I'm super excited because that brings maternity leave 1 week closer.

yummeecookee ugh Lyme's is the worst. My dad gets chronic flare ups and know so many people around here with long lasting symptoms. There is so much turmoil about recognizing the disease. Was he on doxi? I took that once for a few days while I had a tick checked and it was the worst abx I'd ever taken, it's so strong. I'd def check out jhu, nothing to lose.

H's aunt came by this morning and brought him brownies and me a bottle of wine. I'm just going to put a straw in it, not even dirty the glass.

I have a bone to pick with M's new school.
They have early dismissal this Friday for some debate, but sent an email out a few weeks ago saying extended day would be open. This past Friday they sent an email saying the opposite. MH is out of town for football and I may have to take off half day now if I can't find anyone to babysit him last minute. Ugh...

Guys there are fires in the OC. Lo's school is open but isn't letting the kids go outside to play. LO will probably be upset that he didn't get to play on the equipment. He was looking forward to it.
I've also been coughing like crazy today. Hope they can get the fire under control.

We might not ever get to the Irvine Pumpkin Patch this year.

I worked for my mom for a while in high school and it was horrible. Just be careful working for family. It never stays at work. Hope your brother is ok.
