misskilljoy that's where I'm at too. I'd love to have it done by his 3rd birthday (in January) so he can move into the next class at school. I wasn't potty trained until I was 3 and I feel like that used to be the norm. I thought it still was rhe norm... Lol. DD wasn't fully trained until recently at 3.5.

I'd skip the pull up. DS is 99.9% trained during the day. The second I slap a pull up on him for whatever reason (car ride, attempt a nap, etc), You'd best believe he's going to fill it with some bodily function or another. We leave the potty in our bathroom and then he can just go and use it whenever he needs to. If he poops, he will call out for someone to come wipe his bum. FFMC: Half the time he pees into the tub. No care zone. I told MH that DD is almost certainly not bothering to tell us when she needs to pee because she has a pull-up on and can just pee and keep playing. She will hold it for hours and can pee on the toilet when we ask her to, but if left to her own devices she'll just pee while going about her day and not care one bit. I figure that one good weekend of being in underwear and having to get changed every time she has an accident will snap her out of that fast since going pee on the toilet is 10000000x faster than getting her underwear and pants changed every time she pees. Just anecdotally... This did not work for DD. She is the queen of doesn't GAF. 😳 now she is fine but seriously she would pee her pants and just KOKO forever. It was incredibly frustrating.

MH is a little worried about this being a possibility but DD is always really disappointed with herself and upset if her diaper leaks or she spills something on her clothes, so I have high hopes. XD She also asks us to change her now if her diaper is REALLY full so I don't think she likes feeling wet at all.

Almost every kid in my neighborhood was trained by 3. Like fully trained. And my cousin's daughter (who is NOT fully potty trained, but her parents will tell you that she is ... as she poops her pants) was "trained" by 2.5 (and supposedly started at 18 months ... Yea I don't think so). Most of the preschool programs in my area won't take your kid unless s/he is potty trained. Every kid is different but I think we just felt a lot of pressure from his school/what everyone else was doing. I'm glad to hear we are in a good boat here though

I cannot stop scratching my legs. They are so swollen and itchy. My BP was a bit lower than the other day so this is extra frustrating. 3rd trimester is the worst, for real.

I'm sorry you're extra scratchy. My rhinitis is off the charts. I'm so tired of being congested. Like, I want this kid early just so I can breath through my nose again for the first time in nine months. I'm super ready to not be pregnant anymore.

I could not get comfortable last night, and of course when I get up at 3:30 to pee the puppy takes my spot and gives me attitude when I push him out lol

I'm glad to hear we are in a good boat here though Yeah, preschool programs here vary with that. The one DD is in now required PT, I am not sure if that is related to the fact that it is through an elementary school. But I know some of the full day preschools don't require it, like the Y one we looked at. One thing I learned with PT DD is that she really had to be ready, and forcing it just didn't really lend to progress. We first tried at the end of March (her bday is early Feb), to do the 3 day method. It didn't really lead anywhere so we decided to table it. I forget when we tried again, maybe June? And we had much better success, pee was almost instant. It just clicked. She didn't consistently poop on the potty till Maybe August, which was a bit close to when she started preschool at the end of the month, lol. But, she is now officially potty trained.

laurensc927 - just wait until middle of the night feedings. My 65 lb dog would settle into my spot, knowing I can't move him. I had to wake up DH to move him. One night, I had the dog spooning me as I had a sliver of the edge of the bed. Also, I think one of you posted this (or someone on Facebook), but a reshape is necessary- made this for breakfast and it was great (even without the whipped cream)! So thanks to whoever brought this into my life! barefeetinthekitchen.com/pumpkin-pie-oatmeal-recipe/

I think I may try to do it in the IP and make them steel cut oats, only because that is what we have the most of at home.

DS started telling us he didn't want to wear diapers last year right before DD was born. But he was horrible and not ready to be PT so pull-ups and half assed PTing commenced. Daycare did most of the work but he's been day-trained (including poop) for a couple of months now. He turned 3 in June. Still not night trained but that usually comes later anyways so I'm not surprised.

Worst fucking night ever. I am so congested and since I only have 2 positions to choose from, I could not get comfortable, or breath.
And... to top it all off H has my cold so he's obviously in worse shape than me and needs a nap 😒 dude, take some fucking Sudafed and STFU.
I'm tired and angry

Bathroom cleaning will probably happen today. I'm also going to paint a base coat on the kids' ToT buckets so that I can paint designs on them later this week. Hopefully, most Halloween prep will be finished by next week.

Dropped ds off at school because dh had to go into work super early. There's a girl in his class who asks me every time she sees me if there's a girl or a boy in my belly. They've been in the same class since they were infants so I know her name and all that, but it's super cute that this almost 3 year old is so invested in the sex of my baby. DS doesn't gaf.
On another note, it's day two of extreme humidity here. All my windows are fogged up. Gross. Jumping in the shower and then off to the doctor!

bethers I call him the puppy because he's the youngest but he is our biggest dog (currently 65 pounds) lol. We are putting a twin bed in the nursery so hopefully that will be my saving grace in the middle of the night. I blame it on the damn snoogle the dogs love curling up in it when I'm not in bed.

I got the majority of the nursery done last night. Now on to washing/folding baby clothes, sterilizing bottles/pump parts, and packing a hospital bag. I'm hoping I can get dh to put together the double stroller this weekend.

I'm going to run out and pick up a gift for my friend who had her baby last week. I'm getting her/her family: newborn diapers, a gift card to a restaurant up the street from her, an Amazon gift card, and a book for her older son. I'd like to get her something for HER though. Maybe one of those fancy face masks?

What do you guys do re: potential water breaking. Do you sleep with a towel underneath your butt? Keep a towel in the car? For some reason I'm paranoid about this.

Mine broke in my bathroom at home, but we had an hour drive to the hospital so H put contractor bags and towels over my seat in the car so I wouldn't ruin it. H and I both have a few emergency supplies in our cars, including tarps, so I guess I have that. My mom picked us up a waterproof mattress pad for our bed yesterday too, so that'll be going on today so I don't potentially ruin our new mattress. Anything beyond that, shrug.

I didn't with DS either. We were very lucky that it broke in the wet room of a shower as it was like a water fall. The bed/car makes me nervous as DNW to clean up all that water, I'm expecting my waters to be broken when being induced anyway
