Also, just while I'm thinking about it, is it an idea that everyone does their own birth stories/announcements/induction/labour threads rather than just doing it in the randoms thread of that week? Just so we don't mix it all up and can check in easily?
Just an idea, I know our little library had her own thread and it was great to check up that way!
I know I'll be doing an induction thread that'll turn into birth announcement and birth story, as I think I'll need some entertainment during the induction process 😂

What do you guys do re: potential water breaking. Do you sleep with a towel underneath your butt? Keep a towel in the car? For some reason I'm paranoid about this. Trash bag under you in the car (just keep one in your car in case). Waterproof mattress cover (you will want this after giving birth anyway ... so many fluids ... sweat, breast milk, spit up, you name it). You can do a towel too, but I can't imagine having another piece of fabric in the bed with me. I'm already too hot.

I thought it still was rhe norm... Lol. DD wasn't fully trained until recently at 3.5. DS started telling us he didn't want to wear diapers last year right before DD was born. But he was horrible and not ready to be PT so pull-ups and half assed PTing commenced. Daycare did most of the work but he's been day-trained (including poop) for a couple of months now. He turned 3 in June. Still not night trained but that usually comes later anyways so I'm not surprised. Oh yeah we still do pull ups at night. I am too tired to night train. DCP said that for her boys, she would set alarms and get up a couple times per night to see if they wet the bed, so she could put fresh sheets on. I just stared at her. When I'm pregnant and waking up at 4 AM for work, that is the very very last thing I want to do in life. Pull ups for however long is necessary here!

It's the best way to check in. Plus, I think it deserves it's own aw-ing! Maybe unpin the ultrasounds thread and pin up a birth stories thread like O17 did?

But when it happened to me MOTN, I actually didn't get anything on the bed. I heard the pop upon turning over, and then got up to go to the bathroom. As soon as I got up, Niagara falls broke loose. So, the carpet had to be cleaned... But yes I did sit on a towel in the car on the way to the hospital.

I have a waterproof mattress pad and agree with whoever said you will want one anyway for all of the postpartum sweat/milk leakage/spit up. So many fluids. I also recommend keeping some Depends at home. My friend recommended them for PP bleeding so I had some on hand, and they were perfect for wearing to the hospital after my water broke. It was pretty much a constant stream and a pad wouldn't have contained it at all.

I'm washing baby clothes today. OMG, we have so many. Tons of 3 month size short sleeve onesies which I feel like won't be super useful in Nov/Dec/Jan ? I do have hoodies too though so IDK. The April baby to November baby hand me downs are tricky. We do have plenty of sleep and plays though. They're all so tiny!

I don't have a mattress protector, but I guess it's time. And plastic bags for the car, also smart!

I found a pack of chux pads, so I will be putting one of those in each car.
Some waterproof mattress pads suck and make you feel like you are sleeping in ge desert, check reviews.

All of our stuff was off for a bit too from our Feb to March to Sept and now Nov baby. If we need, layers will be added and the temp can be hiked up a bit too.

+1 for individual threads. It's just easier that way and there aren't a ton of us on here.
We did labor buddies on my other BMB and I could go either way, it's a decent amount of organizing for someone to do. I'm still close with my labor buddy (our kids were actually born on the same day lol).

LOL DH has to go back into work tonight. This kid BETTER stay put for another day. My cervix is angry about the check, but I don't regret it. Ya know, looking back I really should have kept my mouth shut about not wanting a Friday the 13th baby. I'm a little superstitious.

I have a terrible headache. Then I realized all I have had to eat all day is 2.5 doughnuts and a bowl of fruit loops and 2 cups of coffee.
Guess it's time for something healthy. Lol

That person checks up on you and potentially posts updates for you in your thread. It's really good for those having inductions. My LB had a three day long one so I chatted with her a lot and we had a pretty good account of her induction lol. We did exchange phone numbers. I think some people communicated through Tapa or email though.

I also felt like I was able to update the thread or wherever just as easy as I was to text my labour buddy. Also have to take in account time zones too which makes it easier or harder

Time zone would be extra hard for me since I'm around 6 hours ahead of you guys, like you all wake up around 2pm (for me)
I think it'll just be as easy for me to update the baby bee thread because of time zone wise, then you can all wake up to half a thread of me talking to myself waiting for the induction to work 😂

I find it easier to just update my own thread. I am an expert liveblogger. XD
I have a waterproof pad on my mattress - partially due to concerns over water breaking, partially due to the INSANE amount of PP sweating I anticipate if it's anything like last time. It was disgusting. I was waking up soaked. SOAKED. Take pregnancy night sweats, multiply it by five, and that is maybe an adequate comparison for the amount of fluid I was losing every night. I was also very, very swollen due to pre-e though, so...

Speaking of water breaking, I accidentally scared the shit out of SO last night. There was somehow water on the floor when I got up to pee last night (it was by the sink so I assumed from someone washing hands). I wiped it up but apparently didn't get it all cuz he must have stepped in it when he used the bathroom after me (he stayed up late watching tv last night). I was woken up by him frantically feeling around my crotch asking if I was okay and did my water break 🤣 I was like uhh no I think I would notice if I was soaking wet. Poor guy lol.

Laughing forever at this info from my doc saying BH should be no more than once or twice an hour. Okay, buddy. Tell that to my uterus.
